I have too many green units I'm building rn, Camilla, Fae, Titania, and I've already got +10 Nino. I should pick one of my colourless guys to build up. Rebecca, Gaius, or Matthew... and I need a new blue unit to build up now that Nowi's done. Maybe I'll finally promote either Mae or Taillte, or I should pick a lance unit for some more physical attackers, like Effie or Mathilda (copy Jessi lol) Trying to think of an easily summonable blue unit that I actually like... no one really comes to mind. Florina or Cordellia maybe.

I don't really want to look 5* in the mouth, but I just can't get excited about Mist (I also really don't like her art) She looks like she is neutral stats so that's something at least. I just can't see building her.

I saw on reddit that there are certain skills that boost arena scores (like, Distant Counter and Close Counter are the best A slot skills and specials should be Galeforce or Aether for example) but the arena is mostly a mystery to me. (I still can't figure out how defence teams work ^^;)

I pulled a 5* Libra (-att) on the brave banner after getting another large pity rate... Dude I loved you in Awakening but that's enough summoning for now. I've started merging my Nino horde (she's currently +5) and Cordelia is currently +4. When I look through my roster I still have a lot of training to do as well and I have a fair(ish) amount of fodder to build some units.

Just have to stay strong through the Legendary banner now :x I wonder if it will be Hrid, or if they'll give us someone like Marth (given the CYL theme of this latest banner).

The only consolation is that everyone knows she's the worst pity breaker so IS has to do something with her eventually - she needs a prf more than anyone, even if it wouldn't fix all her issues

And yeah, loosely, the skills are worth however much SP they are at base (say Distant Counter is 300 SP, Swift Sparrow 2 is 240 SP and Fury 3 is 200 SP as a guideline). The character's skills are actually counted in bands of 100s including their weapon and seal. So going from a 200 SP skill to a 240 SP skill might not make any difference, depending on the rest of their set up. Skills are slightly more weighted than merges, from what I've read, which is why a unit like Fjorm can score higher than a build +3/4, potentially.

oh, that's true. tikis still give me a fright when i see her, especially on maps with defense tiles, blargh. i want to build my own tiki, but i haven't rolled enough of 'em. personally i'm waiting to roll 10 of a unit before i start thinking about merging them, but right now that means my options are... lukas, m!robin, and laslow p: early congrats on the +10 nowi, it feels like i haven't rolled her in months o:

fingers crossed for the both of us! i'm still in the 500s so i've got my hopes up now, ;w; & covered about what i understand about the arena; as for defense wins -- i dunno how that works either. sometimes i get one win (and i'm like 99% that's a free win from someone surrendering to reset their streak) and sometimes i get loads. i guess i get lucky sometimes and the AI manages a sneaky reinhardt maneuver or something??

& this one wasn't hrid, thank goodness! i'm thinking september might be "save orbs for hrid" month for me, haha

- Tiki was one of the first units I promoted using feathers, turns out she is -att, so not great. I may build her after Eirika. But building one of each colour at a time is more then enough for my depleted feather stores. I have 5 Matthews waiting to merge. I just have to build up the courage to feed him some 5* units, like takumi for CC and Legault for Cleaner+. I don't have the feathers to promote them and all the matthews.

Congrats on Alm! I got my first recently, too. Just gave him Death Blow and his refine and he tears through AA. Haven't used him much more but he's a great pull in our ominous dragon meta.

Hahah I am sad and have too much free time so all my troops are around 1000, with Hector close to 2000. Veronica took a while to catch up, though. I have her accessory to OG Celica. Brave Celica looks cool with Ephraim's helm, too.

Also new Marth looks amazing, all those skills wow. They did the hero king well huh. I might pull red and green and just see what pops out first. I've wanted Gunnthrá for soooo long but don't really care for Spring Alfonse - but I don't have a single axe cav at 5* so it wouldn't be the worst pull. Swordhardt is the only one I have between the two colours.

- Yeah, he looks pretty good, I love that he's legit weilding the fire emblem shield! And I don't have swordhart or Lene, so I'll probably do a solid red pull (sadly, no Ryouma). I have all the blues, but they are solid units, someone pointed out that Fjorm is worth merging since she's in the Arena Bonus unit rotation, and is the only Askr that has merge potential atm, and the colourless pool might be worth pulling form too. Spring Alphonse is the only green one I don't have, but having a spare DC fodder from Hector, or a better IV's Gunnthra would be nice. Hrm, tough call, summon all, or focus on red. At least September quests will be coming out soon. I still want to try for another brave unit before getting freebie. Up to 4% again!

I've actually been using a lot of my stamina to get the august quests done, cus I didn't really get a chance to work on them since I was on vacation half the month! Almost done them now, but I still need to tackle the lunatic modes of the new paralogues too.

Am I the only one completely over seeing female Grima in legendary banners? Is there really no one else they want to put in it? Because I feel like she's been in every legendary banner since her introduction.

She has because she's our only colourless legendary hero. :x yeah it's a bit of a shambles and I don't know why they don't seem intent on mixing it up. True, there's very few important bow/staff/dagger users in the games (Micaiah and possibly Elincia) but they haven't shied away from twisting canon, either (bow Lucina). At least she's a good choice to +10 if you're so inclined, I guess.

Yeah I have a +1 Brave Lucina and don't really care for more copies, but I've yet to pull a Nephenee despite a couple of attempts and Fjorm is still merge-free (and I use her a lot, she's a great unit). I barely look at colourless at this point, lol. Swordhardt is nice but doesn't offer any decent SI. Mine is at +1, both pity breakers. Lene is whatever, don't really want her but another dancer is always a treat.

I have a few copies of Tiki but really can't decide between Lightning Breath/SB or Breath of Fog/DC. I have three Ikes waiting to depart versus one Hector, but Breath is a little more unique amongst dragons and they can be so cut and paste.

Also lol, I found out I have enough copies to +10 Boey, Nino and Soren. I am a hoarder with issues. Green mage army represent!

i feel that -- it seems a little off to be building another red or blue unit once morgan and reinhardt are done, but i also hardly roll colorless, so i don't have many options for merging with that branch right now. i kind of wish maribelle had been demoted, i would loved to merge her o: & yeah, using high investment fodder makes me super nervous ;o; (what if ardent service isn't as good to use as slaying hammer? marth will have been wasted, wah) but it's worth it for a favorite unit, i think!

(also don't forget to do at least one round of forging bonds between all your august quests! gotta get that daily 2 orbs haha)

yeah, i'm really looking forward to using alm! he was definitely a pleasant surprise, i gave him moonbow and deathblow last night; i'm probably going to wait until the weekend to level him (i can't decide on a blessing yet) but i'm excited to see how he plays in arena assault :)

& i'd try out breath of fog if you have the time; i honestly think those tikis are scarier than the regular lightning breath ones. it might be because i forget to check skills and i'm not used to seeing the new dragon stone yet, but she gives me more trouble. she beats up my poor mages when i least expect it and it's awful in the arena but it makes me want my own breath of fog tiki, haha

you're not alone! even if i want someone in the colorless pool, i ignore it on legendary banners because i'm not interested in f.grima pity breakers. honestly, the one thing that bugs me about the colored bows is that they don't boot that lady out of the colorless pool :

- Yeah, she's getting a bit tired, I hope the next legendary is colourless so they can relieve her.

- If you have the DC fodder, BoF, but if not BoF leaves her a sitting duck, so go with LB. Boey, Nino, and Soren are all pretty good green mages. Boey lacks attack, but can be a grean tank. (I encountered a +10 one with CC, and he was quite a pain to deal with!), obviously I'm a little biased for Nino, she's just a power house, and Soren is just fun cus there is so many ways you can build him.

- Yeah, I've been doing the bonds too. Hector and Ephrain are well over 1000, and I can't seem to get the girls to talk to me! They are both around 500, even with the boosted Veronika this morning, I still kept getting Hector and Ephraim.

(et al) - Oh, I get that she's the only legendary hero that's colorless -- but that doesn't make it less annoying. There's plenty of other rare colorless people that they could swap in - I don't think anyone would miss her at this point! And it just makes me frustrated that they released two archers in various colors but couldn't give us a colorless to spread the love out a bit more. It's just a bit frustrating seeing her face every time this comes around.

I'm having a (sort of) similar issue! My Ephraim is at 1700 already, but my Hector just won't budge past 300. He's just stuck. Last night he was my bonus and I tried desperately to get more with him and didn't get a single one. My girls are creeping up to 1000 but Ephraim just wants to hog the spotlight (because of course he does!)

I've discovered that Forging Bonds is actually a fun way to build up Hero Merit - better than just doing the Training Tower over and over, for example, so I'm having an enjoyable time with that at least.

- It's HM with rewards which is nice. As much as Ephraim is hogging the spotlight in Forging bonds, he's certainly taking his time showing up in my barracks! Arg. His OG form shows up all the time! I have the opposite problem with him that I do with Hector, All OG, none of the other forms, and Hector it's like All the alts and no OG!

That's very true about Forging Bonds! Getting the little bonuses definitely makes the HM grind worth it. And I have the opposite issue!! I've NEVER gotten an OG Ephraim! I've gotten the alts pretty much immediately but never the original, which feels really weird. I know he's 5 star pool only but my wife has gotten SO many of him and I'm just over here like Ephraim who's that ¯(ツ)/¯

Yeah the good thing is it all levels out if you go for max score, as there's a hard cap and it just gives the remaining points to your other units. Means you can be reckless with the bonuses if you intend to go for tops.

I've been using Linde, Xander, Brave Celica and Brave Veronica which has been a fun combo; it's also handy for catching Celica and Veronica up to speed with SP as they have some expensive kits and I wanna give them other C skills for Grand Conquests. Linde is close to capping HM, too, so I'll sub her out for Kagero who's wearing the Princess' Diadem. I pulled another Shanna recently so am probs gonna reward her with Desperation; even though she's fallen from grace, she's still fun for AA and a potential merge project for me.

I know I'm the only one but... I'm looking forward to new GC haha. I revamped my infantry team a little, adding in more of my friends' units, so I'm looking forward to their bonus round. Flying is the first round, apparently, but only three friends lead with them and they're all a little mediocre, outside a +5 Caeda.

- You want me to lead with my +3 Camilla? She has super goad fliers with her axe refine. Her skill set isn't really set up for GC, but I could change it up a bit. I could also lead with Spring Camilla, also goad fliers, no merges, but she already has some skills and I switch up for GC. Tana and Hinoka can also be set up for better GC set (again no merges, but they are pretty solid units) My flier emblem is pretty decent without having merges, so I haven't really worked on any of them. Thinking about building a Florina, but she really needs DC to shine, and I haven't got anyone to give it to her.

What is max score? I didn't hit it for anyone the last time cus I was on vacation. I don't think I have anyone close yet, but there's still a lot of time left, and they are definitely already higher than they were at this point in the last forging bonds event.

Max is 3500, you get 1 orb per character whooooo. Haha the rewards aren't the best but shouldn't be too hard to hit it. I spent around 10 stamina pots last time but basically missed the entire first half of the event.

And sure, Camilla would be fun! I have a bunch of them at 4* and she's always in the back of my mind as a project but she'd inevitably want DC too, ugh. But super Goad would be sweet, especially with the flying special effect which makes movement a breeze. I might switch over to Cordy because Galeforce is so good for taking out multiple foes, but I know a few people have her built the same way hm.

Edit: Did a few pulls on the banner and got an LA!Hector. Not too shabby! He's +HP -Def so it's a little tempting to fodder him for DC, which is far more useful to me at this point tbh. We'll see. I'll get him to 40 at least for his confession. Went back after and pulled two more greens; out comes Gunnthrá, finally! She's +Def -HP, lol, but just happy to have her. She just seems like a fun unit to play around with.
