Sue-better
Might be my english accent putting an 'r' sound in every word with an 'a' (bath = bar-th, grass = gr-AR-ss) ;)
I've always said SUE-beta

Most of the time I say "sub - ay - tah" but every now and then (mostly if I've been hearing American accents on TV) I say it as "soo - bay -tah". Weird to think about!
Read through all the replies on this thread and huh. My brain always associates 'subeta' with 'subete/すべて' and I end up pronouncing it with a Japanese lilt lmao: すべた.
Something close to 'sue-bettah' I guess /o/.
soo-BAY-tah
(or I guess for the original post that'd be su-BETA?)

Soo-bay-ta
Another one of those here. Though sometimes the first syllable comes out as "suh."
Is there an official pronunciation? Not like I'm going to change at this point but now I'm curious.
I'm also embarrassed to admit that it took this thread for me to realize that "Atebus" is "subeta" backwards. Sigh.
i switch randomly between soo-beta and soo-beh-ta!!
they/them
I pronounce it, and always have as sue-bate-ah.
Soo-bay-tuh But, saying it fast it sounds like im saying soo-bay-duh

i personally go with suh-bet-uh, but that might just be my southern accent coming out

I read Subeta as "Soo-bet-ah" and Atebus as "Ah-tae-bus"
Soo-bet-uh. I don't even care if it's the right way to say it - I've been saying it that way for 12 years and it's too late to change it now. BD
