Drew sat quietly on the grass and studied Paul for a long moment, his respect and liking of the man growing by the minute. "You're you...same as I'm me and Mags is Mags. To thine own self be true," he said at last. "I suppose in a way I'm the same mix you are. Born in America but Mum is Scottish and now we live on the border so I'm kinda British as well." He paused and then asked, "Did you ever know the McGovern clan?"

(assuming clans are muggle? not sure lol )

(hmm...not sure. I was thinking that Drew's mum was pureblood. I know his grandfather was a wizard. Part of the backstory I have in mind is that his great great grandmother was a powerful druid)

"Exactly." He nodded not sure what to say. "No, I'm sorry. I don't really know many clans. My parents were content in their own pureblood statuses. Mother was particularly bad. She loved to throw around the famous family names..."

Lee had been quiet the rest of the trip. He had listened to Millie and Emmett brag about saving Magnus and people reciting poetry and all of that. He was just tired..tired of it all.

"Yeah Millie and Emmett, I was thrilled you 'saved' him before anyone else could do anything..you both started him on fire."

He waked over and showed Paul the picture of Magnus burning.

"Bet you will make a fine auror one day, Emmett, with that quick thinking, and Millie, be sure that when you jump into the fray to save someone, you don't cause more damage than is already happening."

"and you, Paul...you ...I don't even know what to say..." he shook his head.

He snorted, and walked away. He returned to Charlotte and said quietly "F this noise...I'm going back, you want to come..? I can't deal with all the..issues..people have anymore, I have enough of my own. I wanna go and bake. I need to get out of here."

Paul looked at the photo and his lips thinned. That detail didn't make him happy at all. "You burned him out?!" he asked. "You could have killed him rescuing him!" He was trying his best to keep calm. He hadn't known that they had set the fire.

Outfit Not Found

Charlotte had been walking next to Ned holding his hand. She was tired. She listened to all the talking of her classmates and just blinked. She had tried her best in many different ways to help them, be their friends...she didnt know what the hell to do anymore.

Then with Paul...the whole situation confused her. She felt more wary of people then she had started with. She shook her head to clear the thoughts away, just as Lee/Ned had begun to speak. She listened and when he came up to her, she took his hand. "I think Id like a cup of tea..." she said almost in a whisper. She gave a small smile to Merlin and Tamsin and left with Ned/Lee. She just didnt get it and she just wanted to go back to the safety of the castle.

A final fleeting thought was, 'While it was her choice to fight for her classmates...no one had even bothered to come and see if they needed healing..or were ok mentally. It wasnt that she expected any special attention...it was more she felt very expendable at that moment'

Lee walked a little way away with Charlotte, then cast "draconifors" (turns target into a dragon) on himself, and waited for Charlotte to climb aboard. Once she did, and cast the "disillusionment charm"(causes target to blend into environment) on them, he took to the air. He got his bearings from the glow of the castle lights in the darkening sky, and took them home.

Emmett and Millie's face flashed with rage. "At least we did something. The auror was off trying to find flowers and that stupid git Lee was busy taking pictures of Magnus while he was being smothered. And that little girl was busy hiding in trees and trying to steal Emmett's broom, which he summoned to help Magnus. I never claimed we were perfect but at least we did something. I guess the next time some Devil's Snare tries to strangle someone, I'll leave it to the professionals."

Emmett added, "Und I summoned my broom and offered to get Magnus out und to zee medical wing und he said no. So don't blame us. Now I understand vhy Millie prefers hiding in zee library und common over being social. I'm sorry I dragged you into zis vorkshop Millie. Now I understand vhy zis so difficult for you."

Emmett reached into his coat pocket and pulled out the piece of parchment from his pocket. "Zanks but I'll do my own research." And he handed Paul's information back to him.

"Let's go Millie". He grabbed his broom and climbed onto it and Millie did the same and the two flew off back towards the castle

Drew was startled as Lee started his accusations against Millie and Emmett. The words were so hurtful in Drew's opinion. And then when Lee made a comment about Paul...Drew's temper rose a bit, but he forced it back. Instead he stayed quiet, biting his lip and pulling his knees up to wrap his arms around them. He watched silently as the group dissolved...Lee and Charlotte leaving first and then an upset Millie and Emmett. It would be so easy to call a thestral and take off as well. He looked over at Magnus, Paul, Merlin, and Tamsin and realized that he wouldn't do it. He wouldn't leave his friends. Paul and Merlin were neither in good shape and besides they still planned to look for more flowers for Tamsin on the way back. Nope, Drew decided, he was sticking with it to the end...even if it wasn't pretty.

Paul tried to stand but he didn't get very far before he collapsed. He'd been fighting the potion effects for awhile now but there was no denying they were happening. He was so worn out that the moment he closed his eyes to breathe deeply he was out cold, falling the short distance to the ground.

Magnus had no idea what to think or feel and stood frozen in shock.

((OOC: I would like to thanks those who participated on the workshop and apologize for being such a bad mod that couldn't make the group follow simple rules. I apologize to those that didn't feel welcome and felt hurt in any way. I will try to finish this with those who will stay in peace otherwise I would just end the whole thing and get over with the drama. I don't want to hear any more arguments, so stop.))

Tamsin woke up when she heard the students leaving on their own and sighs. "This teaches me never to try babysit again. And hey Emilly, Emmet, I think you did great and were brave enough to handle the situation, even if an accident happened- I caused more accidents than anyone and Magnus is just fine. Whoever is still with me, let's go back to the castle."

Paul then collapsed and she went to check on him. Luckily, he was just asleep. "Would he be alright?" Merlin asked concerned, who had also woken up.

"Yes, it's the potion's reaction. I'll take him to the hospital wing when we arrive so he can rest, for now you and him are a balloon. Take your things, we are going back immediately."

Seeing Paul collapse was difficult but expected. Magnus was frowning and then sighed and nodded, getting his things together. "How you feeling Merlin?" he asked.

Merlin was pleased to know they were going back and could rest his old bones in a bed. "I'm alright, hanging on. I've been better but thanks for asking."

The students left their 'safe heaven' and begin their return to the castle. "It shouldn't take hat long, right Merlin?"

"Only if we encounter any more unfriendly creatures we can be delayed." He was floating next to Paul in their very own balloon.

"Hopefully the flower will wear off soon," he said giving a week smile. He looked at the balloon people and thought it looked like a nice way to travel.

Seeing Paul collaspe, Drew opened his mouth to yell for Tamsin, but the other auror was already awake and taking care of things.

Drew sighed and gathered his things as Tamsin had said. With Dodger at his side, he joined his friends. He moved close to Magnus and draped an arm around his friend's shoulder. "You okay?" he asked quietly, knowing that they were both concerned about Paul and Merlin.

"Yeah," Magnus said in his normal voice, "I'm okay. 'Ow about you?"

Drew sighed and gave a shrug. "Physically I'm fine," he said.

"Yeah i know what you mean. Still," he said with a pause, "keep looking for flowers. Maybe we can find some more for Tamsin."

Drew nodded. He was way past being hesitant of the flowers or Tamsin by now. They had been through a lot together in a short time and the boy planned to try to make things better in any little way he could. Suddenly he remembered something. "Hey, Mags...I never did get the chance to tell you the secret plan that I had earlier. Remember the drawing you did for me of the unicorns? Well..." he leaned closer and said quietly, hoping that Tamsin wouldn't overhear, "I was going to give the extra copy I asked you for to Tamsin...for her mum, since she said she wished her mum could see them."
