I'm a little upset. I hired a girl last week and today was her first day... and it was.. pretty bad.

oh no, what happened?

Well she gave the owner's wife a pedicure.. and it took her like an hour and a half.. and the polish did NOT look great. I want to chalk it up to nerves though. Then she gave me a manicure and the polish is a MESS. Clients would NOT be happy.

oh my, don't you have to get schooling before you do that? i know it probably better then what i could do, lol xP

Yeah you do. She's been working for the last 2 and a half years.. but she was at a men's spa for about 2 years. So I guess it's been a while since she's had to do this kind of thing.

It's okay. I'm just not sure what to do about it all! It sucks to fire someone.. and I kinda wanna give her a chance.. but I can't allow her to do to clients what she gave me today.

thanks.. not really sure, chalking it up to weather but i really need to see a doctor .. but never have time to make an appointment as hubby works all the time. only time he does get off they are closed. hopefully before snow hits as then i don't like to drive at all, lol xD

It really is all about practice. I remember my first job the owner made me paint nails with another girl for HOURS. I told her to go home and practice on everyone she knows.

I know! XD I'm hoping he only works until mid-September, but at least he's making good money while he's there. I'm going up again a week from Friday (and probably every other week until he comes home). XD Thankfully my boss is fine with me ducking out of work a little early on Fridays. c;

thanks, i dislike doctors anyways, lol i don't mind rain so much.. but the snow freaks me out so bad i tense and that makes it harder to concentrate and drive

I understand that too. XD Seeing the doctor isn't my favorite thing. I don't like driving in the snow (especially in my prius, it cuts power/breaking if it loses traction) or in ice or really heavy rain. Normal rain is fine, but I had a few scary moments driving home due to water in the road/hydroplaning.
