That would be a no on the pstaff at 50 wins. I already had 35 in before I started today and was able to nab 15 more amulets on wins 36-50, so I am okay with that.

I am not sure how people will go to the 50. I think blues balls health at the point was right around 130,000. He is not easy those last few wins. Good luck to anyone else that tries it! :)

Thanks for confirming he doesn't drop the staff. I'd hate to think it might be given for even more wins, that seems like quite a lot of work already just to get to 50.

I can't see it being over that, because your right it is a lot of work to get to the 50. I kind of thought it being at 50 would have been a bit to high. If it was going to be added/dropped I would have thought 35 would have been about the right amount.

I'm kind of surprised the Prodigy Staff wasn't added as an achievement prize for beating Prodigy, that way people could still get it but it would just be 1 per account from now on.

Maybe it will be given out another way in the future. It's not /super/ expensive right now, and I'm not even sure how good of a weapon it really is, but still some people may have wanted one for their wardrobe or just to have.

I think it can happen, they just don't get the stat boost. I remember once battling Chase some time ago and he stole my mecha and got the blessing and curse to activate.

I know with the reset there is so much to do and to discover, but you have lots of time. You don't have any need to do it all NOW. When you are no longer enjoying it ... stop for a while and go do something else. It will still be here when you get back - even if that is several days from now. Almost anything you have to do will feel like work at times, even if you love it when you are able to choose to do it. So choose to do it ... and choose not to do it sometimes too.

I also know (because I feel a little the same way) that with these shiny new records you don't want to have any losses. Losses are bad, right? Wrong!! Losses are a badge of honor that show you are a true battler who pushes yourself and your pet to find your limits. If you have a record with no losses, then you are only taking on challengers who you can easily beat - and you are not battling The Hustler, who can hand you a loss unexpectedly just by bringing out his Emo Spork. Oh yes, and you can't participate in any boss battles - ever again. Personally, I'm much more impressed by records with plenty of losses - and also wins and ties. They show true battling and real growth. So be justly proud of each and every one of your inevitable losses, as well as those hard won victories.

For myself... you know what's funny I like the repetitive nature of these battles. Then again I am used to to such actions thanks to another game I play.

Can't do boss battles without losses

Great points, thank you for offering some needed perspective. I think I will still try to keep a perfect record for as long as I can, but I'm not going to hesitate as much as I had been doing a day ago. If I lose a few battles on the way, well, yeah it happens. And of course there are going to be hundreds of losses whenever a new boss turns up. But if I can keep it mostly focused to losses against the bosses, I'll be the most pleased at the end of the day, so for however long I can keep it up, I'm going to try.

Where do these Paramnesia opponents come from? In all my years here, I've never heard of them...

I’m actually really happy they changed prodigy’s loot. The new weapon he drops seems like a nice water blocking option for T10+ until you can win MW. Until now the only other obtainable water blocker for T10-T11 is the sierrac flail and that is only good for healing when you have 4K+ speed. The pstaff is unreliable anyway.

I’m sorry to hear the reset has been stressful for you :( There is no rush to battle opponents so you can always wait until your stats are higher before battling opponents 100+ times.

No losses went out the window for me when I decided to fight dick bear, haha. I dunno to me the fun part about battling is to push my limits and say I could beat an opponent before my pet is really capable. If I beat an opponent I know I can beat every time it becomes boring.
