Just a little confused about the mixed signals if her quests were such a big issue from the start?

I filed a ticket last year, and was responded to by a UA, who went to go ask if it was perfectly alright for me to give my friend my money in order to do her quests? I asked while we weren't doing a quest-a-thon, afaik (though I might be wrong). The site's not exactly dissuading its users from doing something by giving them express permission to do the thing.

Yeah, but it's still odd to me for Subeta to suddenly turn around on something that was permitted almost literally ever since the newbie quest was implemented. (and even somewhat encouraged in the case of quest-a-thons). People have filled tickets only to get the all-clear, and it was no secret whatsoever to staff all across the board that recently, one could make a private forum group to store sP and not have it count toward your total. Or even ask a friend to hold your sP for you while you quested.

I don't have a problem with closing the loophole, don't misunderstand. I'm just perplexed that you appear to be blaming users for something that was asked and previously permitted by the site's staff.

That aside, limiting her to new users alone is going to shaft returning users that might want to do her quests for achievements. Or old users that played fair and never got the chance to do her quests because they didn't want to use exploits and were always over the sP limit.

Also, even for new users it may still be difficult to get her achievements. With a basic account, it would take 15 days to get the top tier (150 quests), which is obviously within the 30 day limit.

But how long does it take for new users to get accustomed to the site? By the time they really understand what achievements are and decide that they want to work on getting them, their time limit for Sarah's quests may have expired.

I missed out on the computer quests when they were still around (I can't remember if this was with this account or the one that got cleared), mostly because I didn't understand achievements (thus not knowing I wanted them) nor did I understand quests. I was super shy going on the forums, so I didn't go seek out my answers and I was too scared of trying out things like quests. By the time I understood everything, the quests were gone and achievements were retired.

I've only started doing battle quests when one of my friends said that was he trained his pets. I thought you needed a super good battle pet.

So I do wonder what you plan on doing with those achievements because it will be frustrating for users to either see her and her achievements and not be able to get them, or see her and not understand why those achievements are retired when she's still around.

Sounds fine. While the forum group workaround seemed useful, it did also feel kind of sleazy. Is Sarah's Quest achievements going to be retired then as well?

I used to do Sarah's quests before the fix was implemented in trades, where you could bid the sP on a trade and not having it count. Since that fix I've stayed clear from her, because it was obvious that it wasn't intended for everyone.

So I am ok with Sarah's quests not counting for future Quest-A-Thons and with 's comment to make Sarah time limited to new users .

What makes me sad are those three QP (because obviously in a month they add up if you quest daily) that are unobtainable! Can we do something about it? XD I'd love to receive 30 QP a day instead of the 27 odd number :P Maybe can SWQ can double the QP with the payout (to get 6 instead of regular 3) or is this a bit too much of a stretch? :P
