Woah really missed a lot of this! Sorry !
Well that leads to 'what's up'! I graduated not too long ago, and have been using my spare time to do all the social shite I didn't do so much of while I was studying. Aaaand I may have gotten carried away as I'm now juggling a few boys as well as all my dear friends xD While you're young, right? xD
LOL have fun with that ;) XD Love your ha!
Something of note that's going on in my life?
Work. My entire agency is under interim leadership and he's taken it upon himself to reorganize staff so that it will be "easier when the new person comes on." Okay, but the new person will probably want to reorganize us again. My boss is stressed which makes me stressed.
Right now, I'm trying to not obsess over it and just enjoy the Christmas season. When I finish my dailies here on Subeta, I'm gonna fix lunch and settle down to watch Christmas movies on Netflix. Tis the season, right?
imagine if they did escape rooms where the theme is escape from these noisy children :"D instant horror factor for me right there haha
gosh, they really get you to do intricate things for them, whistling? :0 oh boy xD
aaah, ty ty, I wish I was adorable as my av irl instead of a flu suffering mess xD
I finally went back to work today even though I felt like this:

Right now I'm on vacation until after the 1st of the year!! So my PLANS are full of getting shit done! The most important things on my list are baking (I make a LOT), creating homemade bird suet gift baskets, finishing a painting (there's a story behind it if anyone wants to know) and MAYBE I'll get my nephew's quilt refinished! I also have yet to start shopping for my friends on here and stuffing trees!
[edit] I know you asked this 2 weeks ago what song I was referring to. I've been MIA with RL, but here's the song! Mairzy Dotes
So I was talking to him again about it today because we really need to start booking tickets. The time we were planning on going somewhere is around his birthday. He really wants to do a family vacation for his birthday so that's why he would really like it if we could go and willing to pay for some of it. I just can't out of principal accept it because vacation is going to be a lot of money. Buying dinner or an activity is one thing. Buying plane tickets is another.
The Blue Jackets are a mystery to me: they should be fantastic (they did steal my favourite player in a trade), but then they play games like this. Sergei Bobrovsky can't play every game, and every game he plays isn't going to be perfect. But people still blame him for everything.
As for the Penguins (screw them to hell and back), they aren't built to win. They got rid of Fleury (mistake) and signed NIEMI to replace him (and then DeSmith and Jarry are AHL goalies). I think Murray is injured now (since there was a game with Jarry and DeSmith as starter/backup-I think it was Toronto?), so that's also a problem. No one is really producing as they ought to be, their defense is shaky, and they can't really play back-to-backs (they've gotten better, though, since they aren't at 0% with at least seven goals scored in each now. But it's still not good).

Oh absolutely. Jackets frustrate the hell out of me because they either ABSOLUTELY DOMINATE or they play like rookies.
And they seem to play better against the teams they shouldn't play well against-- they do really well against those in the top tier, but you throw them against the frickin Oilers and amateur league out there.
I love Bob. He's my absolute favorite. But even he has off-days, and when those off days happen, the defense needs to step it up a notch!
I was watching the Jackets last night (in between the Hawks game because that's my team), and I was surprised that they managed to pull out a win. They were up 3-0 and choked on that lead so hard, so quickly. Every time a team (no matter who) does that they always say: "it was a hard fought win". But it shouldn't have been! YOU HAD THE LEAD AND YOU BLEW IT. It's not like you were the team who clawed back from 3-0, ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS NOT FUCK UP.
And the Oilers man. What the hell happened to them over the offseason? Nothing! They just signed McJesus and Draisaitl to huge long-term extensions, so they literally couldn't do anything else. Hell, they resigned McJesus before Draisaitl...and he was the free agent! I just, I can't, okay. (I hate McJesus, in case you can't tell).

sorry to like barge in your convo but you should watch the show twin peaks, it gives a whole new meaning to the song mairzy dotes :"D okay, shameless plugging over, sorry xD
edit: I got a forum point, woooo lmao
ahh i've been sick these past few days with another cold, maybe because I was wearing only my pajamas when the verizon guy knocked on our door on a cold evening asking questions.
Welp, I have one more final paper to write. I've been putting that off since the semester started because I dislike writing long research papers. I really hate how whenever I need to find sources or information, it needs to be 'scholarly' and scholarly databases never show sources that are useful to me.
I've never seen the show. Not much of a crime, drama kinda watcher. My mom may have watched it. She liked murder mysteries. LOL I don't mind the barging in.
Hope you feel better soon! Writing papers is one thing, doing when you're sick is another. Good luck on getting it done!
HAHAHA congrats on the graduation :P
I wanna know about the painting :o
Ugh dear god. I love kids, I want to teach primary education, but I just can't stand it when they aren't properly kept in check. I don't think that the supervising adult had any clue that we were in the next room, though, so I can understand if they were just letting the kids loose to have fun. It was school holidays, after all.
Yeah we had to whistle, play piano, look through books, and we started off being handcuffed together! It's pretty cool.
Omg you poor thing, I hope you feel better! Lemon, honey, ginger, hot water and a little bit of cayenne pepper will bust through a blocked nose like nobody's business.
How was work?
omg same advice as above in terms of cold-busting drinks. I'm so glad it's summer, I always get knocked on my ass with some disgusting phlegmmy ickiness.
People always knock on my door at the wrong time. I was coming out of the shower once and I had the whole towel turban going on, with a towel wrapped around be b/c I go to my room to change, and there was this dude with a massive box of wine, and we just made eye contact while I walked down the hall and I was like ofmgfkjhj.
I put some clothes on and then came out to sign for it, but awkkkks.
- I'm assuming since you said you're doing labs that you're studying some sort of scientific field. What exactly are you studying? I was really interested in chemistry in school. Biology and physics just didn't do it for me.
- I always admire people that are able to sew and create things! Do your Christmas blankets have any specific themes? What sort of materials are you using?
- I'm sorry to read about you and your husband. I too suffer from anxiety and depression, so if you're ever needing someone to chat with who understands some of the difficulties, please feel free to send me a message. I've been neglecting my journal and planner lately, and I can feel the anxiety starting to creep back up. I'm hoping with a little time off in the coming weeks, I can get back to my routine. hugs
- Wow! Two essays in two hours?! I would have failed 😭 What are you studying? How many more exams do you have?
- Congratulations on the new job and training!
- I agree that healthcare here is a disaster. I'm lucky to have healthcare through my employer. I wish that the insurance companies would listen to the doctors though. It would actually save them money... For example, under my insurance, if I would like a certain procedure done to improve my health so that I'm not sick all the time, I need documentation of all of the times I am sick, plus MRIs to back-up what the doctor already knows. Then, there's still a chance that the insurance company won't cover it. So.... they want me to be sick all the time? I really don't get it.
- I'm sorry to read that you're feeling so lousy :( And your poor dad with that fracture :o gives you water and black-out curtains for the migraine
- NEW KITTY!!! SO EXCITING!!! What color? Have you come up with any names since you got him?
- Congratulations!! Parenting is so hard, but so amazing at the same time! <3
- You are awesome!
Meeee too... this is soooo hard...
- Burlesque Deadpool? I am intrigued...
- Escape rooms sound so fun! Not so much though after a full day of teaching those small children (or any children, really). :P
- hugs I am so sorry to read about your kitty :(
Alright, now to answer the actual question - What's up?
We're finally getting some repairs taken care of from Hurricane Irma. New drywall was put in today, carpet and painting will be finished next week. Now, it's just waiting on the roof... the whole effing new roof. Also, the kitty is going to the vet again tomorrow (we've been every weekend for the past three weeks now). She has bladder stones, which we are trying to dissolve through a new diet, except that she is allergic to the new diet... So, this has been, um, fun... I have just a couple more days left of work before a vacation break for the holidays, which I desperately need. The month of December is rough for musicians!
It was fun! It's the first time I've been to one, but I'd like to go to another with more people, I only went with one other friend.
Wow, I can't believe it's taken that long for you to get repairs from Irma, but I suppose there must have been lots of homes damaged. But yay! You're finally getting them! Good luck with your kitty, I hope she gets better. You're a musician? What do you play? C:
yup its BS, I feel like the insurance companies want you to be sick forever that way they can put you in debt its weird like my grandparents were on medical/medicare then after they passed away the had a bill of over 190k hospital bills and if not for my aunt having a disability (down syndrome) then their house would of been taken by the state. We ended up getting a waiver because of my aunt and the bill was cleared and we were able to keep the house luckily. I feel like they just want us to live in pain -_- its so sad.. and plus the last time I had a doctor was 10 years ago I only been to the ER and wen't to urgent care maybe like 3 times this year and the ER only twice its way expensive. I wish we had single payer like other places you would think they want us to be healthy so we can work and make the country better but then they get mad when people are on disability or on welfare.
[tot=britney]
- I don't understand why we're not on a single payer system... I really don't know why people insist on making things more difficult when there's an easier, more efficient way.
- I would want to go probably with a group of 3 or 4 other people. Enough to have fun and enough minds to work through it, but not too many so that there are 10 cooks in the kitchen! I'm a pianist, though I am can play pretty much anything as a result of majoring in music education. I have to be able to teach it all!
Yeah, that'd have been a good group size. I was pulling most of the weight when I went with my friend -- she's not the sharpest tool in the shed. I have another friend I want to take with me who has been to escape rooms before and is probably three times as smart as me haha.
Wow! That's pretty amazing. I can play out any tune I hear, but I can't, for the life of me, coordinate both of my hands in order to play an instrument fully.
- I am always impressed by people that can listen to music and figure out how to play it. My ears don't seem to work in that way :/ As for the hurricane repairs, everyone is a little on the slow side because the damage has been so widespread affecting so many states. To be honest, our damage wasn't really that bad, so people have been kind of putting us on the back burner. And our insurance company is so slow, but that's to be expected when the entire state is affected.
