To each their own. You can believe that about Wesley all you want, but in this case you are definitely going against canon.

How ? It's never been stated he's anything. And, I know this is very shocking, but bisexual and pansexual people don't lose their sexuality when marrying. I know this for a fact.

To be honest no character's sexuality is 'set in stone' on this site. We're firmly of the belief that sexuality can be fluid, and we tend to let our characters speak to us with the chemistry they create in the situations we put them in, and no consenting adult relationship is out of bounds.

Isaac has a thing for Vic, but Vic is dating Mathis (Plus Vic has a lot of admirers). In her listing, Jade wants to intern at Yun Enterprises and studying to be an engineer which would be great to get them together. I think they could click well if they were to get a chance!

My favorite canon couples are Esther/Emma and Jaxon/Ian. I also love the platonic/friendly relationships between Nico/Liz/Manwar. I like to toss Rumi in with them for times when they need a fourth for games or when Manwar needs some good vegan recipes. I could imagine Rumi and Nico getting into long discussions about video game theories and how they relate to current social issues and she and Liz could bond over coming from large families.

Jim and Lindsay strike me more as gay workout buds or possibly even siblings that came from a very health-conscious family (maybe even had a strict father that woke them up at 5 every morning to do drills uhuhu)

Though I could 100% imagine Batista having a crush on Lindsay and wandering away from his stand to visit her on her lunch break or dragging Ricardo to her shop to pretend to look at hermit crabs or taking Raffles for a walk. Lindsay's just like HAHAH NOT REALLY INTERESTED?? but she thinks of the Carnival crew as a second family and enjoys seeing a couple familiar faces in a sea of tourists and irregular customers.

Lindsay prefers adventurous girls like Laure and Chimalma. She had big plans to travel after school, but never made it further than Delphi.

And for another one-sided relationship, Joyce (Thimble and Co) is really interested in Mathis (Sable Smithy). They met when she was learning to craft her own jewelry and she appreciates hard workers who are good with their hands. Sadly, he's in a relationship. :c (but they met a while ago and she does have that son hmmmm)

I hate to disillusion you, but whether you like it or not, people don't change their sexuality on a whim, Bruce Jenner notwithstanding. Wesley shows no sign of going transgender, he is just a straight male. He may get married again, he may just play the field. Either way it will be with a woman, not a man.

I'm totally on board to Qazim X Merana ship, too. And since she's free to do what she wants now, she can totally go and make kissyface with that dashing young Neela herder over there if she wants to and their love makes her a better person and they live happily ever after the end.

Following on from that, I like to think Laure's got a bit of a thing for Qazim. Best friend's brother an all that. LOVE TRIANGLE!

I quite like the idea of Johannes and Mattieu. They both seem to possess quiet refinement that would be complimentary.

I also used to think Joyce would do well with Mathis, but that's off the table, so I dunno.

We may never know for sure! But it's fun to imagine either way.

@ the fluid sexuality thing though, I think it's important to remember that these are fictional characters and even fictional races that exist in a world that isn't our own that may work very differently from ours. As Rah said, they've never said that a character is 100% one way or another, so just because it hasn't been plainly stated that Wesley (or anyone else) is interested in men/etc, doesn't mean that he's only interested in women. It's cool and all if in your mind he's only straight - I think that's true for a lot of users - but if you're only going to shoot down others' ideas, there's no point in making a board like this.

irl, sexuality and relationships are variable and confusing for a lot of people. You can spend your whole life only being attracted to one type of person (or not attracted to anyone) and then someone comes along who you feel such a strong connection with that it throws a wrench in everything you thought you knew about that part of yourself. It doesn't even mean that you've changed for good, sometimes there's just a rare exception. Humans are too socially complex to just be sorted into A or B categories. I personally feel like a lot of species probably are, but they obviously can't tell us their feelings.

You know what? You're right. I can't impose my beliefs on others here. If someone wants to pair Wesley off with another man, that's entirely their right. I'll keep thinking he's straight, but YMMV, which is cool.

I do think Qazim doesn't stand much chance with Merana, because I think she has little use for humans on the whole. Unrequited love can be so painful. I like the thought Laure having another case of unrequited love for Qazim. Will he ever see the treasure that's right in front of him?

I'm reminded of something from college. I was hanging out with a friend, Jax (short for Jaxon), this adorable nerdy ginger auburn as he hates being seen as a ginge, when we started discussing sexuality. At some point he started to realize something: he wasn't exactly as straight as he thought he was. Long story short, we had some fun and he's now dating a very cute man.

So while you're free to headcannon a non-confirmed-as-anything character as straight, I am going to headcannon him as singing Getting Bi as he cleans his house. Which is a song sung by a character that was married with child until his wife divorced him after cheating on him with her boss for five years, and he realizes that he's actually bisexual.
