I wasn't even aware this was a major debate (silly or not). I would have expected more contention over anchovies or something, huh.

Pineapple and onion is one of my favorite standard-ingredient combinations (i.e. something you can order from any ordinary pizza place). I think my favorite pizza ever though is the vegan Thai "chicken" pizza from Pizza Pi in Seattle. It includes pineapple (and peanut sauce!)...all their pizzas are hella bomb though.

The idea of mayo on a pizza (or anything) actually upsets me. Mayo is the worst.

well basically everyone agrees anchovies are nasty. Even people that like anchovies are probably like hey I like this gross food. (Or at least hey I like this food that most people don't)

Liking pineapple is common, although not everyone likes cooked pineapple I guess. But all pineapple is good pineapple imo. Even my cats will try to steal the pineapples off of my pizza.

i've been reading this entire thread and i'm absolutely horrified by the number of you people putting pineapple on pizza. that being said, enjoy what you want. i guess. ;P

Haha good point, that's probably true. It's just always surprised me how ubiquitous they are on pizza menus. I've never seen anyone order them but for some reason they're available everywhere.

I don't know what's so weird about pineapple though. I mean, if pizza is pie...it's pretty normal to put fruit in a pie and cook it. If you think of it that way, it's really the most normal commonly-offered topping there is. :P

I think that this is relevant to the topic. Why would you want to eat those pineapples on pizza? Well... hahaha.

Oh man, bleu hawaiian is one of my favorite pizzas. The one I tried had bleu cheese as the base, mozzarella, bacon, ham and pineapple on it.

That said, in parts of Europe they put CORN on pizza. (???) And in France they like fried egg on top, and in Japan they have mayo as a topping at Dominos? IDK PINEAPPLE SEEMS KIND OF OLD NEWS

I've never had pineapple on my pizza! I have to wonder what it tastes like. You know, I'll just have to test that out.
