She came out of the girls dorm dressed and ready for the day. She still had a bit of sadness in her eyes but she met up with Eirick. She gave a small smile "hey...ready?"

Eirik smiled when he saw Fable walk up. "You are so beautiful," he said quietly. "Yes, I am ready, shall we..?" and he happily walked out of the common room with his beloved.

Saturday, 14th of January

The conversation about food brought Kyros back to reality and to the fact he was starving. He was rather used to going without eating, so he honestly hadn't noticed he was hungry before. "Oh, you're right Elizabeth. We should go eat... I really don't want to miss the first workshop!" He was rather excited for it.

He listened carefully to Ariette's explanation, more and more fascinated at every word. "It seems fascinating... But... Isn't such a broad limitation of magic dangerous? People could use this easily-available blood magic for a myriad of magical crimes. You must have a strong auror force to keep things in order." The boy mused, frowning slightly at his thoughts. I should get some books on magical Italy once I'm done with these... It seemed weird for him that a society with Muggles and magical beings were so close, and darker types of magic so widespread. Perhaps the ban on dark magic in Britain did encourage its practicers to more radical pursuits? He had never thought of that before. He had to know more.

"It seems like you come from a unique country, miss. I'd love to know more about it when you have the time..."

Friday, 20th of January

Kyros' hand hurt. He was working on his homework like his life depended on it, his hand spotted with ink as his quill ran across large streaks of parchment. His dark circles were even more pronounced than the usual, his skin even more pale, and his brows frowned in concentration made him almost look possessed. He was terribly tired, but wasn't eager to stop until he had his whole work done. He coud hardly notice the passing of time, or how his thoughts seemed slowler and slowler... Ever since the workshop, the boy kept mostly to himself, focusing on academic duties and finishing his library books. He had hardly seen his House mates, and though he missed them, he reasoned it was best if they were not always together for a while.

Shit. I'm wondering off. I had to focus.... Where was I... Magical diseases... He tried to remember his train of thoughts, but focusing was hard. So was keeping his eyes open, now that he noticed...

Slowly, against his wishes, he closed his eyes and fell softly asleep, head resting atop the mountain of homework.

--- Saturday, 14th of January --- She chuckled quietly at Kyros' hunger, and stood slowly "Perhaps we should continue this conversation another time Signore? I'd be happy to tell you about my country any time you prefer. It can be dangerous but one must remember the cost blood magic has upon a person. Although not restricted; the consequences, cost, and magical power needed are no paltry matter. The underworld runs mostly on honor and their own sense of justice, this seems to generally balance the crazies out there..."

Merlin was finishing an assignment and put the books away after he was done. He looked around the empty common room and wondered what happened to everyone, when suddenly he saw movement in a corner.

Lee walked out the corner with his dog. (lee is 6'5" as a note) he looked over at the teen who was sitting at the table with a pile of books. "Hello, excuse me, I am looking for...a Prefect..would you know where one is..?"

Charlotte looked about unsure. The head of the house had dropped her off after being sorted. "Im sure there is a prefect in here somewhere if you need assistance. Do our house justice! I expect only good things Ms. Buttons!" and then abruptly left. She had been assured that her things had been put in her dorm room for settling. She looked about feeling a bit uncomfortable. Her tail curled around her ankles.

Merlin looked waaay up to the tall man in front of him and wondered if he had suddenly been shrunk with some magic spell or was this guy too tall. After listening to his question he pointed at the badge on his shirt that clearly said P R E F E C T. "I guess you find one."

Suddenly he felt a very sweet smell that made him hungry, and when he turned to look at an imaginary tart he found a strange looking girl with a long tail. "Um, hello. You are by any chance the other new student? I was notified last minute there were late arriving students coming tonight." He then looked at the other guy he assumed was the other student. "I'm guessing he is the other one. Since Poppy, the other prefect is not here I guess I will introduce myself. I am Merlin Pendragon, your prefect."

Lee smiled. "Sorry about that, not familiar with your uniform badges. Yes, I'm Lee, Lee Edwards, and this is Kodi. Nice to meet you."

Outfit Not Found Charlotte looked was looking around the impressive common room when her attention was called to the two gents. She looked way up at the tall boy then at the prefect. "Yessum...Im the exchange student from Salem...Charlotte Buttons. Its a pleasure." she gave a small smile. "beautiful common room you have. I like the aquarium windows....are they quite safe?"

Merlin smiled at the two and first talked to the giant in front of him. "It's a pleasure Lee." He looked at the dog and placed his hand in front of him so he would sniff him. "Hello Kodi, I'm Merls is it ok if I touch you?" The dog wagged his tail so he pet him softly. "You are very beautiful."

When he heard the girls voice he smiled since he heard a funny accent, at least it sounded funny to him. "Hello Lottie, is it ok if I call you that? Are you from Salem India or Massachusetts? Or is there another Salem maybe?" He scratched his head. "I'm not great with geography." Merlin then looked at the windows and nods. "They are perfectly safe and if they are not, nobody tells us." Merlin then looked at both and added. "Your luggage is already in your bedrooms, they are quite comfortable but if there is anything you need call a house elf or let me or Poppy know, you will meet her later." () He looked to the left. "The boys rooms are all the way down that corridor and the girls to the back, careful with the stairs because they can't be seen that clearly in the dark corridor. No worries no one had break a neck after a fall so far."

Lee smiled. "Thank you for the information, I do have a question though. If we need a house elf, is there a certain word or phrase to summon them..? Not quite sure how you do things here."

He gave Charlotte a smile and nod.

Outfit Not Found Charlotte smiled and waved at the puppy. Then looked back up at the prefect. "Lottie is fine! and ummm actually I went to the Salem Witches Institute in Massachusetts, but I live in Maine in the United States! If it makes yous feel any better though...Im not that good at geography either. Especially when they start calling multiple places the same thing." she looked at where he was pointing and then gave a chuckle at his window comment...though wondering how serious he was...but she was sure they wouldnt do anything to put the students at risk. She listened to Lees question, it was a good one. The castle was so different then her old school and she was overly curious and fascinated by all the unique bits and bobs around.

"Um, no you can just say I need help from a house elf and they will come, they know somehow. BUT if you meet one you like you can individually call for him or her if you please. I normally call Pegs, she always spoils me. Just make sure to ask their names so you can call them again." He smiled. "The breakfast is served at 6:30am, lunch at 11:30am, and dinner at 5:30pm so make sure to get there on time."

Merlin listened and nods. "I didn't know there was an institute there, but hey I live in a secluded little village. The only school I knew of was Hogwarts until recently."

Merlin then decided to continue. "In case any of you decide to join the Quidditch team, practices are Monday and Fridays from 5:30am to 7:00am, leaving you enough time to have a quick breakfast if you run really fast from the fields to the hall, just so you keep it in mind. It is not allowed to fly inside the castle, so flying with your broom to the dining hall is not a good idea."

Lee nodded. "That's great, thank you. Do you know if there are any restricted areas outside for pets, besides the Forbidden Forest...? Is the lake safe to swim in, when its warm enough of course...? And heading to Hogsmeade, is that only allowed on weekends..? I know the headmistress covered a great many things, but I thought of these after she had left me."

Char snickered at Merlins warning around flying to the dining hall. "I takes it youve tried that before then? the flying I mean. A secluded village! how fascinating!!" her eyes lit up with curiosity. "Well...its kinda like...I guess..mind you I dont know much about Beauxbatons...but like it? Its an all girls school.." she nodded. "But well...everyone shops in Diagon Alley. dont think there is enough wizards in the world to warrant lots of big shopping places for us, but anyway...Ive heard about Hogwarts and I was interested in European culture..so I signed up to be an exchange student. Finish my years out here, ya know? Oh...whys the Forbidden Forest so Forbidden? is it got rougarou in there or sumtin?" she didnt mean to ask questions...but with all the new stimuli she was getting easily distracted.

She heard Lees question about the lake. "Is there sumtin in the lake!?" she looked back at the windows.

Merlin suddenly felt a bit overwhelmed with questions and took a deep breath. "One at a time..ok, let me think what to answer first. Hogsmade are on weekends only and you can visit from 8am till 8pm so there is enough time, but if you want to eat in the school you must come at the dining hours, breakfast is served till 9am in weekends, which is good if you want to sleep a bit more." He was thoughtful for a moment. "Pets may be forbidden inside some classrooms, depending on the teacher and the class but they can pretty much go everywhere. I don't suggest taking them to the bathrooms, many students won't like it and well they can cause accidents." He took a deeper breath. "As for the Forbidden Forest, well it is off limits and if you are caught you can get detention or worse. There are lots of harmless creatures but also many dangerous ones that is why it is forbidden." He then remembered the question about the lake. "You can't go swimming on the lake unless you have permission and a professor with you, which would rarely occur, there are merpeople living in there among other nasty creatures you really don't want to meet. However there is a pool for students."

Merlin then smiled thinking he answered everything, but then added. "I never tried flying inside the castle, in fact I don't fancy flying with brooms."

Lee nodded and looked down at Kodi. "Well, buddy, no playing in the lake for you," and petted his head. "Ok, 8 to 8 on weekends, thank you. I will ask the professors for each class if Kodi is allowed or not, and if so, I will bring him then. Thank you, " he said with a smile.
