Drew had a bit of concern in his eyes at the thud, but as soon as Magnus laughed, Drew grinned as well, knowing his friend was fine. The cuff in the head proved it and as Drew rubbed his head lightly. He stuck his tongue out as well at the use of Andrew and said, "Nope, I might agree to Dashing Drew or something on those lines. Andrew is not a recognized trademark however and thus can not be used." He gave his friend a cheeky grin and then noticed Niall's expression. "Don't worry, champ. I would never do anything to really hurt Mags or any of my friends. Promise."

"Hmph, more like Dungbeetle DrewBreath. Now Wandering Werewolf could be another drink name... I could 'ave me own line." He snickered. "Its okay, Niall, I'm fine, Drew's just being a twerp. I'll get 'im back. Get some itching powder in 'is knickers or something." Magnus' eyes twinkled with mischief.

Niall nodded but had no idea what to say and shrunk back into his proverbial shell.

"Your own line?" Drew snorted. "Who'd actually make them? Gaia turned down your first idea," he said as he took a swallow out of a frozen drink. "And how are you planning to get to my room to put in the itching powder, my dear 'claw?" he teased without any malice. "Snakes are very protective of their knickers, you know." He loved bantering with his new friends, but he was afraid that they were not helping the situation with Niall and he didn't want to scare the boy. "Is there a joke shop in Hogsmeade like in Diagon Alley?" he asked, pulling out his map. "I know I want to go to the bookstore and to find the puffs, but where else is good, Mags? What would you recommend for me and Niall?"

"No, she said to speak to one of the twins. 'Sides if they say no, I can try to learn. I mean I'm good at potions. "Pft, I know for a fact if I wanted to get into it I could. There are other snakes willin' to 'elp after all. And if that don't work I do 'ave a ouse elf." He stuck out his tongue. "Yeah there's Zonkos. There's also, Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop which 'as some lovely quills, and of course Tomes and Scrolls... There's others not listed 'ere o' course. Do you 'ave any 'obbies?" He was asking both of them though he knew Drew liked to write.

Niall looked at Magnus and then to Drew. Hobbies? "Reading, rescuing animals..." He wasn't really sure the later counted. "I-I had a few things I wanted to try..." he said shyly.

"Darn it, I forget about house elves still," Drew said. "And I'm getting better at potions...I think. It's pretty fun." He listened as Magnus named some of the other places and nodded. "Okay I'll be checking out the quill shop for sure." At the question about hobbies, Drew paused and when Niall answered, he smiled. "those are both good...and things that I like too," he said. "What sort of other things do you want to try?" he asked curiously.

"Your error makes me pranking a lot easier," he said with a smirk. "I love the quill shop. Actually I love a lot o' the shops." He looked at Niall, "yeah what would you like to try?"

"Well... I've kinda thought of taking pictures... and learning to play an instrument. And maybe..." he dropped his voice very low as he turned redder, "dancing."

"Taking pictures would be fun," Drew said. "Especially wizarding pictures that move. Do you have to have a special film for that or is it just like a spell? I like music but I have no clue how to play any instruments other than Mary had a little lamb and Twinkle twinkle little star on the piano. I used to play around on the one that one of our neighbors had back in the States." He regarded Niall with thoughtful eyes. "What sort of dancing?" Drew asked. "Like the classic stuff like waltzes? Or ballet?" Then the boy recalled something. "Didn't someone mention theatre earlier?"

"There's a spell you can do on muggle film to make it move. Not sure about wizarding ones cos I've never 'ad one. There's a music shop 'ere," Magnus added. "Is there an instrument you'd fancy? Me dad plays the ocarina."

"I don't know," Niall said, "I've never had a camera around." He shrugged like it was no big deal. "I like the violin." He was going so red. "Ballet..." Because it looks fun, you can practice on your own and catch girls in your arms, but of course he couldn't say the rest of it out loud.

"You know there's nothing wrong with boys dancing the ballet," Magnus said, "I know for a fact some football players do ballet. Yes, Kyros mentioned it, I think it'd be good for Niall too."

Drew was impressed with the things being said. He was still in the process of learning more and more about the wizarding world. The fact that Mags' dad played an ocarina was cool and he said so. "That's cool, Mags. And Niall, I think the violin sounds amazing. It can be so soft and soothing or fast and fun depending on the tempo and how you play it. And ballet is a lot more strenuous than most people think so don't let anyone try to make fun of you for wanting to try it. I sure couldn't do it! The most I've even done is waltzes but I like that. It's kinda slow but like swinging almost...going around and through the patterns with the candles flickering." Drew stopped and blushed a bit before smiling and nodding at the comment about the theatre. "Theatre is awesome!" he said. "Me, Mum, and Dad all used to be involved in the community one back in Virginia. Bridget was too little so she and my dad's parents would come and see the productions and cheer us on. It was great fun. You get to dress up and pretend to be someone else for a while. Making stories come to life like that is an amazing thing. I wonder if anyone will ever do a play based on anything I might write?" he mused.

"Yeah Dad plays really well," Magnus replied with a grin.

"What is theatre?" the Irish boy asked. He nodded at Drew's assertion of the violin and ballet. Drew explained more or less what the theatre was. It sounded interesting. "Sounds neat. Ya write?" he asked, "what kind of things?"

"Why wouldn't they?" Magnus asked, "You know there's classes you can take for writing at the centre Mum signs me up for art. Maybe you could take a class whilst visiting? I think there might be theatre classes too...maybe we all could take a class?"

Once Rosie had filled the parchment with doodles of the food set before her, more flowers and some organic shapes she put her self-inking quill down and blew softly on the sheet. She waited for it to dry properly before rolling it up and placing her supplies in their compartment in her bag. Her sweet coffee concoction had cooled somewhat so she gulped it down and excused herself. She quickly went to the restroom to fix her bun and pee. She stared at her skin in the mirror while washing her hands and scowled at the pimple right next her nose. Feeling refreshed she returned to the table smiling and nodding along to the conversation. She praised the selection of food and drinks to the twins both. Soon they would start the tour so Rosie decided not to eat more of the various tapas and instead make sure she was prepared. She checked her wallet and counted 1 galleon, 4 sickles and 12 knuts. That would be more than enough and she would have plenty to by Niall a birthday treat at Honeydukes. Maybe she'd buy some treats for other people at the tour. Rosie hummed a tune and tapped the rhythm with her fingers.

"Yeah, I write a little," Drew said with a slight blush. "Mostly it's just short stuff...stories that get stuck in my head at weird times. I usually keep a small notebook or at least some paper in my bag along with a pencil in case I get an idea. But a lot of them seem to come at night right before I drift off to sleep...almost like dreams but not quite." He shrugged feeling a bit weird. It was hard to explain the way some of his ideas came to him as he was lying in bed quiet and just thinking about the day or even letting his mind wander and try to settle for the night. "I guess it's just sorta natural for me cause Mum and Dad are both avid readers and writers. They always read to me and Bridget when we were little. And even though Mum's is more non-fiction and scholarly writing than Dad's, they've both encouraged my stories from the first time I wrote this silly thing about a fat cat when I was five." He blushed and shook his head thinking of the childish, rhyming little story he'd written with short simple words. Then looking at Magnus he smiled and said, "I could have used your skills with art though. When I tried to draw pictures to go with that story my cat was fat for sure...it looked like a blob with big triangle ears, a long twisty tail, and four sticks for legs." He grinned.

Hearing about the classes that were offered, Drew's eyes lit up. "Oh that would be fantastic, Mags!! Do you really think I could? I'd have to get Mum and Dad's okay but I'm sure they would say yes." He went on in an excited voice, "That would be so awesome if you and me and Niall could all take classes together!! And we have to bring Merls () too. Hey! We could all do theatre and enact a scene from the Three Musketeers!" He grinned happily.

Niall glanced over at Rosie's doodling. He thought the flowers were pretty. He wasn't sure if she caught him looking, but he turned red anyway and suddenly wondered what she thought of his reading glasses? Which also meant he started fiddling with them, not realising he was drawing more attention to the fact he had them on. "That's neat," he said to Drew. He'd never really given much thought to writing and wondered if he'd be any good.

"Could try to teach you some drawing if you want... there's several people 'ere that know." His eyes flicked to Rosie and he smiled. "Their classes are great, I really enjoy them. It'd be a lot of fun if we could all take one or two. I took an art class with Paul when I was gone."

Niall's eyebrow raised. Would they really want him around during their holidays? They barely knew him. Would he be allowed to go? He glanced back to his book not sure how to reply

Drew smiled at the girl at their table as she returned and began to hum. He hadn't met her yet, but apparently she was another artist/musician. It was great that so many people had such talent!

He saw the looks both the other boys gave the girl and the way Niall was adjusting his glasses...when they didn't really need to be. Smiling, he leaned closer to Niall and whispered, "Do you know her?"

Niall looked solidly at his book. "Rosie," he said, giving Drew her name and likely inadvertently talking to her. "Met her third." And apparently his speech was now diverting to sounding more like a cavemen. Thog hungry, Thog want eat. Niall shook his head at his inner monologue and facepalmed himself. He also glanced back at Rosie and her cute lip ring, turning furiously red.

Drew's eyes twinkled at Niall's comments. He was tempted to ask what number he was in Niall's meeting lineup, but he didn't. One quick glance over at Lena had him shutting up. He could well understand being awkward around girls...at least those close to his age. Sisters and cousins totally didn't count. Instead of teasing, he nodded and said, "Rosie is a pretty name. Kinda reminds me of my cousin whose name is Flora. Flowers and all, you know. Wonder if that's why she's good at drawing flowers."

Settling back in his chair, Drew enjoyed a bit more of the frozen drink he'd chosen.

Merlin was just listening to the conversation, his eyes were closing suddenly and he wondered what he have been drinking all this time. "I like the idea of theater, I can play the silliest character because I am silly and Niall can play the hero, Drew the villain and Magnus the sidekick. Yes that's how it will go. How come no one asked me my hobbies? I know they might be boring to some but they are great for me. I like to bake cookies and cakes, I like to explore the forests, discover species and look after them, learning about plants, i collect stones and make talismans, and I love reading and doing potions." He grins. "I have never tried dancing, cept on the Christmas benefit concert Slytherin helped out, I suddenly went crazy and started dancing to the band's music. I am sure I was mostly jumping." He laughs. "What do you like to do Rosie?" He rubbed his eyes. "I'm so sleepy, I think this drink has sleeping drought or something."

Rosie raised her head at the mention of her name. She immediately noticed Niall's glasses. "Those are nice" she pointed to them. She briefly glanced around the room then turned more towards the boys. "What sort of candy do you like?" she asked Niall thinking about the myriad of sweets at Honeydukes. Should she get him so chocolate frogs or a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans would do nicely. Maybe just get him a full package with some of everything.

"Thanks... Drew right? It's short for Rosalyn. It means beautiful rose" she answered Drew. Rosie chuckled to Merlin's story. "I play the violin most of the time. My mum taught me ballet too so I've done that since I could walk. I like all sorts of muggle art but I find myself drawn to music especially."
