You may feel bitter, yet you speak the truth . If selling for $80 is too cheap, then sell it for $100 or $120. We had to pay 140€ because we missed the pre-sale for it's regular value of 70-80€
And we're definitely not paying 300-320€ for the NES CM! :P (bitter too!)
Hi and :D
Yea but it isn't like their economic disruption is garnering them additional revenue. Just weird. WEIRD. I want to play Zelda again but I am so bitter about this whole thing I refuse to get a Switch or a wii
That is so exciting! :D oh my goodness how CUTE on sharing birthdays. I like it hehehe
You got it for a good price, congrats! And hopefully it is worth it! :D
Muwahaha thanks. No idea where the girl went...
HELLO DEAR.
Oh I hear you, they are definitely an oddball. Like that one uncle you pretend isn't really there but he always has the good candy.
(No, I don't have that uncle but I can picture it!...oh crap...I do have that uncle...but he brings hot chocolate D= )
Hahahaha, I don't have that one uncle... but I do have the one aunt that brings the adult juice... LOL
That's good! I bet it is a fun nostalgia walk! :D without having to blow on cartridges lol
I was super excited when I found out I could get old nintendo games on the wii u. I've been doing super mario world and other ones - impressing my son with my skills.
Since well...these new mario games? That wii control? DAFAQ? Wii u I can handle - it is closer to my style, but the wii remotes?!?!? I feel like a fish out of water and up until we got these old school games, my son had to think I was full of crap when I talked about actually beating games before...
Wait... WHAT!? Like classic games on the console, or remakes (like the Super Mario Bros Wii game that I got stuck in and gave up?)?
And yea the wii remotes were so bad... one of the reasons I got rid of the console... I was using it primarily as an expensive scale LOL
Classic games :) We have Donkey Kong 2&3 (I think 3...), super mario world, super mario 3, mario all stars (which of course has mario 2 and the mario all stars game!).
It is amazing! They keep adding more too. :D
DK2 is my all-time favorite game ! I 102% completed it back in the day--since then it's gotten lost :c
This year we a had a BBQ cookoff and our friend and his two 5-year old boys hung out all day with us. We brought out our SNES and it was so funny--we really had to force them to look at the screen, the kept wanting to look for something on the controller. It's like the concept of the screen being detached from the controller is completely foreign nowadays!
Glad you're able to show off your mad gaming skills and prove you're an awesome (and cool) mommy.
Okay the fact that the Classic games are available definitely makes the Wii U more appealing :P Maybe I will ask for one for Christmas... my dad already started asking what I want. LOL
Man, I loved the DK games.
Yea it is so interesting watching kids these days interact with old technology! And also kind of sad and makes me feel old hehee
Yup! Aidan wasn't as bad since we played classic stuff with him before hand (we only recently got rid of the older consoles). But those who never had that interactions, it is so funny to watch! I feel old, but I enjoy it! :D
Definitely! We are looking into the nintendo switch this year, I am not sure of it's capabilities but can look into it to see if that can do it too :D However if you just want classic definitely go with Wii U!
I just asked my husband and he said you can get it for the Wii but the Wii store is supposed to close in a few years...I think the Wii U has a longer deadline? We can look into it more if you want :D
Interesting, thanks for the info!!! Perhaps I will get a Wii U. I like the idea of the Switch but there were so many issues when it first launched (especially with the design... like the dock scratching the screen) that I have been waiting. I am sure it's way better now... but those controllers look so small in videos/pictures! :P
Hi everyone. I hope to get a switch eventually. I love Zelda games, and skipped the wii U. We still use our original wii; actually we just replaced it. Tom and I play things like bowling, tennis and golf a lot, and like the motion sensor for that.
I remember having some problems with the controls when playing Okami, but don't really remember that otherwise. I still have my original NES, a SNES I bought used, 64 and gamecube. I've played GC games on the wii before too - it has outlets for the old controllers.
Also still have a Sega Genesis and Dreamcast. I should break that out one of these days. It had a few really fun games. As you can tell, I'm a packrat. But, I'm working on it - except when it comes to good video games.
Hey there! And I think packratting classic gaming consoles is worth it! I almost regret decluttering mine a few years ago... I especially miss the GC.
Random Event Afflicted moans and groans for a few seconds, but gains 3 points of health!
it's especially nice when newer consoles let you play older discs and use the controllers too. I guess everything will be accessed online eventually though.
good RE!
Yea definitely. I honestly was surprised when I re-bought AC2 for the 360 a couple of weeks ago and the dude at Gamestop was like "oh this is a backwards compatible title." I specifically remember xbox one not being backwards compatible, but it seems microsoft has changed their mind... partially. Just some titles.
But you are right about things being digital in the future. Physical movies and music are becoming more and more obsolete.
I have been seing the board over and over again. Been checking it out and you all seem very friendly and chatty so i decided to post here. And put in an application.
