I'm in Northern Colorado, but I'll be moving in the next few days. I found a couch to crash on in Texas, and it's close to Dallas, so I may have better luck finding work there. In theory there are many resources, in actual practice not so much. There's actually supposed to be low-income housing assistance in the area I'm in now. I checked in on it earlier this year. Turns out it's just a lottery. It's pure luck that you get chosen to get a roof over your head. Priority goes to vets and families just to get on the list for the lottery, and the list has been closed for over a year. Poverty issues here are very downplayed. People like to talk about how low unemployment is, but like to ignore that many people have to work more than one job to survive. Many more are in debt, have no real healthcare, and live with 9 other people to pay rent.

- Is anyone missing this as much as I am? I feel like without a daily goal, my HA is... sad and lonely? Has nothing to occupy her time? ... I'm wanting to be back online, and if this is what it takes... I've helped run forums before, and posting a new goal each day should be easy enough for a non working housewife... And with a few dedicated helpers, even when I'm on vacation or whatever, it can be updated. What do you, the DI lovers of Subeta say? It's horrid seeing go, but I think we can get back on board!

DI was the only thing that kept me on SUbeta, so if you re do it, ill help any way i can :)

I would be thrilled to see it up and running again. I'd do it myself, I just don't have time. I wouldn't mind doing it every once in a while though.

I've been surviving by participating in contests on the HA boards, but they're, at best, weekly and so my HA has been very stagnant.

- So I think that means I'll have to start a new board. Okay. I'm heading to bed now, and if anyone wants to help out, please (PLEASE) sMail or comment me. I'd like to at least get two or three helpers. (different time zones a plus, I'm CST, Subeta time -1) Also! A few item ideas! Theme ideas, Contest ideas (for when I'm on vacation, maybe? I support this also! My hours are scattered so I can't really commit with a daily post, sadly :( But I'm fine making a list with suggestions so you guys only need to pick one for the day. And I hope Dreadful get back on her feet soon so she can join as well!

i miss this too! i hope Dreadful is doing ok ❤ even though lately i haven't had time to participate every day, i loved seeing all the kooky items, and loved the challenge of trying to incorporate it into an outfit. so i'm totally up for a reboot!

I got an offer, and it's supposed to start next month, but the pay is really terrible. (Like think job that requires a graduate degree, but pays less than rock-bottom grocery stocking nightshift wages.) I have to look into it more once I get up there, but it's possible I may not be able to afford internet at home, and may not be able to do regular updates on time. I'm heading up that way in around a week. If I can pull it off in terms of finances and schedule, I'll get DI up and running again. Assuming I don't get lynched. Because it is bible belt. And I had to dress up as a guy to get the job, because they don't really hire ladies much in my field there. :I So if I'm alive and such, will get DI up and running again! I currently have net access, so I can do DI updates for the next week. After that, things get questionable until I figure stuff out jobwise.

You can do it!! You've come this far already, and while there's still a lot more waiting for you if anyone can do it's you!! dò.ób We'll be waiting here once you're back on your feet to participate in DI once again!

I'm glad you found something even if it's small! You said that where you're staying is near Dallas, which is where I live ("near Dallas") and it's really not that bad here compared to other places in Texas, so I don't think you have too much to worry about. Just the usual amount of being careful so you don't get killed in the states. I don't get out too much due to health reasons, but if you want to shoot me a mail to talk about the area a bit I'll do my best to help you out~
