i've been messing around in the wardrobe, fireside is actually my favorite but this and masq are the most fun to dress up for, i think -- i'm very excited to see everyone's avatars in the big trick or treat threads! i keep forgetting to add the minion nip and monocle though, haha
This is my absolute FAVORITE holiday ever.... and I get excited every time it comes around! I'm so looking forwards to what they have planned for this year.

If I'm remembering these right: - Reduce curses! - Increase candies! (I feel like that's the same. but, it does not hurt to double up. haha.) Reduce curses, but doesn't stack. Cheaper! - Increase chance for best pumpkin patch minions!

oh man, i thought it was just the monocle for less hexing / more candies o: subetalodge lists them both as reducing hexing, i dunno if they stack but it can't hurt to have them both~ thanks for the heads up!
[edit] a quick google seems to indicate that the sage and the monocle don't stack :( Hypno-Monocle Vs. Protective Sage: Difference? otoh that means that if you don't have either one, rn the monocle is a steal! (but the sage is cute and i can put it in a tc after morostide, so i'mma wear 'em both anyway lol.)

i didn't do a lot of googling and forum search has stopped working again (?) so i can't be extra nosy the easy way, but i didn't see anything nothing in the thankfully easy to find news post for the monocle, and the help topic is from '13 so it's possible they've changed it up since then and they do stack. only way to confirm would be filing ticket or something, i think, but i feel silly filing tickets for questions o:
either way, it can't hurt to have them both on! it's not 100% protection, but if they both work, then technically don't you have two chances to not get hexed? (like if one fails, maybe the other works.) probably wishful thinking, but anything that wards off bad luck is fine with me p:
I'm trying not to get too excited too soon, but it's difficult since there's not much to do at this stage except wait for Morostide! I wasn't super keen on it to begin with, but I love how excited everyone gets about it, and it's infectious! I love all the costumes and the new items and seeing which user suggestions made the cut.
Judging by past start times, I'm guessing it'll start on Monday. I don't suppose staff will be so generous as to let it start on Friday 13th.

Haha, I'm kind of hoping for a Friday the 13th start myself, but I know Monday would probably be more reasonable (and more in line with past starts, as you said).
At least we have a lot to look forward to, this holiday has quite a bit of stuff to do compared to some others (trick or treating, egging & tp-ing, zapping HAs, pumpkin patch, floating pumpkins, battle stuff, possibly a plot). And I think also mentioned at some point that they were hoping to release the new tea shop stuff around this time as well.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat, I'm trying to save up 9mil for a dang piano key and now i gotta drop moneys on protection??? D:

If you use backgrounds and stuff, you can just put the items behind the backdrop layer so they won't be seen. It will still count as you wearing them.
Oh yeah, lol! I forgot for a second that I wasn't on Gaia and can actually layer items. :V

i'm on my phone so i don't wanna do the items in spoilers thing (and previewing my internet holiday items is difficult wweh first world problems) but 1) man i've wanted recolors for those wigs for ages this is so great and 2) my favorite halloween candies were rootbeer barrels and necco wafers (and mounds/almond joy but i think we already had those) i don't care what you think give them to me

Also curious if there will be a second wave of items later on? I'm guessing probably so, this event is long enough to have two batches (and I think there was a second wave of stuff last year).
