Magnus was so happy to see Tamsin back to her normal self and he gave her a hug. "I just ope you don't mind three year old twins, cos I'm sure you'll getta play with Paul's girls." His smile looked about to break off his face. And then Merlin was young again and the boy felt so much better. Paul was merely sleeping so really everything was okay again.
Then Merlin fell and Magnus snickered. "I told you Drew, aurors are wicked cool."
"And you were right...this time," Drew grinned impishly and nudged Magnus playfully. Then it registered with him about Paul's family. "Three year old girls? Why does everyone seem to have girls?" he wondered.
"I'm always right," he said sticking his tongue out. "Well, its kind of a 50/50 odds there. But they are dead sweet little things. Mind you they give you a run for your money. Love playing princess. Merlin, they'd love you! Dad always gets to play the dragon. You could do that."
Tamsin opened her eyes, and said: "Twin! Haha now that must be something troublesome." She smiled after Magnus hugged her and grins at Drew's attempt to act cool. "A tiny bit that you like me is more than most, so that is great."
Merlin got up and hugged her too. "I love you Tam."
She was severely blushing since she was definitely not used to so much affection. "Hum, thanks Merlin...you are like a little brother to me. I have no brothers or sisters so I officially adopted you as my brother."
He smirks. "Really? I don't have brothers or sisters either and I always wanted to be spoiled by a big brother but since I now have a big sis..you must spoil me and get me rare stuff for my potion practices, you aurors get a hold of lots of weird stuff."
"Don't push your luck!" She shook her head but was still smiling. "Oh look, fireflies... I love how they look in the darkness."
"Hopefully just fireflies...there are some glowing mosquitoes here that bite really hard, it hurts for a hole week."
"Experience huh?" He nods and Tamsin wondered how many times he have come to the forest to know so much. "How often do you come here Merls?"
"You know... I live in the woods so I miss them, I try to come daily but homework won't permit it." He looks at Magnus. "Do you come often too? How come I never cross your path? Or have you avoided me?"
[Edit] ((After last post))
Merlin blinks a few times when Mag said they will love him because they liked playing princess, then understood when he meant for him to play dragon. He laughed. "I was about to complain, I thought you meant I was like a princess!" He laughed hard.
"Well I guess you're right on the 50/50 thing," Drew said to Magnus. "Just seems like in my family it's mostly girls." Hearing about Paul's girls playing princess, he smiled and said, "So what part do you play, Mags?"
Drew smiled to hear that Merlin and Tamsin were going to be like family now. He watched the fireflies and then looked over at Merlin at his comment about the glowing mosquitoes. "Is there a way you can tell which is which before you get bitten?" he asked.
"Yeah, fraternal twins. What's even funnier is one looks like Paul, one looks more like 'is wife but they act opposite." Magnus laughed, "Well, Merlin, there's nothing wrong with playing princess. I 'ave several times as has Paul. Tamsin could be a Queen." He didn't like the idea of those bugs if they weren't fireflies. "Er, do you look up in the trees? I come 'ere about once a week or so. I've been looking for a safe alcove to 'ang around in. But we can go together now...er... if you want."
Merlin laughed at the question from Drew. "Well, if they start getting close, they are not fireflies, so far they are away so I guess they are. The glowing mosquitoes follow you, kinda like when you bother...BEES!" He laughed, just the thought of bees gave him a headache. Then he turns to mag. "I know there is nothing wrong with playing with them, but I thought you said I look like a girl...because some say so and it bothers me." He quickly changed his train of thoughts. "We can go together once a week if you want, but I can't run as fast or get on trees as fast as you. If you have patience with me and my constant tripping." He giggles. "I hope Arrow won't nag me about leaving anymore."
Tamsin laughed. "Me, a queen? I probably better play the evil queen then." She cackles and adds. "I don't mind playing the evil one of the story."
"Mosquitoes...at least the non-glowing kind...are easier to swat than bees so I'll leave the bees to you, Merls," Drew offered with a smile.
Looking over at Tamsin at her cackle, he nodded. "You've got the laugh already," he said with a smile to show he wasn't saying it to be mean. "Hmm...what does that leave for me? The knight in shining armor? Or maybe the noble steed?" he grinned.
Drew listened to Merlin and Magnus plan more trips to the forest and said, "I wouldn't mind coming in here again."
Merlin's joke about bees sounded a lot like Paul to him. "Oh, no, I don't think you look like a girl." Then he laughed, "I'm fine with you tripping, I 'ave me potions with me. I'm surprised if Arrow knew I was sneaking in 'ere that 'e 'adn't talked to me. Though...." he sighed, "I'm not too sure if I can sneak in. Especially if Paul finds out. Don't think 'e'd be keen on me running amok in 'ere," he sighed and looked sad, but tried to sound happy adding, "I think the girls would love that, Tams. Court Jester, Drew."
((OOC: Last post of the night. I'm going to sleep! xx))
No problem if they are mosquitoes, I learn a spell to keep them away...well I still haven't really try it." He stick out his tongue.
"I know right? My laugh is the creepiest!" She laughed again. "I think you can be the knight in shinning armor- if that's what I think it is! The hero, right?"
Merlin was surprised Drew wanted to return when he didn't wanted to come in the first place. "Well, we need an extra disguise for you then..in order to get out of the castle without being caught." [Edit] ((For Rave's post))
"Thanks Mag, I actually trim my hair because of that, it used to be longer if you remember." He smiles. "I have my potions too, so we can share. Mom makes sure to send me dittany every month- she grows the plant back at home." Merlin was surprised about him not meeting any centaurs. "I've met Arrow before, and other centaurs..they always ask me to leave."
((sleep well, Merls!))
"Court Jester?" Drew asked. "Me? I'm not the funny one. I am clearly the dashing hero!" he said, striking a pose as though he had a sword. "Dodger can be the jester. Bridget has dressed him up before...for about five minutes before he tore the costume getting out of it," he laughed.
"yep, the knight in shining armor is the hero, Tam," he said to the auror with a smile. "And yay...one vote for me being the hero!"
Nodding, Drew said, "I'll work on a disguise." ((ooc lol actually Drew loves the woods and was eager to go for a walk...when he thought it was only going to be a walk to look at animals and such))
(nightnight Merls.)
"Your laugh is awesome." Disguise? Hmm.. he didn't actually use one. He'd have to see what other tactics Merlin employed. "I think if you like it long, wear it long. Mine was shorter till that charms accident. Totally kept it. Paul or Dad bring dittany with them for the moon cycle, as well as me other potions." He wondered why they hadn't asked him to leave.
"Well, I guess you could be a knight, if they let you. Sometimes you don't get a choice."
Drew nodded. "The princesses word is law, I imagine. How often do you visit them?" he asked curiously.
"Indeed," he said with a smile. "Oh they are over at our house or we are over at there's at leave 3 times a week. Dad and Paul are more like brothers than best mates, so our families are together a lot."
((ooc bedtime for me. Night night!))
"Wow...that's a lot, but that's also cool," Drew said with a smile. "I didn't know that we would get the chance to go home as often as we do here. Things must have changed since Mum was here, because she told me that she'd see me at the term break. But even the term isn't as long as in her stories."
(night!)
"Is it? Guess it just seems normal ta me." He nodded, "I'm glad though cos i'd 'ate to only see them all a few times a year."
"I could do with seeing Bridget less," Drew said, but his smile told the younger boy he wasn't truly serious in his comment about his little sister. "but yeah, it's nice. There's some things about being here that are different from what I had always imagined but overall it is amazing. Still so many places I want to explore. I guess I really need to get caught up on my assignments first though. Mum has always been big on work first and then play. It just seems like that was easier to do at home than at Hogwarts where things are tempting me." He grinned.
"Well," Magnus twitched a smile, "sisters are the exception. You know, I didn't really know what to expect. I read about 'Ogwarts in Saint Mungos, but being 'ere is different than the books. What 'aven't you explored?"
