Oh man, this version of the site has been around for roughly 12 1/2 years, but before that, it was up for... about a year or two? and it wasn't a .net address at that time. There were some issues that I do not remember and it shut down with the promise of being back up at some point. I feel like it was down over a year before it came back, because I would check the temporary forums waiting to get my user name and pets again [sub](I did not then, but managed to a decade later)[/sub] and eventually gave up. Then, some random day in december, while I was doing other site's winter holiday stuff, I happened to think about subeta and here it was! So, the concept of the site subeta has been around for more like... 14~15 years? Crazy!

I love seeing all these older avatars. It's great! I am going to contribute more. Here's the oldest version of my current avatar I've got saved (not that anyone cares about that but me!) And some of the costume ones that I've got stored, though some are newer than that old, but I don't remember. haha. Hot dang this is a fabulous thread. I was on subeta in my teens and left for probably 7 years, and returned a little over a year ago.
I remember when the legendary weapons came out--everyone was wearing them, especially ! And one item I desperately wanted was (which I saw mentioned but I wanted to re-mention). People wore that shit all the time and I was like dang you look cooooool.

And fire-and-ice HAs were all the rage at one point.

The male version of has zero red on it. It's just really plain blue for some unknowable reason. :/ And, I think that the "Loish" in the name was the artist this line was... inspired from.

Loish is a professional artist that has been active for years on DA. Anyway, the artist who did that particular set was a big admirer of Loish artwork, ended up getting permission from her to make the set and thus, the Loish set was born. It was a big deal at the time because a lot of people knew Loish from Deviantart and I think there was a big deal where some assumed it was plagiarized. The artist had gotten permission from her to make the line.

Anyway, Loish is still active on Deviantart; she did some concept art recently for the video game Horizon: Zero Dawn.
