Most definitely! I never took the time to figure out the wardrobe thing on Subetalodge until now, what a hell of a way to learn to do it.

LOL yep! Luckily it's not too hard once you get the hang of it. I'm still working on copying and pasting my codes. I keep getting application errors which is slowing everything down.

One person's hypothesis I saw, and I can't remember who said it, but they said people may have been removing items from the wardrobe to turn in to quests when the glitch was happening. So I'm hoping that a majority of the missing items are worth under 50-100k, apart from a few rare and cws that people also removed to sell or possibly move to a pet treasure or any other reason they would have taken it out.

I bought back a few of the ones I was missing from the google docs list. They were cheap enough that I didn't mind buying them again. Others are old Esther items. I bought back the Secret Garden Key because I had a hoard of Vesnali coins, but the other Vesnali items I am missing will just have to wait until I get more during Vesnali. Missing the Winnie the Pooh background has me a little perturbed though...

I keep lists for all of my collections on Subetalodge, not just the wardrobe. It's definitely useful not just for helping to check which items I already have before purchasing, but also just to have information in more than one place.

And once you get your lists updated, it's easy enough to keep them updated if you just remember to go add the items there as well whenever you add them to a collection on here. At least that's usually what I do.

And so far, most of the items I'm missing have been cheap junk that I don't really care that much about. There have only been a couple of things that actually have decent value. I'm trying to be hopeful that between the 4 month old backups and the lists being provided by other user reports, they'll be able to get most of this figured out in the end. I'm still very frustrated, but staying angry about it won't really help with anything so I'm trying to not be too worked up over it anymore.

The big problem for a lot of people is that this sort of thing seems to happen every few years. There's some big glitch that causes data to be lost somehow, and it's like... you would think they would have learned at some point but I guess not.

I have lists of everything else in Subetalodge, just not my wardrobe (lesson learned, lol). I was telling my husband about the lost data issue and he was surprised no one was checking back up data often. He's a computer programmer, so for him it seemed like situations like this should be avoidable. I just shrugged and said I dunno.

With everything else going on in RL I just have to shrug this off a little and hope for the best. It's super frustrating and I am disappointed that things were mismanaged, when it was a completely avoidable situation. I also agree that it shouldn't be happening every few years and something needs to be put into place to keep this from happening. Too many people invest a lot of time and their own money into this site for this to be a recurring problem. Hopefully this is a wake up call for this type of thing.

Honestly, it should have been avoidable. I'm not even a programmer, but whenever I even change my profile code or something, I save a copy of what I had before in case I mess something up and can't figure out how to fix it. So especially for people who do programming for a living, having backups of the data is extremely important and there's no excuse for not knowing that or not thinking about it. Someone should have done a check before they started rolling out the new wardrobe to make sure everything was backed up in case something went wrong.

And yeah, I realize too that pixels on a petsite isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things. But for people who have put a lot of time and money into this site, it is still disappointing to be having to deal with this. Although I do appreciate that they are working on it now and still communicating with us and trying to answer user questions instead of just being like, oh well too bad.

I agree with you completely. I always have copies of things saved. I even have lists saved of old data when I was changing up my hair more frequently on here. They definitely mismanaged things by not checking the back up before rolling out the new wardrobe. My husband was yelling at people last week for doing something similar (though not nearly as devastating because it was a testing site before they rolled out the data live).

Yes, for the people who put a lot into this site, they have a right to be upset and angry, especially with the CWs involved in the deletion. 1000 CSC does not even begin to cover the time, money and effort people have put in. I am glad that they are communicating with us too. I think that it's important they stay transparent about the issue and the steps they are taking to fix it.

I decided not to buy any new wearables in the steam shop until the wardrobe thing is fixed. It's not like the shop closes when the event is over. And I still have no clue at all what I might be missing. Yuck And with all the dancing I've only had 1 single duel (which I lost of course). What happened to the duels?

All I lost is mostly cheap items, and I've reported the ones I know of through the new system. I feel awful for people who've lost CWs.

I haven't had a single duel and I've checked every time! It's like the rate is super low this year.

I have no way to find out what I might have lost because I don't keep a list. Guess I just have to hope they are able to put everything back. And still no duels.

I just submitted my report of missing items finally. I probably missed something I actually did have but oh well. Once this is all over, now that I have my wardrobe list I can sort by price and buy some new stuff I didn't have.

I agree. The last thing I remember happening that we had to remember our lists and file tickets about was the whole fiasco with the "claim titles". I have a ticket with a few titles I was asking to have back, back in like 2016.

I apparently had used some of SBL's lists before, but I can't figure out how to mass update my pet's food and book lists now...

For the food and book lists, I think you have to update one page at a time, since those collections are paginated now. At least that's how I did it to start, and then when I feed my pet now I just add individual items to the checklist.

me too. Luckily I had a masquerade outfit saved that I put on before the lag and errors got too bad but I wanted to play with new items... The old wardrobe is straining the site too much and the new wardrobe is no where near ready imo and now all the attention is diverted to researching and restoring items so the wardrobe is just in limbo.

I figured most of it out now. The stickers mass add is the only one I can't figure out. I pasted the source code and it recognizes it as sticker-related but the stickers collection isn't in the dropdown and won't let me submit without choosing something in the dropdown.

Man, why didn't I use the lists years ago? This looks so helpful for finding cheap items I don't have yet 😔

For some reason, I never got a notification for your ping.

I couldn't do anything in either wardrobe. The old wardrobe just showed what I was wearing and didn't load any different tab. The new wardrobe finally tried to load my stuff but got stuck loading and wouldn't even save a new outfit. It finally loaded my items a few days ago but only if I viewed all items, I couldn't look at just face items or search for keywords. Today, it's finally working. I also have zero clue as to what items might be missing from my wardrobe. I didn't keep a list, but I think I'll have to start keeping one.

And WHAT happened to the duels? Dancing for days now and I've only had ONE SINGLE duel (which I lost of course). Did they eliminate all chances of them or is he afraid to come out? Huh? :(

I haven't unlocked a single duel. I hope to find him at least once before the event ends...
