I created him in advance, so I could just blob-ify him when the glacier ones were released laughs nods the fleece part is ok to get the needle through, but the side with the waterproof coating is a lot tougher to get the needle through. They recommend using "sharp" sewing machine needles, but all I have for hand sewing are regular ones (no idea if you can even get 'sharp' hand sewing needles o.O), hence the struggle ;)

I mean... I personally would have loved ti to look more natural rather than a perfect square but it's still adorable/cute. I do love the glacier eye.... the one staring at me from your leashed pet. lol

I am not sure if you can get sharp ones for hand sewing either. All mine are rather dull, though I do end up pricking my fingers and knuckles a lot (I am messy/sloppy). XD

well I'd thought it might be an iceberg, but I was happy with an ice cube ;) I have no idea what they're going to do with the graveyard one (seriously, what on earth could a graveyard blob be?!), but if the sweetheart blob is a wrapped sweet, or a loveheart / heart shaped cookie kind of look, then I'll be changing Contest into that laughs

hehe it was hard to find a bit of the Glacier Blob to get that headshot to focus on, without it looking really weird :P

I'm dreadful for catching my hands on pins, let alone on needles 😊 I've started using clips instead of pins, just to save the risk of bleeding over the project! ;)

Graveyard blob: A gravestone? OMGOSH I had not thought of the sweetheart blob as a sweet treat of awesomeness.... if it is then I am all in! I have bled on projects before. I usually just wash it out and it's fine though. :D Some of my embroider loops have my blood on them too.... blush face Though I try to not bleed all over the place.

laughs I'm short - only 5 foot tall, but the pattern said 3 yards (that's about 2.75 metres) and I was able to squeeze it from a metre :P I think that was a US 4 / 6 size, so I could fit the leg pieces side-by-side on the fabric to use a lot less ;) I still can't get used to indie-pattern sizing, it's so weird compared to ready to wear ones! 😊 (I still don't believe I count as an XS for some trousers - that shouldn't be possible :P)

I did have to do the inner waistband from a contrast fabric for those,, so for the jeans I'm making at the moment, I ordered a metre and a half so I had some spare ;)

Man, it’s been a LONG, LONG day. We left at 7.15, stopped for breakfast about thirty minutes later. We got at the dentist a few minutes before my appointment. I wound up getting some Novocaine so they could do the gingivitis cleaning. Then lunch which was impossible to taste or even eat. I bit myself so many times I gave up eating. Then got one filling which was a food trap and possible problem. I have four more cavities to deal with but the good news is the pain should be lessened in a few days because the gums wanted the cleaning. We got home just about 7 and then went to dinner. THAT was hard to do but managed to eat, even though it was hard. I’m exhausted.
