I'll have to finish my battle quests & see how well Poukie fairs with the point she can't pass. I'll also have to see with mama mush if I can advance & what is working best since she's a royal pain.

I've tried out the scrolls and RotL. Even with the GotF I can be pulverized (especially by Hustler). Timing is key where if opponent gives big blow you need to anticipate using it for that turn... but to my horror Hustler hit me with over -3k attack soooo Poukie was knocked out. It's a nice healer and I didn't have to use RotL often (almost never). The ones I really liked were Lucky & Morosbane. The boost of hp really made a difference while acting like a nice bomb, much better upgrade to Fatal Fire. I liked having 2... is it worth getting 2 Lucky or 2 morsobane or 1 of each? I usually don't use it to block dark, just hit & heal. Or should I wait for moso and earn it myself in the fall? Then there's the void scroll... very nice block but it uses 50AP!!! I'd have to get Poukie's intelligence up to be able to use the other scrolls I like. Is it easily doable? Or it's going to be super expensive?

I managed to beat feli bot ten times (had done around 5 prior) and beat Jacques ten (around 6 prior) so the scrolls (GotF, Lucky, Morobane) definitely made a difference. only in the end I needed RotL... so I think I can wait a while before getting. I beat recycle beast 5 times! I managed to get the recycle gun & you can only equip 1... so if I ever want to double blast I'll eventually need somo tablets; however, I don't think it's a priority for now.

Soma tabs are one of the best weapons in the game, its in every set that I'm going for max wins on an opponent for. BHB gives them a 1 use weapon, so it just concentrates their weapon pool. Soma actually dilutes their weapon pool. I'd call it essential.

A lot of people cite STS and RV as good staples, but really they are low yield. They are the best at what they do, but they have very small points where they are actually the best thing you could be doing. On a 250mil budget, they are completely overpriced. They got popular then they were 2mil/20mil. at 50mil/250mil they are way overpriced.

RotL very frequently sits in my set, but I rarely ever actually click it, and at your level, GOTF scroll is much more powerful. ROTL grows with you a little better, but GOTF is amazing for you now, and will catapult you in BQs.

Morosbane and Lucky scrolls are so overpriced right now too. Morosbane used to be less than 10mil, and you outgrow them fast. They are the best at what they do, and I use them on my small pets, but I have a budget of several billion just for scrolls. They are not efficient for a 250mil budget at over 50mil. They are really in the same category as a bomb.

Bombs are something that I don't think most people use. I use them in my default battle set to try and get through trash opponents as quick as possible so I have it set up as: bomb bomb constant constant freezer aon healer healer

but my pet is big enough that I don't need to change weapons to beat any BQ challenger anymore, I just need to lead with a freeze vs GE and thats about it (but my constants are SoSS + Wrath of K with a full set of EOR freezing mods.). My set up to beat a difficult challenger would be: freezer mecha soma rb constant constant healer healer

I think you are probably not yet at a point where a bomb would give you OHKOs on enough challengers to give you a ton of speed efficiency to the point where using bombs are effective. Bombs never help you win a battle you wouldn't already be winning. (they are also decent in boss fights)

Freezing scrolls are tough to gauge, I think you will always get more bang out of a GoTF scroll, 99% of people battling with their main pet did not have access to GOTF scrolls because they were so expensive. I think I'm one of the few people that actually has experience using GoTF scrolls while growing a first battle pet, because until recently, they just weren't ever available for sale on shop search (and I have probably bought 80% of the GoTF scrolls that have ever popped up on shop search). Freezing scrolls are good, but they are usually good in large numbers. If you don't have have the AP for 5+ freezing scrolls and a multi use scroll, and the budget for multiple of the scrolls, I seriously don't think they are efficient.

Thanks for the great feedback :) So for now it would be best to get at least 1 GotF... or is it better 2? I know even if I would get the challenger (which costs more) Poukie is not at a caliber to manage to win the scroll.

Lucky would be useful if I could beat Careaper; however, Poukie can't. I could wait to try and earn a Morosbane.

If I only get 1 GotF and 1 acorn bomb (I do use 1 bomb after a freeze but as you mentioned, it's not a one hit that kills the tough buggers) then I'd be left with around 150m. I don't have to spend it all right away. I could get a second GotF... worth it or save sp (did take a year to earn). Soma could be interesting... with the recycle blaster it gives 2 weapons that can become useless. hum think think lots to think about.

Freeze bombing was a common strategy on Neo, its really not that good here. The opponents are way tanker on subeta than anything on Neo was. Bombs were also more powerful on Neo than they are here.

Bomb first turn or no turn I would say.

I'm trying really hard to beat mama mush 75 times to get part of a scroll to make a freezing scroll and for the love of me it's not going well & royally annoying me :P I'm up to 33 wins woohoo grumbles so far away. I'm thinking I might have a better chance with the combo Pand & Ign; however, I might be wrong. I'm curious if I do a double blast (soma + recycle) if it'll make a big diff for Poukie so want to try it out. I also want to see if the acorn is worth getting since it is an expensive bomb.

If I really like the soma then I'll most likely get 1 soma & 1 GotF since it would be over budget if I get 2 GotF... or is it better to get 2 GotF?

I usually only use 1 bomb, freeze first with gorgun then when opponent is frozen bomb & my strongest weapon with aftermath scroll. I don't kill the big opponents but I do more damage than having to block and dodge the rest of the time.

want to mess around with another 3 GoTF scrolls? I have 15. If you bump your AP by like 4-5 I could send you a 4th too.

edit: Soma Tablets returned. For challengers with a small amount of weapons (forget Hustler) the tablets do make a good difference. If the challenger doesn't use the recycle rod there's a chance it'll use the pill box. It's making a good difference with mama mush. I'll have to get my AP 4 higher, right now I'm using 2 GotF with 1 Moro & 1 aftershock. It's providing a beautiful combo but just on the limit... mama mush is tough! I'm going to go and buy a soma in a few min, well worth it, yep borrowing it & trying it out convinced me :)
