No, I don't think you would get in trouble for that--especially if you didn't specify any batch limits

You can absolutely have "1 batch" of 5/slots and that be it (but the system will FORCE it to be 10 slots, therefore, "2 batches") and you could never slot those or you could put them in your shop.

If you specified "5 slots only", then you could get in trouble for having 5 more (from the forced "2nd batch") in your shop, from my understanding.

Increments of 15, 25, etc. dont work right now. Just in case you were planning to make anything 15 copies (3 batches) you wont be able to right now. I wanted to make sure you were aware so you don't get reported if you promise an item will be 15 copies or something with an increment of 5.

Even since the change I've mostly submitted things as tba, since I've been trying to get accustomed with the new system, but I think I tried once setting a batch in the submission page at a 15 and it automatically in the system just bumps it up to the next closest 0 number which was 20. But it's still good to be aware about this. Thanks for the psa. :)

You can absolutely specify 5, 15, 25, etc. in your releases, you just have to abide by them and not sell 10, 20, 30, etc. respectively.

It's the same as us saying "1 batch, or DTS if unable to fill". We have to only sell the specified amounts in the batch, and now allow for unlimited, if the item goes DTS.

This is how it's conveyed to me by the staff member (see post 3).

Ahh ok. Thank you. I was getting a little confused. I don't release much, i usually DTS my items but in case i do ever take slots for items i need to make sure i understand what I'm doing. ^_^

The whole thing is pretty daunting, and like [user=Varsna} said, we're all conditioned to panic about batch limits and scamming reports, so the fact that you took the over-precaution is probably a good thing!

Thx for the clarification! That does help me a lot. I have gotten in trouble for stating a batch limit and then selling an extra amount after because I misunderstood some of the rules. I def don't want to do that again by accident or anything else! So thanks for getting it all straightened out. =D

It's already been mentioned, but as has been said, this isn't a "glitch" -- we have to keep things in multiples of ten for everything to continue to work.

It was super confusing to me too. Technically, a batch is still 10 copies. You just submit half at a time now. So when you're setting a batch limit or copy limit, you can't do anything that ends in 5 - you have to announce and submit with multiples of 10 only. I'm not sure if this is more clear or not haha, tell me if not.

I think you still can't announce only 15 copies either. You'd have to say "20 copies but only slotting/selling 15 at this time" because technically it falls under the purview of scamming to say 15 and submit with 20 slots, even if you only ever sell 15. It's the same as saying 1 batch and then submitting 2. So everything is defaulted to '2 batches' now because each batch is technically 5 slots but you can't submit less than 10 copies to the site.

I think most of us misunderstood what was being said there, it was worded a little oddly but yeah, I do see that it says that on the submission page as well (I swear I read it 5 times and missed it every time). Bolding would probably help because clearly a lot of us are a little derpy haha. Thanks for seeing if someone can bold that for us!

Also, I just wanted to clarify, we need to advertise our batches in multiples of 10 as well correct? Like we can't say "15 copies" since there's no way to submit only 15 and we'd have to submit 20 to achieve that? I assume that's correct but I figured I'd ask to be sure.

Let's say I have an item I want to put on site. I have 6 people interested. I batch for five. Can the next five go to my shop and I send out invites. After the 5 have been sold in my shop, no more can be generated. That's okay right??

The way you're wording this makes it seem like you're being forced to release a certain number, but nobody HAS to release multiples of ten. You don't have to release 20. You can release 5, 15, etc, but you cannot submit batch limits of those. But you also can't release those final 5. The wording you're using is like... As if you're trying to say since I put something in unlimited, I HAVE to put it in my shop and let anyone buy them, instead of locking it up. Basically, you can do this: I'm only selling 15 slots on Pink Perfect Booty Butt Shorts ! 20 slots limit submitted 5 left unsold

The only time you HAVE to be like "only 20 of these !" is if you want to sell every copy. It's still up to you.

I rather enjoy being able to only slot on 5 now because it means that doing a private item got a whole lot cheaper and doable!

Exactly. You can only sell 5 or 15, but you have to honestly state that there will be 10 or 20 as the limit.

I'll fix the wording, because I don't mean it that way and I know in one of my posts I put that you can say the limit is 20 but you're only filling 15. You still can't say "only 15 copies" though because that's the same as saying "only one batch" and then submitting direct to shop - even if you never sell more than 9 total copies (plus the free copy you received), it's still misleading, from my understanding of how that was explained to us when we discovered the DTS issue.

YOU MUST BE CLEARER JENN, I mean, this whole board is made because people didn't understand ;) Yeah, I shouldn't have put "only" in that portion, cause it can be misconstrued. Damnit, gotta make sure I am more clear myself ! Words are hard.

ALL THE CLEAR :P But yeah, I added a note to clarify that they don't have to fulfill all copies, but they can't misstate that there will be only 15/25/etc, but they can absolutely say 4 batches/20 copies - only filling 15 slots.
