yea it sucks.. but i am hoping my last batch will be good. will be candling on the 7th/8th. haha, yes there always change colour on you.. have you have seen one that was dyed? they will lose on the coloured fluff as the feather out. people mostly do it too silkies. not sure if theres a reason but some breeds just have feathered feet.

Yeah, fingers crossed it will be a good batch! I hope the candling goes well this time. c: I don't think I've seen an actual chicken that was dyed, just some dogs that were dyed colors. I think it looks horrible. Too bad about losing all the fluff. And yeah, people's eye colors can change, too, didn't happen to be and my sister. Silky is an adorable name.

thanks, so far i think things are going well. i'm not sure if i have in person or not but i have in books and videos. well silkies stay soft and i will be getting 4 of them tomorrow, around the same age as my chicks. 2 paints which will be white with black splotches here and there a black and a silver partridge

haha thanks.. they sure are! the two yellow ones are tiny, omg. and the two others are older then my chicks i have but smaller. but silkies are a smaller breed then what i have already. hoping for hens so badly. :)

Did those hatch from your eggs or you bought them?

i bought them today, a little wedding gift for myself i figure xD the eggs i have going, should hatch on the 21st and i will be selling them, unless i think about keeping the 5-6 from the hen i lost as i will be replacing my roo this fall or next spring anyways.
