Lenore looks over her shoulder, arms still raised toward Charlotte and the animals hanging on the curtain rod. "Not a statue?" She takes a small breath and calms herself back into normal speech. "Wait. Drew, what do you mean by 'she?' You can't possibly be saying that the thing over there is a person?"

Lee looked down. "Sorry Charlotte, I usually am a schnauzer, but..I'm also a Tibetan Mastiff when I feel like, well, you know, really threatened." He gave an apologetic smile. "Sorry Lenore. Hi Drew. Seriously, that thing moves around..? What is it..? It's...it's not human, " he added with a whisper.

Drew couldn't help but snicker as the fluffy girl called Lee a bark brain. But then as both the girls questioned him, he nodded his dark head and said, "Yes, she's a student. And from what little I saw of her in the workshop a rather haughty one at that." He frowned slightly trying to remember more about the snobbish girl, but there had been more than one, he thought. "Best I remember she had an accent too," he related. His hazel eyes went from Lee to the 'statue' and then back at Lee's comment. "She's not?" he asked quietly. "I wonder what she is then."

Outfit Not Found She went over and nudged Lee. "Its ok...just scared me. Thank you Lenore for helping with the critters. Sorry I flipped out...just...was already a little spooked by the umm....well girl (she said it a little uncertainly) and then Lee had explained some of his...well Im sure you get it." she blushed and then looked over at Drew. "Hiya...Im Charlotte Buttons...sorry bout the commotion! Still gettin used to all the ins and outs of Hogwarts." she gave a small smile and retained the urge to still go poke the er...girl.

Lenore sets the animals down and hears a soft plunk as Charlotte lands beside her. "No worries Lee. Merlin knows I have my moments!" She chuckles then turns to Drew. "Sorry, did I introduce myself? I was a little preoccupied." she looks to include the others. "Um, I'm not too good at remembering other people or their feelings when I'm focused. I'm more of a ...practical planner? I was determining the best method of protection for various scenarios."

Lee smiled as Kodi was returned to the ground. "Thank you Lenore," he said, picking up his dog and snuggling him. Kodi was happy to see his daddy was in a good mood again.

Lee laughed. "Well, maybe 'she' is ignoring all those who she doesn't consider her equals, or her room isn't good enough or, I don't know," he said quietly. "But yeah, humans don't give me that reaction..and I know it's not a were-wolf, it's not like Charlotte...what does that leave...that could behave like that." He considered. "Vampire...?"

He gave Charlotte a little nudge. "Bark brain, really..?" he said and laughed.

Outfit Not Found She looked WAY up at Lee and smiled. "You know I mean it out of kindness, Tree" she then walked back to the statue and leaned in a little. It didnt even seem to register her. She waved her hand in front of her face.

"Thats so crazy! its like she doesnt even register us. I would never want to be that out of it. I mean...maybe she feels super safe here or something? I mean what if we got the sudden idea to paint all over her face or somethin?" She looked back at the others as she talked then the thought of what she had suggested sent a grin as big as the cheshire cats across her face showing her pointy teeth. Then shook her head like noooo we shouldnt. "Not that we would do that to a fellow housemate."

"Nice to meet you, Charlotte," Drew smiled. "I know what you mean. I'm new here and still learning too."

He looked over at Lenore and nodded. "Yep, you told me your name. And it's all good. I was wondering what I'd walked into, but I know a little about dogs and like them so....yeah," he blushed at the thought that Lee was really a student.

"Hmm...maybe so," Drew said to Lee, thinking of his meeting with Eirik. He wondered where the other boy had gone. It had been fun to meet him and Magnus. "I honestly don't really know many people yet...just a few in our house and some I met at the workshop." He looked at the others and said, "You all ought to come to the next workshop."

Lee smiled at Drew. "Isn't that the one our prefect Merlin is running..? I had planned on going, I just have to pop down to Hogsmeade first, then I will be there."

He looked over at Fable. "What are you doing..?" he asked curiously. "It's dangerous, even if it's not moving right now." He watched Lenore go over as well. Then he laughed, and his eyes grew a little big. "Drawing on her...would be wrong," he said with a chuckle, "however, this won't be. "

He got out some ink, parchment and quill and went to a table to write. When it was dry, he came back and showed it to the group. On the parchment was written 'Please do not disturb, I need my beauty sleep.'

Lee laughed. "What do you think..? I will put it up by her like a sign, so everyone can read it," he said, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Lenore smiles and adds "I think we're all still learning." She gets up close and looks at the statue-girls eyes which were shut tight then gingerly pokes at her lips to see if there are any visible fangs. "I can't tell." She shrugs "Whatever she is, I think you may be right Charlotte. You'd have to feel pretty comfortable to make yourself vulnerable like that. What if we had hurt her thinking she was some evil object? Unless....what if she feels comfortable because she can't be hurt?"

She grins as Lee places the sign. "Ooh, you had better hope she doesn't know who did that. What if her aura is just as dark when she's awake?"

"Oh dear... I just realized that I haven't even looked at my dormitory yet, much less unpacked. Now that we're all calmer I think I had better go do that. It's been great to meet you all." She picks up her books and smiles at her new friends and housemates then chuckles again at the sign-topped statue.

((ooc I need to head off to bed. Goodnight all!))

"Yes, that's the one Merlin's running," Drew confirmed to Lee. He looked curious and asked, "What do you need from Hogsmeade?"

Drew grinned impishly at Charlotte's suggestion. "Oh yes...that would be very wrong," he said, mischief sparkling in his hazel eyes. Then as Lee made the sign, he laughed. "It's perfect!" he declared. "She's going to need to be there a long time for her beauty sleep. Wonder if she's allergic to dust if it starts collecting on her," he grinned.

Charlotte was crouched over the girl/statues lap so the others could get in there as well. She LOVED the sign and grinned and was impressed with Lenores bravery. She called out rather loudly. "HEY WHY YOU LIKE THAT?!" and was shocked the girl didnt move at all.

"Oh my gosh guys...how can anyone be this out???" she wasnt trying to be mean but...wow! She ran over to the treat table and can back with sweets. She begin putting them in her cheeks. "There....now she will have sweet dreams!" she smiled.

Once she had felt satisfied with her observation of the being she looked at Drew and nodded. "Ya I plan on going to the workshop, I just transfered here so..this will be my first one. I know I want to get a safety charm for Tutti so none of the other pets around here eat her...OH! This is my puppy Cricket (mini Schnauzer puppy black) and this is Tutti Fruiti, Toots for sure...(Like hiya Toots!) I made her in the charms class and couldnt bare to part with her...and well Lee bought me my pup when we met going down to Hogsmeade. I couldnt have pets were I lived...its a long story..but he said hed take em when we were on vacation." She smiled feeling like she was rambling again.

"Sorry for the ramble....feel like Im doing that a lot lately!" she smiled. "Oh Lenore...I love your accent by the way. If..I accidentally pick any of it up..please dont take offense. For a lot of my life I tried mimicking humans....tryin to fit in ya know? Im trying to get over the habit...didnt work very well anyway." she shrugged sheepishly.

Lee watched in horror and amusement as Charlotte put sweets in the statues mouth, and laughed heartily at her Patty imitation from the Ghostbusters movie.

Lee nodded. "Yeah I made Day my rooster in the class as well, and he needs one of those charms too...lots of cats around here. Not that I don't like cats, I just don't need them eating my chickens."

Lee smiled. "Yep, they can come home with me when I bring my two clucks back to their new home. It's be nice for Kodi to have another dog besides me to play with for awhile. "

Poppy noticed that the new Slytherin boy () from the workshop had returned to the common room as well.

"Please excuse me. Merlin is leading an approved walk in the Forbidden Forest and I have to get changed for it. Come if you like!"

(OOC: Sorry for doing a poor job of responding. I definitely wanted Poppy to be acquainted with the new Slytherins and to mention Merlin's workshop to them, even though the latter doesn't take place right after she delivers the sweets from the prior workshop.)

Kyros was tired, which was a poor way of saying exhausted. The routine of running to class, taking notes, running to the library, studying his eyes out, fainting in bed and repeating the whole process was slowly catching up to him. His usual dark circles were even more pronounced, his skin pale and lifeless. Since Eirik and Fable left, his nightmares had been worse as well, though only his cat knew about it. He had dedicated all of his free time to research more about magical law and the ways they could fight for the Council's ideals within magical society... And for that, he hadn't seen Elizabeth () or Merlin () or any of his other friends in weeks. It had come to a point where a quick trip to the infirmary was needed, and after being scolded by the nurse, he decided a break was indeed needed. Luckily, Merlin's workshop would begin soon, so after a quick trip to the Common Room to change, maybe he could go there and catch up for the lost time.

Fighting back a yawn, the boy entered the Common Room with his arms full of the usual books, and right in time to see an apparent mayhem. Ariette was in a trance (), Poppy was chatting to some new students he hadn't even seen before, there was a strong smell of candy everywhere, there were animals everywhere, and the appearance that someone had climbed up one of the curtains. The strange sight was enough to break through Kyros' honed composure, and he couldn't help but squick a loud "What the hell...???" before regaining control of himself. Focus. Focus. This isn't the weirder you've seen yet. It's... Close, but not the weirder.

He forced himself to smile charmly at his new colleagues, his usual smoothness back even though he mentally cursed himself at being so unpresentable at the moment. "So, you must be the new students. Hope you're getting acquainted to our underwater safe haven! I'm Kyros, by the way, Kyros Riven. Pleased to meet all of you."

"I do see you were... Getting along? I suppose? If you pardon me, what exactly happened here?"

(OOC: Sorry for the delay, everybody. I've been busier than I thought this semmester, it's being a ride and I'm exhausted ;u; But I hope I'll be able to rp a little)

Drew laughed at Charlotte's antics with the 'statue' and then smiled as she introduced her pets. "Toots is adorable," he said. "I can see why you wanted to keep her. I love animals, especially dogs and horses, but I've never met a kiwi before." Looking over at Lee, Drew said, "You have chickens? Here? That's a bit unusual but neat. I'm glad to see that more dog lovers have come to Hogwarts and especially to Slytherin. I mean I like cats, but the only one I've been around doesn't seem to like me, so yeah, I prefer dogs." He shrugged slightly.

As another boy entered the room, Drew looked over and thought the other student looked pretty rough. Still he tried to be friendly. "Hello, I'm Drew," he said. "Good to meet you, Kyros. As for what happened...well...long story that ended well. No blood, no foul as they say. Why don't you help yourself to some of the food that Poppy brought back from the workshop? Millie and Emmett did a bang up job of it."

"Good to know nobody got hurt, but still, sounds like I missed some interesting stuff. Oh well, at least I didn't miss on the interesting people here." Kyros winked playfully at Drew, his uneasiness softened a bit due to the prospect of food and someone to talk to. "Thanks for the offer, I'd like some of those...." And the nurse did say he needed to eat more. Thanking Poppy (), Kyros took quite a few Chocolate Cauldrons for himself. Chocolate is indeed my weakness... "So, Drew, how's your Hogwarts experience being so far? Having fun?"

While happily partaking on his sweet tooth, the male continued with his indagations. "It does smell a lot like candy here? Is it all from the workshop? Or did someone had an unfortunate experiment with magical cooking devices?" The boy gave out a small chuckle. It did seem weird that he couldn't seem to place exactly what it was and where from; part of him wished he could have the sort of heightned smell his friends used to have. And speaking of friends with special qualities..."Also... Why are you folks giving candy to Ariette?"

"Oh it was interesting alright," Drew said with a smile as he glanced at the others. "My experience here has been great so far. I went to the workshop about the other wizarding schools...learned a lot, had some good food, and made new friends. I'm planning to go to Merlin's workshop too. I can't wait to explore in the Forbidden Forest."

He watched as Kyros took some of the food. "Well, part of the smell might be the fact that I brought back plenty of maple syrup candy with me from the workshop," he took out some of the candy from his pocket and offered Kyros a piece, "but the smell was already here when I came in so I don't think it's me. It seems to be..." he glanced over at Charlotte and said, "Charlotte. Don't know the full details though."

As the other boy spoke of Ariette, Drew said, "Ariette? That's her name? We were never introduced. The others thought she was a statue since she's not moving no matter what we do or say. I had seen her briefly at the workshop, but never really met her."

Kyros kindly accepted more candy as Drew offered it, thanking the new colleague for feeding his sweet tooth. "Thank you, candy is never too much if you ask me. And it's great to know that you're enjoying things here! Looks like the workshop was interesting. I was busy, though." Trying not to faint in the library, and to make sense of old latin judicial terms. "I made a room for Merlin's workshop, though. He is a very good prefect and will make a good captain. And we Slytherins do like to go see some 'forbidden' things, don't we?" He chuckled mischieviously.

The story about Ariette, however, was really interesting. "You guys thought she was a statue??" Kyros didn't want to laugh, but he couldn't hold it back. Damn it, he must be losing his so precious self-control. With some effort, he managed to recover his composure. "I-I mean, I understand why you thought so. It's just... She's definetely a person. A vampire, for sure, but a person! And that's why I thought it was so weird you were giving her candy, because I don't think she can eat it."
