As much as I love that the wardrobe is finally getting some attention, it's been about three weeks since the recent forum changes introduced a slew of bugs that have yet to be addressed. Admittedly most of them are pretty small, but that almost makes it more frustrating that they aren't being fixed because they don't seem they should take much work. Subeta's programmers have a tendency to jump from project to project and leave things unfinished, which seems to be the case here too, and I don't want to let this one get backburnered until you all forget about it.
HA likes aren't working (Edit: And says pet likes are broken too, which may or may not be related) Cannot Like Avatars? Avatar Likes * Still cannot like HA&;s?
Forum group admins can delete entire threads, but not individual posts: Unable to Delete Posts
The [ preview= * ] sCode tag doesn't work anymore: Wearable previews not displaying in forums Edit: The tag is functional again, but uses the wrong avatar base.
Names of frozen players are not crossed out like they used to be: Frozen users missing strikethrough on forums
Emoji in signatures show up as text. (I'm not sure if this is still a problem. I tried to test, but my signature is taking forever to update?) Emojis not working in signatures
[edit]

Fixed, I think
The language filter is in effect for everyone, regardless of user preferences:
Lock
Bad word filter not working correctly
Wishlist boxes don't show up: please lock thank you WL items not marked in forums
Threads don't load on mobile: Forum posts not loading on mobile
Stars beneath usernames have changed around: Lost stars under name?
And post numbers have returned, but only with respect to the current page rather than the entire thread:
(I can make this overall as well, but right now it&;s just 1-20 on every page)
That would be nice, especially now that threads have a post limit.Source

Avatar likes and pet likes haven't been fixed, either. It feels like nothing is happening other than the wardrobe right now. While I also appreciate the work on the wardrobe, there are many fixes needed around the site that seem like easy fixes.
The bad world filter is something that really needs addressing. There's no sign that staff are even aware of the issue.
The filter does more than block out chatspeak and a few offensive words. Because of the way it works, it filters inoffensive terms, causing issues with item names, URLs, and anything else that might needlessly trip the censor. It's a bigger issue than "oh well. People can't swear on the forums any more", and I'd like some assurance that it's being looked into
I already said this on one of the boards, but I'll say it again here. The filter needs redoing. I'd support it being gone altogether, but some people need it.
One of the biggest problems with the filter is that it filters ANY matches it finds. Take "peacock" for example. The last half of that word would filter into "rooster" (there's a reason it doesn't. I'll get to that in a bit). If the filter finds a target, it doesn't care if it's part of another word. Because of this, we end up with issues like broken item names and broken URLs.
As for why "peacock" shows up just fine:
Okay. And apparently the filter goes to all this trouble instead of filtering EXACT, WHOLE WORD MATCHES so that users can't easily bypass the filter. Which might have been necessary at one time, but makes no sense now. To quote myself from that thread:
Right now, I'd just be happy for my filter disabled setting to work properly again. But for people who want to continue using the filter, there are still other issues with it that need addressing.
The worst part for me is that I cannot read topics via mobile version anymore.
Thank you for this board 8) I'd hang Christmas lights all around this board so maybe it will get noticed if it's festive as fuck.
Watch my last words get filtered lmao. [edit]
"festive as love" 8)
Another one is the user icons don't always show correctly next to the user on forum posts, although they do show within the post text and everywhere else on the forums.
This is what I mean
The icon next to the username that goes with their post
The red ones for admins don't seem to be affected though, and the gold account icons also work.
[edit]Oh and the green ones for the NPC characters are showing as the red admin ones now too, as seen in some of those threads in the general discussion.
Bless you for this
Luminaire Tree!
[Tree=Chrystle]
Also Tubular Tiles hasn't worked for weeks and still no response on whether or not trees will be added back in forum posts, appearing via mouse hover like previous years.
EDIT: Still getting forum giftboxes even though this news post says it would end TODAY at 12:01 am
- Added the user icon thing to the first post.
- I added the missing trees and forum giftboxes to the first post. I seem to remember Keith or someone saying that trees wouldn't be added back to the forums because they were too resource intensive or something, but of course now I can't find the post. :P
- Pet likes aren't on the forums right? I would assume that's a separate issue, but I added a note about it to the first post anyway just in case it's related to avatar likes.

they actually show up purple in any post a mini makes in the forum they have power in. it doesn't have to be an official post.
Ugh I can agree the avatar likes not working is extremely frustrating for me. I love going around and liking avatars and now there's not much point to it.
Also extremely upset that I believe it was said our avatar likes would be given back after the server move and that's still not been addressed? I realise it's the holidays and all, but as someone that takes a long while to make an avatar those likes meant a lot to me as I'm sure they do others!

Oh dang, somehow I thought that had already been fixed but you're right. I'm still missing a couple hundred likes, and I know post likes were affected too and that's still messed up.

Ah, that makes sense. But still, I thought before they used to show up purple in all of the forums, so I figured it was worth pointing out at least.
Yeah they did. It actually affects my leash and it will only show up in S&I because mini GAs are different, but that's not a big deal to me.
HA likes are working at least part of the time, but the heart doesn't change so you can't tell. I've gotten likes while this was going on though (though, only a handful, probably because people are like "well they aren't working anyway so why bother?") and I've seen a few other people say the same.
But yeah, I'd really like to see some of these things get fixed :/
The forums are inconsistent and slow to update who the last poster was on the main forum directory. I find myself always switching to desktop version on my phone because the mobile version has been a mess for a long time now.

I hope this doesn't come off as dismissive, because I 100% don't mean it that way, but please remember there are only two of us and we can't focus on everything all of the time. We are aware of all of the things that've been mentioned here (we do go through the problems and bugs forum, even when we're not actively responding to things!), and they will all be addressed, but there are always so many things going on that we're dealing with that things like this aren't priority . Since none of these problems (except for maybe topics not loading in the mobile layout) are gamebreaking or abusable glitches, they just don't get immediate attention and more like.. they simply get added to the list of things we're already working on.
- I understand that there are only two programmers, but why not fix all the bugs that the forum update introduced before jumping back over to the wardrobe? As frustrating as it is to have a buggy wardrobe, it's been like that for so long that most people accepted it as a fact of life, and no one would have been upset if you had delayed the v3.5 reveal a week or two to finish the forums.
How long would it really take to fix this handful of forum bugs? It doesn't seem like it should be more than a few days to get things back to the level of functionality we're used to.

- Thank you for posting. I appreciate all that you do for this site. For some reason, I thought there were more than two of you serving as programmers. There needs to be more of you... Just sayin'.
Is there a way for perhaps Destiny and Reya to perhaps respond a little more frequently to the P&B threads? As it is right now, most of us have no idea if anyone even knows or cares that there are problems because no staff member whatsoever is posting there to the things that people actually care about or the staff posts are few and far between.
For example, Keith posted on this thread about avatar likes way back on November 29th, but there has been no update from anyone since then, even though Keith thought he knew what the problem was.
Like a lot of us have said on more that one occasion... More communication, more communication, more communication... If we had known that you all were aware that a lot of us don't particularly like that forum things are broken but that they're on a list to be fixed, this thread probably wouldn't have started in the first place. But, how do we know that you all know that the bad word filter is broken if no one from staff posts?
