(( I am deleting all the OOC posts in a few minutes and keep some in case anyone gets confuse and can't see pings XD but I wanted to give you a heads up as I am moving forward with the RP. Thank you for taking the time to explain!))
"ENOUGH!" Gaia shouted from the entrance and the tent went dark the only source of light was the colorful fireplace. In the silence you could hear the soft step moving towards the desk in the back of the tent "It seems we have encountered some issues in this workshop. It would seem some of you are determined to make Hogwarts, our headmistress, and ME look bad in front of our guest speaker. This workshop is design to respect each other and their ideas. We strive to build each other up and contribute in a positive way." She was standing directly in front of the desk facing everyone. "It seems it is time I join in the fun. Would you agree, Lydia?"
((@/poppet ;) @/raven @/fable @/nik Enjoy the rare times Gaia shows any anger XD))

Eirik was startled out of his relaxed state by the outburst and darkness. He snapped his attention to the front of the tent and sat quietly.

Gaia's "Enough" woke Magnus who looked pale and perhaps feverish. He looked around the room as his friend swam in and out of his view and was embarrassed about falling asleep.
and anyone else.
Fable blinked at the sudden darkness, her eyes sheening from the prick of light left. Her voice, again soft yet loud asked. "How did you make it dark? was it magic or something else?"

Gaia grabbed something from her bag and walked towards Magnus "Here." She handed him the small vial and went to get some tea for him. "I was wondering Lydia, what happens if the Captain loses interest in their subject? What should they do?" Before Lydia could reply she turned her attention to the group "What would you all do if you lost interest in your own workshop?" handing Magnus his tea she walked towards the desk again.
She looked towards the voice "I waved my wand." Gaia looked at and winked "sometimes Captains need to do the unexpected and sometimes they keep their tricks a secret."
( and everyone else )

Eirik thought about the question. He raised his hand and said " I don't think that would ever happen. If I ran a workshop, it would be something I was passionate about, and I couldn't get bored of something like that. "

and again everyone
Fable didnt like being yelled at, it wasnt that it wasnt justified but rather that she didnt like loud noises. She sat quietly trying to recenter herself. She had asked the question of the Head Girl to hide her uncomfortableness.

Poppy perked up at 's dramatic entrance, like the rest of the crowd. It livened up the atmosphere immediately and was a welcome change in momentum.
She was more determined than ever to run a successful workshop. One that would be fun and casual, yet provided enough structure to accomplish her aims and teach everyone something new and useful. Plus, she had been seriously missing out on going off-campus in the past few terms.

((to clarify Gaia only yelled enough. The rest was in a normal voice. Come on Gaia would never lose her cool............ much))
Gaia tossed a small bag of pecan at Eirik "heads up." Then she started pacing as she talked, "but what happens if you run out of interesting stuff or have people who are already done with the subject. Put yourself in a creative place and come up with what you would do. Even when passionate about a subject obstacles can come up and being able to work around them makes all the difference in success or failure." She turned her attention for a moment "Poppy what would you do if you lost interested or ran out of things to do with your workshop? This is just an example and we can build from it."
(( ))
( and everyone else ) ((OOC missed that you asked that of , sorry, he just hermioned lol ))

Eirik easily caught the bag of pecans and set them down on the table next to him. "But I disagree. You see, I over prepare. I would also have many different options that I could explore, depending on the atmosphere of the attendees, including just asking questions of the group, so that if there were others who knew more or different things about what I was teaching, they would have the opportunity to share it so everyone could learn something new. "

Magnus took the vial with a small nod. He drank the contents and then his friend handed him tea which he drank slowly and carefully. He gave her a weak smile. Gaia was always on top of things. She must have noticed he was off from his normal self and realised he was sick. Tt was very thoughtful and the room stopped spinning so much, he wasn't sure if it was a cure-all or not but he'd take anything.
Magnus raised his hand. "Wif permission?" he asked. Waiting for approval to speak. When it was granted he continued, "To me it depends on the situation. Sometimes a joke and realigning the topic 'elps. Sometimes its more like just being able to find something else to go with. I mean, look at Quidditch. You don't just follow a straight line and 'ope the ball comes to you. As a captain you must be adaptable, quick on your feet and if it isn't 'appening you just 'ave to go with it and regroup. Ask the group if you need, see what they would like or take it in your own 'ands and tell 'em to shut there gobs and listen--but you know...nicely. Its all about the ebb and flow. And seeing what the situation calls for."
(( @/Cheshire @/belouves ))
"That's easy for me. The people who showed up are interested for one reason or another. Some will have proven more adept than others with the subject at hand throughout the workshop. If I lost interest or ran out of steam, I would take a break and let a student of my choice express his or her particular interest within the topic." Poppy considered the example further.
"Let's say my workshop is about offensive spellwork. I'd take a backseat and let the girl with the unusual Patronus show it to us, and explain or something."
She took a breath. "It's important that workshops are specific. The Captain has to edit beforehand, but take changes during the actual session in stride."

Gaia looked pleased "It seems we have some perspective now. We have established that" The chalk started scribbling on the blackboard as Gaia paced " a captain needs to be prepared. Have contingency plans, different ways to explain their subject, and experience and vast knowledge of the subject at hand." The chalk kept listing on the blackboard "Basing off from Poppy's idea bringing someone in to give you a break is an acceptable way to handle situations like getting stuck or having to revise your plans and ideas. Eirik is also right! Asking questions to the members will help keep everyone attentive and allow you to assess the success of your workshop and give you time to redirect your point or use a different technique."
Gaia looked at her friend and smile "Adaptability!" more scribble on the blackboard "It is one of the most important aspects of being a Captain. You won't always have control or know everything on a subject, but if you can quickly adapt I can assure you, you will have a successful workshop." She gave everyone time to catch up and take notes.
( )
( and others )

Eirik raised his hand. "Another thing for a successful workshop...breaks. Speaking of which, when are we scheduled for one..?" he asked with a smile. He wanted a cigarette and some more of that gf carrot cake, and Fable looked like she could use some fresh air...

"Excellent idea!" Lydia said "There are some nuts here for you all. Go ahead and take a few minutes. To those of you interested in the art section go ahead and explore. If you feel inclined draw."
((This works because I am about to pass out! I will get back on tomorrow and keep the RP going!))
Poppy jumped at the chance to relieve her aching hand and stood to stretch. Quickly, she returned her empty things and filled a new mug with black coffee. She grabbed a small bag of honey roasted almonds and took tiny sparkly unicorn stickers for marking up her pages. The Head Girl's touch among the art supplies was glaringly obvious. (OOC: Goodnight all! Bed for me too.)

(( yay !! getting ready to do other things offline, so it works for me too ))
( and others)

Eirik looked quite pleased with the break time, and smiled at his group. " I am heading outside for my break, I will be back in shortly...if anyone cares to join me, I wouldn't mind...but do your own thing."
With that Eirik made his way outside of the tent and walked behind the tree he had used before. He pulled out his flask and drank deeply, then capped it and put it back in his robes. He lit up a cigarette and leaned against the tree, trying to relax.

Mac carefully copied the words that the chalk wrote on the blackboard. She knew she wasn't prepared to lead a workshop. She certainly was not an expert in anything-yet. She had only come to the workshop to learn what skills were expected of a leader. Later, she could devise a plan to try to develop those skills in herself.
On the margin of her notes, she carefully wrote 'turn it upside down' It was her response to what she would do if she lost interest in her subject. Next to the note, she carefully drew a crawdad lying on its back. The underside of a crawdad looked like a different animal entirely.
Fable got up from her beanbag once a break had been given. She first went to the snack table and gathered more gluten free carrot cake and something more substantial. She then went to the art supply station and sighed, seeing it had been picked throughly through. She gathered up what she could and took the things back to her beanbag, which she had enlarged to be more of a proper chair. Realizing she needed more drink, she went and got a new cup of tea and a bottled water, again setting them by her beanbag.
After she had set all these things in her area she stepped outside, put on her headphones, tuning it to calming music and walked to the nearest bathroom. The cool fresh air would help clear her head and give her some centering time. She made sure to set an alarm to make sure she was back in time.
