I never did get an alert after I went through the Ice Fields earlier today and got the immediate one, and just went now and got another immediate alert.

Yesterday and today I got the Ice Fields alert around a minute after I had set it.

Same thing happening to me with the ice fields alert. Though if I'm not mistaken, it's only the first alert (the one on the last page in the fields), that immediately gives the alert. I now set the alert on the first page, and also on the next page (the 'You have some time left before you can start exploring again!' page), and that didn't immediately gave an alert, so the second one might actually work?

Polar Ice Fields Alert still not working correctly. The alert pops up right after setting it, but not, when the timer has actually run out.

I looked for a thread in bugs this morning but decided to turn here now in the evening ;-)

but I DO need to click it again in order to get it to work properly. It has always existed there on the page whether or not you clicked it once or twice and this has been true for years even before you even got to it. If you did this either on purpose or due to lack of control in the past, you got two Alerts in your Events instead of one, but no other consequence. But now it has been necessary.

Are you directing me to try to not double click it and see what happens?

Yes, I am. Try to click just the button on the ending page, once, and let me know if it works.

I mean, having to click the button twice is a bug. Even if it's always worked that way, that's not how it should work ideally. But while messing with the code just now I might have inadvertently fixed that too, so... let me know what happens :)

Polar Ice Fields

Very quickly, you lose track of where you have been, but you decide to carry on. It is not until you stumble back on your own tracks and realize that you have been going in circles that you begin to panic.

You turn in circles, becoming more and more hysterical before you glimpse the sparkle of light in the distance. It must be where you started! You begin the long trudge back, determined to be better prepared before you set out again.

Set the alert here and came to "You still have some time left..."

So far have not received the false immediate alert. I'll see tomorrow, whether I will get the correct one.

I think it should only take an hour! So if you're around in an hour/later tonight, you can check it then. :)
