Using a forumgroup to get around the sP limit is not how it is supposed to work, and we ask that users kindly not use such an exploit/loophole to get around Sarah's limitations. It's something we'll be working on fixing. ;)

We should never have condoned this, because it's against the spirit of Sarah's quests - she's intended to only be available to those without a lot of sP. We are not going to retroactively punish anyone for doing this, of course. It's our fault if we didn't communicate this clearly to begin with.

I think it's fair to make an announcement of some sort to clear this up, since we never explicitly disallowed it. And we should be accountable if we failed to communicate it. do you think you could take care of some sort of announcement for this? I don't know if making a news post would be overkill for this but I guess you know better than I how to handle such things. :)

Nobody's in trouble for this, we're just closing up a loophole that is not in the spirit of the sP limits for the quest. It may have been wink-and-nodded at in the past, but it's a loose end that's being tied up. No need to panic.

That said, I'm not really authorized to make such an announcement. Full implementation is still under discussion. I just thought I'd mention it here since it was so recently brought up, and I thought you guys might appreciate a heads-up about an upcoming change. Once everything's been ironed out, I'm sure it'll be properly announced. It's just something that's in the works.

It's likely I'll just change Sarah to only be able to be done when you are under 30 days, and remove the sP limits from both her and Sagg.

It's been a yearslong quest of it being super clear that Sarah is for new users and only new users who don't have a lot of sP and us constantly plugging these little holes that people find to hide their sP even though it's pretty clear what the intention here is.

I'll make an announcement when that change is made. :)

Mostly because it's hard for us to remove her once she's already there and there is a competition going on. People using loopholes to get around the limit has been happening for years before the first quest-a-thon though, so I don't really think that's part of the problem other than us encouraging users to complete as many quests as possible.

What will likely come out of this is that Sarah will be time limited to new users and not included in future quest-a-thons. We'll take that into account when setting the goal, obviously.
