I'm about 10,000% sure this has been a thread before but, hey, man, I'm curious: how do ya'll pronounce 'Subeta?' 'sue-BETA'? 'SUB-etta'? Something else completely? Is there, like, an official way, or is it similar to the 'gif v. jif' argument?

I think it's offically supposed to be su-beta like alpha, beta, etc. I still pronounce it su-betta, though.

Other ways I've heard it pronounce: su-betta su-bee-ta su-bait-ta sue-bay-tah and so forth. Mix and match! So many sounds for so few letters. It's a bit of a bitch to pronounce. [sub]ba-dum-ching[/sub] I mean, it is a fun word for a fun site~

Bonus: ate-bus for Atebus (the moon). Quick and dirty, like eating a bus should be! heh. I don't know how else that word works. A-te-bu:s? :d

I've been pronouncing it 'at-eh-bus.' Maybe it's "ate a bus?"

I say Sue-bet-uh But when I talk about it with my friend I just write sub and pronounce it like that. And I pronounce Atebus like At-ay-bus

I think that the way to pronounce Atebus (at least) is in the subetapedia somewhere, but I couldn't find it when I looked before. It's kind of fun seeing how other people would say these things, even if there might be an official way to.
