But question: does it have to be a caped crusader, comic book style hero/villain or can there be otherworldy/godly/mythical themes involved?

So I decided to take a different take to super hero and villian hope this is accpetable!

different takes are totally acceptable! As long as the hero has good qualities and is inherently good and the villain has inherently negative/evil qualities!

Thank you for running another awesome contest. I love your themes. Here are my entries.

I know the names aren't that original but I think there is something to be said for simplicity. I went more in the graphic novel, Constantine, Preacher direction then the comic book, Spiderman, Superman direction with my characters - I hope that's okay.

Hero : Outfit Not Found Psycris Born to a family with interests in the occult and mystic realms. She began to show her signs of psychic/telekinetic abilities at a young age. Lifting small objects, bending spoons, and other basic abilities. Her parents continued to raise her to use these powers, allowing her to build up the mental strength to levitate, create illusions, move limbs and 'control' the bodies of other human beings, and lift heavier and heavier objects. Her claim to heroism came when she'd saved window washers from hurtling to the ground after a wire was cut. From there, she began to help people more and more, eventually making her name as a hero.

Villain : Outfit Not Found Marie Lefévre ; The undead beauty Born to a wealthy family in the mid-1800s, Marie was a beautiful woman. Though known to be a quiet and respectful, she spent her time indoors reading stories of adventure. Upon her arranged marriage to an older man when she'd hit her 20th birthday, she resented and even outwardly protested against both the marriage and the man in question. Though she was routinely ignored. Upon being forced to go on a date with him, in hopes she would change her mind, she fought through the night. Just as the sunset and the sky darkened, he pulled her away. Though his attempts at having his way with her were thwarted, he murdered the young woman in cold blood. Running off into the night, leaving the bloodied body of Marie behind. It took years for the man to be convicted and executed for his crimes. But it never brought the family solace for their ignorance. Hundreds of years went by-- it was only when a cult, attempting to practice satanism that her story circulated. The teens circled the grave, candles lit, a pentagram encased around the grave and a chant in demonic script ushered by their lips. At the end, the candles blew out by a gust of wind, and a hand broke through the encased stone. Her mangled and disfigured body rising out of the grave. No longer the beauty she once was. The teens, who all attempted to flee were slit at the throat and left to bleed out. From there, she would continue her murderous streak-- killing men young and old, draining the blood from their bodies all in the name of revenge. From her 'rebirth' she had been given dark and demonic powers, nails the length of claws and an unhinging monstrous jaw. Able to regenerate wounds and reattach limbs, she has yet to have her heart be soothed.

Notes: Quiet body; the type of person that would start to speak to the person next to them and startle them because they had no idea when they got that close. Defensive combat style. Scarf is a living entity with it's own intelligence and emotions; sassy.

Notes: 2-inch talons, mute, flexible and agile, sturdy, makes aggressive LOUD movements, high first initiative.

Private Outfit Lokuta- Son of Deva

The son of a Heavenly deity and a mortal, he lived his childhood in a small rural village with his adoptive parents. When he was eight, he had his first vision where he learnt about his origin. It also contained a warning: An evil power was going to flood his village, and he needed to guide the people to safety. Eight years later, he had a second vision. His mission was to rid the world of evil demons working for a dark prince. He travelled the land to train and meditate. Helping people along the way. Fighting against demons that plagued the lands with his new made friends.

When Lokuta achieves enlightenment, he turns into his deity form- he grows in size, an extra pair of hands, a golden glow surrounds him. His strenght also lies in the people he protects- their faith and pieceful offerings to good spirits and gods gives him power. When he gets his third and final vision and reaches full enlightenment, he will destroy the demon prince and all his minions.

Varja- Vessel of Asura

Ancient stories tell of a prince, who lived in a kingdom protected by mountains. After getting wounded in battle, he got scared of his mortality. All he wanted was more power, riches, to rule it all. One day he got a visitor- a priest with the answer he desperately needed! The ruler had to lend his body to a demon and let it reside in him. After sacrificing one hundered peasants and giving a blood oath, the posession was complete. But with the new dark powers, he craved for blood and war. It took a golden deity to bound him in the mountains. But recently, people have seen sights of demons roaming around the area, the prince's minions roaming the earth, bringing chaos with them. Indeed, the dark prince, Varja, has risen again. He is but an empty shell for the demons to reside in. Destrucition and demonic forces keeping him somewhat alive.
Varja's devout followers are crooks, murderers, men of power, lords of crime. He feeds on their bodies, faith and blood sacrifices, the demon prince's ultimate goal is to become the all-powerful god to rule the earth. It should be easy, since all the good spirits and divine beings can't access the mortal realm anymore. But there's one pest, that ruins his plans, who banishes his evil and makes him weak. He has to be dealt with.

Villain Gloria VanStockens Outfit Not Found Not your typical villain she's a Bloodsucking lawyer by day Bloodsucking vampire by night. She sucks the courts dry of their money AND their blood.

ahh ; w ; thank you, it was fun ! i had a trickier time w/ it than i thought. for the prize pool I like the coral bay cover up & the Gladiolus Pins -- for a back up I'll take the clever eyeliner and ahhh, idk what i've got on my wl, honestly, at least anything out of here would be appreciated since my actual wardrobe needs some stuff - v -;;;;;; i cleared out lots of old things i dont use so it got empty fast
