Mhhm, not sure. I was able to search for the group and it said I could request to join. I'll make a note for a programmer to take a look into it.
oh boy! then it IS broken, in a bad way! because while it seems find the the person-who-invites side (getting confirmation and all even!) you on your end: don't get the notification PLUS it did not really invite you (if it still tells you you need to request, that'd be false i never cancelled anything, wouldn't know how..)

Could you please tell me what exact settings your group has? Is it set to "Invite Only" ?
Could you try sending me an invite?
What I did to test this, was I made a new forum group set to Invite Only, and invited my test account. I didn't get the first invite, so I sent a second one, but I got an event for the second one. So... I'm still investigating what exactly causes it to fail sometimes.

some people do get them, some don't, i noticed... seems to be way more of an intermittence problem with actual pings than the groups, maybe?
I think it may have been an issue with the events cache not clearing every time. I just pushed a fix. I'd love if you and could check again since it failed for you last time :)
