- better now? It's an old saved outfit and I think sometimes the layering order gets changed when the wardrobe is modified. And, I actually didn't really look at it, just dug it out and put it on right before all the LAG began. Thanks for letting me know. (Although is was sort of appropriately spooky for Morostide that way. :-) ) If you look closely, one eye is also showing through the Hypno-Monocle, but I decided to leave that alone.

Oooh I forgot to wear the Hypno Monocle! I usually layer two lips or two eyes to give the appearance of more volume LOL points at my own HA eyes, but in this case, it's not really noticeable, because of the cape's shadow, so it looks like a bag under the eye... your HA needs to sleep :P hahaha.

I'll just throw the monocle under the base, though... it won't look good otherwise. It can stay there with the Protective Sage lol Double hex protection XD

- actually I've been told that the monocle and the sage don't stack, so wearing both isn't supposed to increase your hex protection (since either is already 95% protection, that makes sense to me). And I don't know whether either of them works with the decreased chance of being hexed when random ToTing (also decreased wait time). I find that it works well to start the holiday with random since I want all sorts of different things, and then go to people in a specific ToT group a little later on when I'm looking for specific items.

And, yes, the monocle is pretty well hidden by the cape's shadow. I could just put both the minion nip and the monocle under the background, but somehow I just don't feel like doing that (for no really good reason). Guess I just need things to be at least a little bit strange for Morostide. :-)

I always TOT at specific groups once I get most of the things too.

If the cape hides them, then there's no reason to go through the trouble of moving them past the backdrop or the base :P

True, but I very rarely play with the wardrobe, so I should probably try to do things "right" when I use it. At least I should be choosing which layers go on top - even if the result is weird looking. :-)

Really quite bummed I didn't get to try my chance at the careaper this time around. I didn't do anything in the morning (my own fault), worked all day (not complaining), then came home to morostide and a wall of lag.

The lag was bad shortly after Morostide started and I heard it got much worse later in the day yesterday. But, Subeta has been making big strides in taking steps to avoid the lag that used to be a regular event happening and I can't remember having any other big problems in some time, so I'm pretty sure that March, April and May will all be okay. And whatever went wrong this time seems to have been pretty much fixed and that happened pretty fast. I'm very impressed with Subeta staff and some of the technical things that have been done about things like this.

You're right, I need to get my monocle on. I was putting it off because I'm trying to make a new avatar. Which doesn't make any sense really lol

I just figure Morostide is the worst because so many people love it, and there are so many clicks involve. Every few minutes for ToTing, by hundreds of users, everyone checking the forums for new items, every adding those items to wishlists, people making costumes. Eek.

But it's quiet now, I'm going to get a hot beverage and buckle down to get my quests out of the way. Then maybe we'll see if I feel like going to the gym.

Morostide is really popular, but there weren't that many people online when the lag and errors started. Honestly, having been a software developer and a system administrator it could have been a lot of things, including some sort of errors in the new code for the event, or just that the new servers were slow to come online at first. What really matters to me is that it was quickly taken care of.

got my super pet achievement yesterday, found echo early this morning (!!) and... after two years of disappointment i got the deer skin ;o;

i still have two skins left (alien / exp 164) but lol nah i'm done i'm OUT I'M FREE i don't even care if it looks weird with this outfit, i'm leaving it on for at least the rest of the day.

i didn't bother trying to quest last night after the struggle it was before reset so i have to feed widow before i get started... man, today i won't even complain about chase showing up at lvl26.
