It's a soup primarily made of beets and cabbage, popular in Eastern Europe. And it's one of my few cooking specialties, even though it's a huge PITA and really does make a big gory mess (my recipe calls for grating the beets; I don't know if you've ever messed with beets but grating them sprays beet blood everywhere)...but it's soo good.
