I was born on Vancouver Island :D I've only driven thru Montreal, but you are braver than me shopping downtown.

Black Friday in downtown Montreal isn’t as bad as a regular shopping day in China. There are more people than the normal times I shop; but, you can still move around (with my personal shopping cart & walking pole)… and most of the places I went to I know the layout of the store already. We were given chocolate while waiting in line at Linen Chest 😀

Also, many stores have their sales spread out over a few days… Thurs-Sat/Sun. It helps reduce the crowds & makes the lives of everyone (including sales people) easier. “Go when you can” philosophy instead of a “rush to get there” one.

I was exhausted so went to bed earlier... and woke up way earlier than normal. I'm going to rest soon since I need to go shopping again today. Didn't have much luck yesterday & really need a few things. Have been too ill to go shopping for a while so I have lots to make up for ;)

You have visited the bathhouse 114 days in a row! You found 1 Referral Point in the pool!

I had to work yesterday, so no shopping for me until hubby came home last night. We did splurge and get a new, bigger flat screen TV. I was digging my heels in a little on getting one, but I know hubby's eyesight is getting worse and he really wanted something larger so he can see the screen better from across the room. (yes, he wears glasses lol).

I hope everyone who celebrates had a happy thanksgiving!

We’re in Branson as usual after thanksgiving. My wife and daughter stood in line to check out for over 1.5 hours yesterday at kohls but the got some really good deals! I sat in the hotel room and watched football most of the day.

Congrats on the new tv, Jenn. Good luck to everyone trying to get some Black Friday shopping in today!

You have visited the bathhouse 302 days in a row!

I'm glad you were able to get something to help with his vision. I've had to go large as well due to a disability. I have a projector & large white foam board that I put on the china cabinet & hide when not in use. I can hook up my computer or play movies on my Bluray. I also have speakers that play music well at low levels (most do high but have a tough time with low) that I can control bass & treble separately... a mini home theater system :D

ooo those lines sound horrid to wait in! Downtown Montreal it was around 15 min wait or less. I'm hoping to get some shopping today in also... as long as the health cooperates.

I hate shopping in general and really don't do to well in crowds for any length of time. If I really need something I try to go on the slow days with less people around, or I take a family member as a buffer and a mental anchor if I start to freak. Some days are better than others, but having a panic attack or a complete breakdown in the middle of a crowded venue is something I try to avoid like the plague

Random Event You notice a Vintage Golden Swampie Plushie on the ground, but right when you bend down to pick it up, lizard minions come out of nowhere and scurry off with it!

Your trap springs and you spray like mad as the lizard minions escape. They will not get away this time! You place Vintage Golden Swampie Plushie into your inventory.

Wishlist item :D

congrats on your wishlist snatch ;)

At least you found ways to help deal with your limits. Have you ever thought of an assistance dog? There are some trained now to help provide mental anchors.

I have panic attack challenges as well, but not frequent. Although, I do have other things that make shopping tough. I have balance issues so I use 2 walking poles or 1 pole with a personal shopping cart (serves as a walker but I can put my things in it so I don't topple over).

I can't stand long in a spot otherwise I can fall (even with the poles). If lines are too long, I find a staff member, I briefly explain and ask to be served faster. When I go clothing shopping, I get sales people to help select items, carry them & bring them to me while I'm trying out things. A size doesn't fit of something I like, they get me the other size.

I'm hypersensitive, including flashing lights & sounds. Oftentimes I know ahead the stores & if they have large flashing displays (e.g. Victoria Secret) I know where not to look. I put earplugs in my ears to help reduce the louder sounds.

I'm prone to dizzy spells & can easily get fatigued. I've collapsed several times in public... so I try to make sure I eat before & during shopping sprees. I made a mixture of orange juice, water & salt to help keep me better hydrated and tried to drink a bit every hour. That helped & I managed to get home without an incident.

Yesterday, I went to a large shopping mall I had not been to before. It's tough for me to go to new places... but I had verified the layout using maps, planned my route, knew which stores I wanted to go to and made priorities in case I couldn't go to all.

It was raining & it was just a little above freezing so winter & rain equipped. I made sure to wear comfy shoes too. I had to transfer buses... the bus stop indication system was working (which it isn't always but I would have asked the bus driver to tell me if it hadn't) and I got off at the right places. When I had to come back, I couldn't find the stop so I asked for help from a bus driver from another line.

As you can read, I do a lot of planning... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Plan B, C... impromptu plan :P I do the best that I can and if I fail at least I tried.

I managed to get a variety of towels, pjs, pants, tops, a much-needed belt, and some beauty products. Remarkably, I didn't wait in line at the cash (even though it was still Black Friday deals). One place I had about 5 people in front of me, which is less than some places I shop at on a "quiet" day. It's a huge place but I managed to follow signs to find places & go to the information booth to ask for additional directions. I liked the sales people there (good service) so I plan to go again for future purchases.

On the other hand... I could not find what I was looking for in a phone. My dad helped me out (advised by phone) and I found something online. He's my go-to tech guy ^^

I rarely spend as much as I did; however, my health had gotten pretty bad & I was unable to do much shopping the past months; so, now that I'm a little better, I took advantage.

Fri I didn't find a lot of what I needed... but I didn't let that stop me from trying elsewhere. My determination, perseverance, & planning paid off :D I'm proud I managed to accomplish what I did... but it's taken years of learning what works & doesn't to get to this point.

Random Event You notice a Trumpii on the ground, but right when you bend down to pick it up, lizard minions come out of nowhere and scurry off with it!

Your trap springs and you spray like mad as the lizard minions escape. They will not get away this time! You place Trumpii into your inventory.

You receive the following plant: Garden Carrot

And I got 40csc from the bathhouse :)

Yeah, I don't mind big crowds as long as they are orderly and friendly.

Wow, you are a wonder woman, it certainly does takes a lot of determination, perseverance, & planning, so glad it paid off, I love those good days. My challenges are no where near yours, you have given me some encouragement to step out more. I will have to make a plan for my next trip, that usually helps a lot. I need to make my holiday gift giving list and then make a solid plan soon or everybody will be getting gift cards from the local gas station again :P Stay strong.

I have something called experimental dew in my inventory. The description doesn't really tell me much. Does anyone know what it does?

First time I collapsed it public it was pretty scary. However, I've gotten used to dealing with the situation. Knowing what I need & being able to tell people helps. I don't always get the help I need (e.g. some bus drivers gave me major issues lowering the bus)... but I keep on trying. For those that give really poor service, I complain not in hopes to deal with them again but for them to be better towards anyone in need.

Plan help but also expect that plans won't always work the way you hoped. Tell yourself you're doing the best you can, it's not a competition, whatever you accomplish is that much less to do another day. Keep at it... there will be bad days and better days but at least you're trying ;) hugs
