I mean, I've hoarded stickers my whole life and rarely put them on anything, but I've also never had anyone physically put a sticker on my property without permission (they were almost always stuck on ME, and I'd stick them on my planner/textbook/locker/whatever to save because gift)

Except, at least to me, the subeta stickers only resemble real stickers in name. We can move them around and organise them how we want, which has always given me the impression that they aren't really permanently stuck to something. If I can move this sticker from all the way at the top of the page to the bottom, why can't I just remove it altogether? You even listed a few ways to 'remove' a sticker in real life, so I'm still a little confused on why you'd be so against this idea?
Removing doesn't have to mean take it out perfectly pristine, why can't we pay the hustler to stick a sticker of choice over one we don't want to see, or maybe use one of the various pen items on site to turn the sticker into a big blob of colour, there are many fun ways this idea could be incorporated.
Another point I'd like to make is how stickers are a part of my account that I barely have any control over. Sure, I can move them, but that's really it. Unlike the other collections, I have to make the decision to put it there, be it Plushie, beanbag, card or wearable, but with stickers just anyone can come along and add something to a permanent collection. I'm always worried someone will come along and unknowingly add something to my collection I'm not really comfortable with and there would be nothing I could do about it.
Also, the whole concept of a sticker book is completely alien to me, so I do view my collection as a sort of stamp album in that it's the closest thing to compare it to in my mind.
I definitely think people should not be able to keep any stickers that are removed (if someone wanted you to have the sticker as an item, they'd give it to you, not stick it!); but beyond that I don't see any problem with this (in principle, I have no idea about the coding aspect).
If you want to think of it in IRL terms: assume the sticker album's pages are made of sheets of thin plastic rather than paper. Unwanted stickers can be removed with the application of acetone. If anything is left over, it won't be a pristine sticker, but a small heap of dirty sticky gunk, worthless except for maybe for fragging (kinda like zapper dust).

Support.
For this or an option for "This user is not accepting duplicates of stickers" that keeps others from duplicating stickers in albums if selected. Idk.

I could get behind the idea of removing them if they are deleted.

I really really extremely want:Totally support this idea. I have a few dupes in my collection I'd love to get rid of.

Personally, I think the Hustler needs a sticker removal service. 20k sP per sticker removed. (Since he charges 10k for self-sticking.)
Stickers should NOT be destroyed, as we can always frag the cheaper ones, plus it would help deflate the cost of some of the seasonal ones.
I also like a "do not stick" option for profiles that we can toggle on/off. I love being stuck by friends, but not always strangers, especially since we can't currently remove multiples.
Oh Shinwa, please. I would LOVE an option to toggle on/off having stickers stuck to me, and I would be even happier with any kind of removal service. Delete the stickers entirely, send them back to the person who stuck them to me, I don't care. Just get them off of me. I've never been a fan of the whole stickering thing to begin with.
I would like to either be able to remove stickers, or to be able to hide ones I don't want people to see in the collection. Mainly for aesthetic reasons.
If you think it's too much to ask, it could cost money, like the Hustler's self-sticking service, maybe he could be paid to remove them too.
But anyway, if removing is not good enough, I'll be fine with the option to hide them.
I can see why people would want this feature, but what about mass moving of stickers? I know we can move them one at a time, but that is very tedious especially when some people (cough me cough) go a VERY long time between holidays and have back ups. If there already exists a way someone correct me and tell me how. xD As for removals, I also agree. I dislike duplicates, especially when it's some random sticker. If the copy is destroyed then it seems fair like others said.
Clearly you have never been stuck with a sticker that you find genuinely offensive. You'd change your tune. There's a few stickers I'd really like to be able to get rid of, either because they're ugly af or because they have slogans on them that aren't true of me.
Yes, in the real world, stickers stick.
But in the real world, sticking stickers to people or their property nonconsensually is illegal, even if it's rarely prosecuted. (Sticker books aside.)
I'd also like the ability to restrict only friends to stick stickers to me.
Particularly now that there're so many stickers that are kind of political. I would be furious if somebody stuck me with vegan stickers, tbqh. I'm sure there's a lot of people that wouldn't want the meat lover sticker stuck to them.
Also I have never owned a sticker album that didn't have pages that were treated so you could take stickers off and stick them to things. I recently took some X'mas stickers out of a sticker album I've had for at least 15 years and stuck them to a gift I sent to a friend and they stuck just fine.
(I have also never owned a sticker album that I shared with other people. I am the only person who sticks things into my sticker book.)
There is also the fact that if someone sticks a sticker you don't like on something you own IRL you have the ability to stick another bigger sticker on top of it.

I support. I tried to spell my user name out with stickers but the duplicates made it just a nightmare. Then there is the whole concent thing. I remember when we had account worth and i was stuck with that expense sticker and it kinda ticked me off. I didnt want it. Someone elses gets the achievement but I'm saddled with an unwanted sticker that screwed up my own personal goals at the time. Furthermore I'm not a big fan of the political ones and would like to remove stickers that dont fit who I am. I think the poop themed things are gross, for example. I dont want sticker poop. If someone is gonna put something on my account then I'd like the ability to remove or reject, bottom line. If we can block gifts why not stickers?
