omg our Ryders look similiar, I changed mine's name, kinda bummed they only call her Ryder. Heck yeah I'd be down. That goes for anyone who wants to play multiplayer. (I'm on pc by the way.)

Thank you! The last ME were with so many shooting and I suck at it with the controller, but I'm waiting till it's cheaper and give it a try. Because Mass Effect is awsome. <3 Is in ME 4 a buildmodus like i Fallout 4 or something like that? In ME3 we had a little room and could place an aquarium, that was fun.
This happened last night while playing multiplayer with . My game at first started adding random E's to things but then... it got tot the point I couldn't read a thing.
The beginning of it;

It began to spread:

Thankfully restarting the game fixed it, lol I had no idea what was going on.
I BEAT AN ARCHITECT LAST NGHT!! Decided before going to Voerl after I finished Havarl 'd go back to Eos. xD HOLY CRUD it was intense.
Oh was the hair better this time around? I had no idea since I didn't give myself the opportunity to tweak my character lol. I'm still assuming that there are no long hair options though. Sometimes I want my character to rock hair that goes past the shoulders. I mean, Ashley and Miranda had longer hair soooo why couldn't Shep or Ryder?? And I was just telling my fiance the other day that I wish you could change your hair mid-game. Like, why not? Other games allow you to do so. It shouldn't be that hard. It's just taking the same preset hair options and creating an NPC that allows you to change it at a later time lol.
As for the face, I know everyone whines about the face animations but that aside, just the look of the face seemed off as well. I normally don't customize the face but I probably would've had I been less impatient and customized the character before beginning the campaign.
And I noticed you mention beating an Architect. Holy cow those guys are no joke. It was like a 30 minute fight or something. And I feel like my weapons are just, not all that powerful so oh my gosh.
The Architect was so so much fun. I don't want to spoil it for anyone because the way it came out of the blue just made it that much better for me. One of my highlights thus far, easily. :D
Thanks @ sentinel for the thread! For some reason I didn't even think to look for one. @ Thomas pointed me in the right direction.
For the past week, I have sunk way too much time into this game and I'm through the main story. Don't worry, I won't post spoilers. c:
A few things I noticed to address what you all have said. If you change Sara's appearance and leave her name "Sara", others will call her "Sara". Which is nice when talking to SAM and in the more personal moments.
And for funsies, my Ryder:

About the only three powers thing... you can set a bunch of profiles as favorites. You can also save each favorite profile with different abilities. Those saved profiles popup on the wheel that you can popup in the middle of a fight (tab on a PC). Just like Alec Ryder does in that first big fight on Hab 7. Makes it nice and opens up how you can set up your Ryder. My Sara ran around as an "Explorer" for most of the game with a focus in biotics and sniper rifles. I did have a favorite profile that swapped out her abilities to more tech stuff to help on armored targets when her biotics felt weak. Don't forget the consumables. Unlike the other games, you can tie the consumables to the individual weapon. My Sara would put the electric ammo on my sniper rifle for more penetration against barriers but the fire ammo on my assault rifle to take down large armored targets. **Edit: maybe I was wrong about swapping out the profiles on the go... I started my ng+ and it's not there. I never did it before, I was fine just swapping out the ammo.
Oh Tom, you will get more options. ;) You are just not there yet.
I haven't played any multiplayer yet, but after reading this, I just might.
My sara's romance choice
Oh a quick edit to say my Sara "romanced" Reyes. That was a missed opportunity on Bioware's part.
I DONT HAVE TIME TO RESPOND TO PINGS because I'm about to go to class. BUT!! I fought an Architect a couple nights ago and I agree with y'all!! It was a lot of fun, even though I wasn't expecting it (My team was definitely not the best for it!). It was really satisfying to take down!!
The first Architect I fought killed me over an over. It was a good lesson to force me to dodge/evade. This sniper prefers to bunker down and blow up heads. Lol!!
Oh! I forgot to talk about squad mates! I like going out with Cora because of biotic combos. She's great at setting up and blowing them up. I like taking Peebee and Drack out together. They have interesting things to say to each other.
I also really enjoyed the references in Liam's loyalty mission. It really tickled me. C:
Edit: I read on some video game site that likened the Architect fights to the dragon fights in DAI and I agree, completely. c: The only difference is you don't have to tailor the fights to the individual dragon.
Now that I'm done, do I keep traveling around doing side missions or start a NG+ playthrough? Decisions are tough!
I've beaten them all now! Tbh it didn't take long for me because I have an OP weapon in my opinion. Plus I just lined up tech combos out the yin-yang. Each one probably took 15 minutes or so?
ESSSPACHEE
BUT OH MAN THE ONE ON VOELD WAS SO OBNOXIOUS FOR ME.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
trying to stay fucking warm was the worst otl

Ahh you're beginning a new playthrough? I have the tendency to work on a ton of side missions before continuing with the priority/main story SO I only have just finished both Voeld and Havarl over the weekend and re-visited Aya. That makes the game feel much longer than it probably is I assume lol.
And I just got the opportunity to continue with Liam's loyalty mission so I'll probably work on that here soon. I totally failed the part where I had to read his e-mail though?? I thought I did do that. Idk. But I'll be continuing with it soon.
The Architect on Voeld was the first one I fought. It probably would've been the one on Eos (I only know about it cause my fiance was playing as well and got into the fight) but my game glitched on me. Cora was permanently dead and whoever I traded her with spawned in dead as well. So I sort of just left the planet and did something else lol.
Voeld Architect
UGH. THE COLD. Usually when I got close to dying, it wasn't because of taking damage, it was because "CRAP I'M SO COLD." I almost totally blew it right at the end of the fight though. I got too cocky trying to finish the thing off and he nearly killed me. Idk how I did the fight on my first attempt truthfully lol.
Btw what weapon are you using? I keep researching and crafting weapons but haven't found one I really like.
I did the same thing, I went back to Eos after and killed that one.
I had kinda hoped we could interface and ride it or something.
"ONWARD VALIANT STEED, TO BATTLE."
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I was using the Inferno V, but I recently switched to the Valiant VI.
Sniper rifles all day son. My loadout is Charge, Nova, and Overload. So it's either pew pew from afar or EXPLOSIONS UP CLOSE. I also didn't take on the architects until I was around level 25 ish. I spent majority doing side quests and dicking around.

I didn't rush through, just had a few very exceptionally late nights. My finished playthrough is 90% complete. I love running around and figuring all the stuff out. I wanted to get to the end to know what happens, see more companion dialogue, and start my ng+ playthrough (those are always more fun).
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I'm also all about the sniper rifle and got lucky enough to find a Black Widow V from a fight. I hadn't spotted another one until after my playthrough and bought a Black Widow VII. It may have a smaller clip but it's super steady and powerful. I also carry a Valkyrie (assault rifle) as my run and gun choice.
OH MY GOSH, if you could ride one. I can just imagine it. Missed opportunity. Probably would've felt similar as to if you could ride a Thresher Maw in the trilogy, only this time you could fly and stuff.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Ahhh. That's my problem. I'm a less than average sniper bahaha. Truthfully I haven't tried out the sniper rifles yet on Andromeda so I need to give it a shot (no pun intended). I typically run Overload and Charge as well, and kind of trade out the third power for whatever I'm in the mood for.
Oh! I see. I'd totally be doing the same thing if I didn't have to wake up early in the morning lol. That's how I spend my Friday and Saturday nights last weekend and I imagine I'll be doing the same this weekend too.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I guess I really need to get into the sniper rifle game lol. I usually rock only an assault rifle and pistol because I like to have less weight on me to use my powers more frequently. I found a Black Widow IV--maybe it was a V but I doubt it--so I ought to give it a try. The angaran rifle looked cool, but I forget what it's called. Though I think it only had 1 clip? Or was the Black Widow the one with only 1 clip I forget. One had 1 and the other had 3, but I forget which had what.
I'm still getting up early in the morning, my week day starts at 6:30 am. I've been dragging for a week now. LOL! I think I'm surviving on coffee alone. Now that I'm through the main story, I'm less compelled to pull crazy hours and can catch back up on my sleep.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Black Window holds 3 rounds to a clip which can be modded to hold more. I think mine holds 5 rounds with 51 total rounds. That's the V, I haven't messed with the VII yet because you are only allowed the pistol to start. I'm carrying that sniper rifle, a Valkyrie assault rifle, and a grenade launching pistol and my weight is just at the cut off. I do use augments/mods to lighten my load where I can. Using a lower round per clip sniper rifle takes having a bruiser in your squad to help distract the mobs. I swap out to my assault rifle when I get swarmed. Have fun with it!
My loadout is the Talon V (don't ask why I love pistols because I do not know) and maybe an assault rifle for back-up; I've went to two pistols, recently, for 100% recharge speed on the powers and found it fine as I seem to spend most of my time in cover. I'm using Overload, Incinerate and the Assault Turret, but recently unlocked Peebee's surprise and have been investing in it, so might swap out my turret and give it a go.
Oh gosh I'd be miserable if I stayed up all night and then woke up at 6:30 in the morning bahaha. About the time I get up for the day as well. I know what you mean though. I'm not sure if I'd be anxious to stay up all night just to play side missions.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Goodness, I was on Voeld for like 6 hours because I insisted on finishing all side missions before continuing to the vault. I was becoming miserable at that point lol I was like 'I don't even like the snow irl what am I doing.'
I'll give sniping a chance tonight! See if it goes well or poorly lol. I like a couple of my assault rifles but they only do around 100 damage give or take and I feel like it's taking me an entire clip to kill off a Chosen with that low of damage haha. I need to start getting into the higher ranked weapons as well. I definitely have the tendency to use mods to help with weight as well!
I enjoy pistols as well! I'm partial to the Carnifex myself.
It was rough!! Now I'm getting more normal sleep and life is already rosier. c:
SPOILER (click to toggle)
I love hunting down all the side missions too. I loved playing on Voeld because I had fun driving on the ice. Keep in mind you can always come back to a planet later. It's not like ME3 where parts of the galaxy will be shut off from you. It's more like DAI (if you played it). If you are planning on a new game plus, don't burn yourself out. c:
With a good sniper rifle, it should only take one headshot on a Chosen. My Black Widow V SR does 712 damage and it's very stable however it's an ultra rare that must be found or bought. Before I had it, I was using the Vanquisher I believe. I do plan on playing with the ones recommended too. Since you are new to sniper rifles, I would avoid any that do multi-shot bursts. I was using one early in my first playthrough that had a three shot burst and it pulled up really bad. Let the mobs focus on your squad mates and pick them off as they pop up out of cover. I loved Cora for this because she is melee and really pulls attention, as well as the biotic combo I could do off her setup. Drack pulls aggro really well too. If your assault rifle is only doing around 100, look for something better. The Valkyrie VII does 188 and it's researchable. I no longer have my Valkyrie V so I can't get that number for you.
Tali and I crafted my pistol to lob grenades and it's a blast. LOL! I rarely use it though because I tend to play farther ranged than where it's effective.
Okay first off that pistol sounds like a FREAKING BLAST. I didn't even know that could be a thing. I MUST try that out! I tend to play more mid-range, not necessarily far or close.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Okay I agree, I enjoyed riding on the ice and sliding around as well haha. And I know that I could've left the planet and come back at a later time buuuut I'm difficult and like to try to complete a planet as much as I can before moving on, and returning if I happen to get a side mission to go back later. I really should think of my sanity BUT nah, why would I do that. And I haven't played DAI but I've been told over and over I need to play the DAs! I've been too invested in other games to give it a try lol. I do plan on playing a NG+, idk if it'll be immediately after I finish this playthrough or not though. I'm being as thorough as I can but I'm sure I'll miss stuff. I played the trilogy several times but never got burned out lol.
I didn't do too shabby with the Black Widow when I used it last night! I had looted it. I couldn't remember what rank it was, but 712 damage does sound about right. I remember it being within the 700-range anyway. I'm not exactly new to snipers, I just have the tendency to use assault rifles and pistols more often lol. I keep thinking of when I fail with snipers on multiplayer games like CoD and that's just completely different trying to snipe another player vs. an AI lol. I did purchase a much better Falcon assault rifle that does better damage by far. I thought I remembered disliking it in ME3 but I like it more in Andromeda, at least for campaign. Also, Drack is just a fun squadmate to have with you in general ahaha.
I've been sinking all of my free time into playing ME:A or watching play. And I'm in love with the game. And just about all of the characters. <3 Currently romancing Jaal with Caelia and Gil with Calidore. Next playthrough I'm romancing Vetra (who I actually meant to romance with Cae... Until Jaal decided to exist).
Also. I love the remnant weapons.
I'm hoping they add more to the character creator. I've heard rumors that they're planning on it, and rumors of a Black Emporium type thing getting added? Which would be amazing.
Shepard and I are playing on his PS4, though I'm buying the game on my PC when it goes on sale (after I make sure I can run it).
Guys I'm so embarassed but I'm going to share my story anyway.
I've mentioned a couple times how I've only played ~25ish hours and was thinking 'How is that possible? Surely I've played more than that.'
I have. I WAS READING THE TIME, NOT HOURS PLAYED. I noticed yesterday when I was playing again, my last save was around 22:00 and I finally realized "Ohhhh that's the time I last saved" facepalm I've actually played around 40 hours or so bahaha.
