A couple previews over a 50% grey background so you can see the glows/sparkles clearly. The stardust coming off the wings is removable or can change color.

Also, /albums/">for all your amazing peacock spider needs...
Wow he's so beautiful ;.; Could I potentially make use of both versions? I love the stardust and I think having both may make for a nice animation for a profile if that's okay? Happy to pay extra if it's more work.
No changes needed I loveee it!
It's not really 'work' to just resize the image and save out versions with and without the dust. If you want to get fancy I can also save out versions without the constellation and the constellation on its own in the same size canvas so that could be layered on top and animated separately. The glow can come off too.
I just assume someone will come back like two years later wanting revisions, recolors, resizes, and a four piece band to follow them around at work, so it's more or less set up so everything but the band is doable.
That would be super if you don't mind <3 I really like having the options since I think getting it animated on a profile would be beautiful since you did such an amazing job with the Stars and effects ;.;
@ HADES I wonder if I should just mail you a zip file of these... These should all properly line up, but I goofed and had to redo the ones without the constellation and the constellation alone because I apparently can't remember what all those layers do.
with constellation, with dust
Sorry for being a pain in the butt!! They look great and a zip would be wonderful so I can download it. If I could get a copy of them all merged for my own oogling that would be cool too LOL
Happy to pay anytime <3
@ HADES smail me an email address and I'll mail you a folder of the files. What do you mean by merged? Sadly the original PSD is completely gone because I messed up- these pngs are all that's left unless I reshade then recolor the whole thing T_T. Not a complete loss since I still have the vector line file from Illustrator and maybe the paths, but it's like 4-6 hours work lost.
Slot?
This poor thing has just had a rather rough time getting an overlay. Every time I try the person normally disappears. So glad to finally get something for him.
Character: Wistfull Reference link: https://sta.sh/2smap8vl1i7?edit=1 Description: He's the spirit of childhood. He's supposed to have the one red/yellow stripped ear and the one green ear as well as the pirate outfit. The rest of his is normal clawsion but with a plushie vibe. Line Preference: Either or! I'm not picky. I guess if I had to pick, vector, but feel free to do normal if it's easier! Additional Information: He can be semi anthro (like Peter Cotton Tail style) or feral. Just have fun with the pose c:
I'm not sure if I've made him too anthro/funny animal here. It's a bit more Bugs Bunny than Peter Cottontail. If he's too small in the canvas I can also redo his wings to make them small and cute so there's more room for his body. Let me know what you think.
PIRATES
UGH I love it so dang much ;w; It's so amazing and perfect and you're free to finish!
Trade is here- Trade Lot and the cost is 2000csc. It should be 3-4 days, and if something comes up and I think it'll take longer I'll let you know. Times are usually shorter, but probably not 24 hour since it's a bit much detail for me to no life it and have functional hands afterwards. Don't be afraid to ask for progress shots in the meantime.
Gunna bid now but no worries friendo. I feel you on the hands. Just bought some gloves to help with my arthritis. So take all the time you need UwU Thank you again so much!
Here are the colors. Let me know if you want any changes.
Wistfull
...I'm also still embarrassingly spooked by having unintentionally flattened Cosmic.. T_T
Nope he's perfect! Not changes needed! Thank you so much!
Also unintentionally flattening is something to be spooked by!
Yeah, maybe I need to start doing something like running Time Machine after I finish a piece but before I start resizing or dropping a copy on the desktop. It's been years since I've done it.
And Morgue's looking so gorgeous, BTW.
I normally like, put extra blank layers between everything or put all of them in a different folder to help prevent it best I can. I'm sorry about that. It's rough when it happens D:
And thank you! She's based off of
I intentionally merged the layers for sharpening after resizing, but my brain was not quite there... and I probably saved it like that out of habit without noticing until I opened the file up later. Derp derp derp.
- At the risk of seeming like a creeper (I lurk to see the nifty pictures), the method I use in Photoshop to avoid the dreaded flattened file and/or saving a resized master file is to:
• ctrl+a to select the whole canvas • ctrl+shift+c to "copy merged" (copies a flattened version of the image to clipboard) • ctrl+n to make a new file (making sure that the canvas size matches the original) • ctrl+shift+v to "paste in place" • resize as needed
I've luckily never saved a flattened file but have been gutted after absentmindedly saving a resized version over the working size file. This method leaves me a lot less paranoid.
Overlay recolours/edits here (closed to new orders) That's going to be handy for a lot of stuff I do. Thanks!
Unfortunately some things look bad when sharpened or when you sharpen them on a flattened image can mess up transparency or lines. Glows and dust effects over transparent backgrounds can cause an ugly, grainy halo on the lines that's noticeable over a dark background. So for Cosmic I had to keep some layers to avoid that since there was the tag team of both dust and glows to contend with.
(Or like, hope the client doesn't notice the weird halo. Shhhhhh! :P)
- Yeah, sharpening stuff can be a minefield. To be honest I rarely sharpen my images, if anything the brushes I use (being fairly hard/sharp) mean needing to be wary of things becoming over sharp when resizing, so you'll know more than me there. I usually flatten before resizing to try and avoid weird effects from layers and adjustments sort of under/over spilling by tiny fractions.
If I was in your situation, of needing to keep the layers, there's "Create New Document from Current State" (google will explain better than me). Which is a stupidly useful sounding function that I just found out existed and will very likely be utilizing in future.
