And the advantage of making your own gloves is that they can be as long or short as you like ;) I made a few to give away, that could be folded down at the knuckles - then it didn't matter what the recipient preferred for the length of the gloves ;) (and that reminds me, I think I've still got a few pairs sat here that haven't gone into their office yet).

especially when the fabric isn't too pricey - I discovered I can make a pair of jeans from only one metre of fabric, so I've been buying an odd metre if I find some at a good price laughs The coats take 3 metres of fabric (the one I linked is meant to have a lining as well, so that'd be 6 metres in total), but I'm not doing the lining, so that cuts the cost quite a bit ;)
