Wow - so much battling for Morostide and to get ready for the reset - congratulations everyone on all your well deserved and hard earned victories! So exciting to see everyone battling like this.

Decided I'd better get the other challengers out of the way to know how much time was left to spend battling Nightlady. Especially needed to make sure to battle Carrion Lord who I never fought before. Let Gulp, my T6, have first honors with him.

So now all four pets (81 - T4, Gulp - T6, Tharg - T8 and Tos - T9) have 10 wins on: Deathly Harbinger, Spider, Candy Scorn, Lingering Haunt, Pumpkin Patch Goblin and Torchbearer.

81 made it to 5 wins on Wolve and Eager Dentist (I"m so proud of my littlest battler). The other 3 pets have 10 each.

Gulp has 2 wins on Carrion Lord and might try for more if I have time later today. Tos and Tharg each have 10 wins on both Carrion Lord and Umbrus. Gulp hasn't managed to beat Umbrus yet.

Tos finally got to 6!

Had to upgrade all my mods and switched out one of two Critical Strike Tears on my Gelatin Slayer for a Singed Baguette. Now at 6 wins, 3 ties (and another wasted Potion of Life because I was SURE I had her :-( ) and 64 losses, so 2 ties, 21 losses, and countless thrown potions and shards as well as trying different weapon configurations to get to this victory. Ironically, after deciding Tos was totally stuck I decided to go back to my original battle set but with upgraded mods (at least these will help me later) and RV instead of STS for the chance to freeze. For some reason having good luck freezing her with Glaciating Pylonics,, but not with Mercurial Throwing Vials. That pylonic has never worked for me when I really needed it before, but definitely came through here. Now to see if Tos can manage another win (and Tharg is still waiting for his chance).

- yes, sleep is very important (and besides, I couldn't see to battle :-) ) but I've been busy battling ever since I woke up!

yep i have seen yours ( i have all but the amulet of neutrality ) tried that but i lost even quicker that way lol and it only proves that i was right i suck at battling and you are a better battler ;)

i love that tier tracker !!! no more calculating for how many more stats needed whoot!! love it when they make our battle lives easy :)

you say dont forget potions/shards to add and mod weapons - all are added but potions and so on dont show for me on nightlady so i guess those are disabled against her ??

- you don't suck at battling. I've been learning all sorts of things from the battlers on this thread and you can too. That Nightlady set is based on a set used by who got got 4 wins with each of four low AP T9 pets (with a lot less losses than it took me to get to 4). And I needed to upgrade all my mods and use lots of shards, pylonics and potions to get wins 5 and 6. That gets expensive, so you may not want to do that. Tos has 3 ties and 64 losses to go with those wins - and I threw something almost every turn.

And don't underestimate the value of that AoN. An extra full blocker can make the difference in a close battle and each extra turn that AoN lasts is another full block for Tos to take advantage of.

There is nothing wrong with waiting until your pet has higher stats (or gets to a tier with better weapons) to beat a challenger. But if you want to push the limits, then you need to just try a lot of different things and see what might work out. Personally, I think a lot of battling success (especially at your pet's limits) turns out to just be being persistent enough to still be battling when you finally get that lucky battle where things work out in your favor.

I capped nightlady with my 9 just turned tier 10 pets with the same-ish AP and lower health. They have higher strength but I still had to keep grinding til a battle played out like I hoped to win. One of my 10s lost almost 100 times when capping.

Yup, sometimes it just takes persistence to grind out wins.

still have a few hours to try so i will keep trying until i have to leave for family vistit :):)

- I don't think I'll be able to get to ten wins with Tos still at T9. I know wound up boosting Oranos to T10 to use better weapons to get the last several wins. I could boost Tos, but since she's my main pet I don't have any T10 weapons to use anyway. :-)

Congratulations on all your many victories. I still don't know how you manage battling with all those pets. Four is definitely my limit! LOL

i can always lend you some T10 weapons if you want ( well if i have what you need lol i guess not all T10 weapons are good enough)

Congrats on your 4 wins! Rouland isn’t easy to beat! It feels like such a huge accomplishment to finally get 10 wins on him!

Since we're so close to the end of Morostide and I still have a T8 pet waiting to get a couple wins on Nightlady (I hope - I've been told other battlers have done it!) I think I'm going to just see how far I get with what I've got. Nightlady was kind enough to drop a Shriek for Tos' second win, so this is already a big success.

I'm also hoping to beat Umbrus at least once with Gulp and see if she can get a couple more wins on Carrion Lord so I'm sure I'll be kept busy in the Battle Coliseum.

Hope you get a few more wins on Nightlady before you need to leave.

i left nightlady alone for a bit and used bone again to get my 7th win on rouland first ! :) it gives again a little boost when winning from a challenger :)

- always energizing to get a win. And you must be a pretty good battler to be able to get 7 wins on Rouland! I'm very impressed.

not realy BoneCollector is T13 and has the stats and the scrolls that my luck :) he has 197AP and those scrolls are lifesavers !!!

Seven for Tos - met my goal of keeping up with my T9 battle friends! OMG - I was holding my breath until that Game Over showed up after her last turn, hoping Nightlady didn't somehow elude Tos again. - thank you for all the inspiration.

Don't forget that you still had to do all the training, beat all the challengers, read all the books just to get to T13. And then manage to get all those scrolls. Seems to me you earned every win.

- I keep trying to tell him that, but he doesn't seem to be very good at listening. He's been trying to battle me three and four times a day. If I had the stats (and the time) for it, I think I probably could have joined the 100 plus club. :-)

I think he's embarrassed at how badly he's been losing to KT and that's why he's bugging you and not me. What a sore loser. Sheesh!

Okay, I need Nightlady advice for my T10. I've managed to get 7 wins on her, but am really, really struggling on .

I borrowed a crap ton of Shrieks, so my scrolls consist of 6 Shrieks and a Divine Denizhen. (I chose to grab another Shriek and scrap my normal Aftershocks, as I didn't have enough AP for it and 6 SoD.)

I've primarily been using Darkness/Death Shards, with Glaciating Pylonics and Mercurial Throwing Vials.

So I'm inclined to believe that my weapon set is to blame for my troubles... Weapons: Rapier of Error Replica Minotaur Knocker Intricate Energized Helmet Soma Tablets Shinwas Temple Shard Rainbow Vortex Pheonix Quill The One Ring

I'd love to scrap my One Ring for something, but honestly don't have much. I think people have been using Gelatin Slayers, but I'm lacking one. (Anyone able to lend? I should be able to replace mods.) I'd certainly love to use AoN rather than STS, but am lacking that as well.

Mostly just looking to get win and then be done for the year.

I could lend you my Gelatin Slayer and Malignant Rift Staff. They both block some dark, but the staff also has some healing which might help so you can try both and see. I don't need any mods replaced, they're just in my wardrobe because I don't really use them myself anymore.
