I am thanks. :) Went into town today for some food and a couple of errands. :) Mon is watching a christmas movie right now while I am trying to get ready with everything. Leaaving for moms tomorrow and Mon is going to her family. :)

Oh yes, my doctor loves it. He is vegan so he says he can never find treats or anything. I assured him it was a challenge I had already accepted. LOL I have since been baking him vegan treats every meeting. He always raves over them and is in shock I can make so many things vegan! :D I am just very good at subbing out and knowing that certain vegan products will affect the baked product more than a non-vegan thing and adjust accordingly.

Next appointment I have already determined I am going to make him cinnamon buns but perhaps make it in a slice-able breakfast loaf. ^^

that's even better - I wouldn't know where to start with making things like that vegan friendly!

Yes, well luckily I am already a vegetarian who is allergic to eggs/poultry/dairy so I am practically a forced vegan (though I love me my honey and I eat beef broth/soups without the meat in it). For me It comes a little easier to alter recipes due to already having had to do it for myself for most of my life. ^^ I have been baking and cooking for myself throughout my life since its generally not safe for me to eat out (which I never do except at a couple different places where they actually care about people with allergies and I have never been sick there).

Trust me I used to be too scared as many places had lied or made me violently ill. But I know with 98% (always have to have some room for human error.... lol) certainty that these couple of places actually care because they have described in detail their designated allergy areas and procedures. Thus far I have never been ill when eating there, it is nice to go there and feel normal though.

It is a cool tree. I'd love it a lot if it were bright and cheery colors, then I would probably have to get me one too!

that always helps when they go to that much effort to make sure they have it as clear as possible - some places over here seem to go the extra mile with having it all clearly labelled on their website so you can look in advance, but others just rely on you asking when you get in the store (and while there's no reason why they shouldn't know, I would've expected them to put it on their website as well!). I don't have allergies, but there's particular ingredients I avoid, so I prefer to check their websites so I know what is in whatever I'm looking to get ;)

That stinks big time, they should list it on their websites. It's good to know what things are in the items you are eating anyways cause who wants to eat something that is laced with a known toxin but that is mostly safe, you know? I've noticed a lot of people just don't even want to take the time to read the package to tell you... Many will say no, and not care, and most will say yes and er on the side of caution. I never believe them if they say no or yes too quickly. lol OH a snow covered tree would be ultimate awesome fav right there! I love outdoor scenes. We need more wintry beach scenes too - there are winter time beaches out there world.

nods they listed a sausage roll as "Firecracker sausage roll" - I emailed to ask what the ingredients were (as this time of year most places have chicken and some form of alcohol in everything like that), and got told to come in to ask in store. I kept bugging them so they did tell me by email in the end :P

Most of the other places in the city centre have gone a bit overboard with signs on the counters telling anyone with allergies to ask staff for up to date information (so they can go through the ingredients list with the person and check the person with the allergy is ok with whatever they are). But it's still surprising the ones that don't seem to bother!

Yeah, there seems to be a definite lack of wintry beachy scenes - maybe that means we need to find an artist to commission a cw from ;)

Grandma and my uncle and his gf is coming over today for dinner and whatnot. :) then I am having dinner at my dads tomorrow. along with my brother and his family. :) the day after that, it looks like my brother and the gang will be coming over to my mums for dinner on wednesday. :) So it will be a lot of family time for sure! We're doing our usual Christmas at home again this year - Mum goes to help Gran with cooking Christmas lunch (Gran still insists on doing it herself), but because Grandad doesn't get on with eating anywhere else, Mum & Dad bring back our Christmas lunch to have here, while Gran & Grandad have theirs at their house ;)

Oh my gosh your ha is so clever! Are you sensitive (or avoiding) to chicken and or alcohol? I had a friend who was allergic to beer but she drank it anyways, it was interesting - I think it was a sensitivity otherwise she could not have been eating it in spite of an allergy. I am glad you were able to get to the bottom of what was in the interestingly named sausage. lol

Maybe we should pester whomever the artist is who makes foregrounds on subeta about there being a lack of wintry beach scenes. I did that once when there were absolutely no brownies on site and magically we got brownies.

I strongly dislike the smell of beer (it sends me in terror) so I avoid it like the plague, so I get that.

I think only one truly beach wintry scene exists and it from lumi this year. They have made wintry mountains, lakes, rivers, but not beaches.
