I haven't taken my shower yet. The only thing I know I need is underwear...might have some in the dryer...if not...then I'll just use what I don't like. So not the end of the world. I have socks a plenty and clothes that are not work clothes. I need to wash work clothes too. Mine was more than just a little bit of blood. Could definitely be the cold especially if it is a dry cold. That can totally cause it. Don't have any nyquil. Have some timetime mucinex in liquid form though. And other stuff. But I should be fine with sleeping. My nose at the moment isn't bad enough to keep me awake.

YAY! I'm glad! I will shipping off March letters either tomorrow or tuesday. I need to get some more stamps. I have enough for this month but not enough for next month.

I only have 4 Stamps left... I think i need to invest in stamps! LOL this happy mail thing is making me use a pack a month!:)

lol. Yep. I think I am going to order stamps online because there's more of a selection there then in the post office. In fact...every time I go, they don't have the ones I want even though they are for sale online.

: Our community celebrates Market Day every week on Wednesdays. It's an open-air market and is widely attended. After Market, then there is the Market Day Dance in the evenings with hearty stews, breads, cheeses and cookies served by the Woodland Council Auxiliary just before the dance and available during the dance for those who just work up a hunger while dancing. My uncle Poppy is the local BrewMaster and he serves his famous brew during the dance as well as spirits and wines for those who like that sort of thing. Local musicians play traditional gigs, reels, waltzes, polkas, etc. and it is the cultural highlight of the week for of our different clans and tribes. It's like a large slumber party afterwords, as those who chose to attend the dance usually plan on sleeping over in the big inn and have their bedrolls packed with them with their market wagons and carts.

Yule is celebrated on the 25th of December with prayers, songs, readings, and of course dancing, drink, rich foods and presents. New Years Eve is a time of festivities with dancing, songs, singing, bonfires and drinking. Some of the foolish young males ( and at least one precocious little female ) dive into Misty Creek, ice or no ice.

We have adopted many of the human celebrations, such as St. Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Forth of July Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and some even celebrate All Hallows Eve...though our clan doesn't approve of scary. Culturally, the Woodland Council Ball is like Masquerade here in Subeta, and is intended as a way for all the young single males and females from all over the watershed to come together and potentially meet a life-mate. Of course, it is well chaperoned and very posh and beautiful, but it isn't limited to just the singles, many old married couples like Weldon and I attend too, just for fun. I asked Weldon to marry me shortly after our first Woodland Council Ball.

We don't normally celebrate marriages, these are announced during the Woodland Council Meetings held just before the Market Day Dance. But some families hold a dinner the night before. I was given a dinner and Weldon sang to me in front of all those in attendance for the right to take me into his bed that night as we started our life together. OMG...he sang....It was beautiful.

We don't celebrate birthdays, not for any particular reason, it's just not something that has any cultural significance for our clan.

Um...I think that's about it. It's pretty simple really. We like to eat, drink, dance, sing, laugh, flirt, fall in love, make love, and thank the Maker for what we have. Anything else is just too complicated, I think.

Thought I'd update everyone at once

1. I'm doing much better, still have a cough but getting my strength back slowly.

2. Andi goes in to have tubes put into her ears tomorrow morning.

3. Blake's test results were all negative, which is good because it means he doesn't have Celiac Disease, but bad because now they don't have a clue what is wrong.

4. No testing on Raydon yet... we are still hoping they contact us soon for an appointment.

5. My mother has been sick off and on for a couple months, she just turned 70 in January. She ended up going to the ER, the doctors ran a bunch of tests. They diagnosed her with Emphysema. She has never smoked a day in her entire life. They said she came back positive for an inherited disease, so she was predestined to get it. What is even harder about this is that I watched my father suffer with this same disease for years, it was very very hard to watch, then November 2009 he was diagnosed with cancer and January 2010 he lost his battle with both diseases. I am heart broken, I can't imagine life without my mom, I don't know if I have the strength to watch her go downhill slowly. She is truly my best friend.

6. Sometimes I feel like God has turned his back to me. Just when I think things are going to be ok... another test is presented before me, making me question my faith. I love God and I want to believe this is all his plan, but I really can't take more bad news right now. At least some good has come about and I'm trying my best to hold onto that.

HAPPY First Day of SPRING!

Happy First Day of Spring! I was up at 6:30am when it turned into Spring and now the back door is open. Though the dog doesn't want to stay on the patio. Weirdo haha.

No, hangover the next day for me. All of us had to get up early. I had to take my friend to the airport before 6am and and her hubby had to leave pretty early too.

GIRLY! oh man, TOO EARLY (to be getting up after a party night) grin. and Yah, , I was up when it turned to spring this morning, too :D but no door open for me, still in the 30's this morn. Even though it IS suppose to be in the high 60's by afternoon.

and yah, I used to love to travel in the early early morning. less traffic, and i loved to watch the sun come up as we went down the road. (and Breakfast on the road!) lol

Believe me, I didn't want to wake up that early! I told my friend, next time to get a later flight haha!

It'll be in the 80s today and for the next few days, which I don't mind, but just says that summer is right around the corner. I'm not ready for that. I just want it to be spring forever haha.

I used to be a dump cook as well but as I get older I am at a point where I want it consistently good so I go with a recipe but I tweak it based on mood, the drawback with being a dump cook is if something turned out really well when you were just adding spices, is you may not remember what you did, what you added or how much. LOL I've been hunting for a recipe for Birria, a mexican ragout even our Kitchen Manager at work just kind of looked at me when I said recipe LOL

My Elizabeth, the one thing worse than driving in snow is trying to predict how others are going to do it, like the bloody git who didn't wipe the top of his car, bet he was a young or newer driver, who really didn't understand why wiping the roof was important. I learned to drive in NY but Californians are cray. If its raining hard instead of leaving earlier they leave at the same time or later and speed all the while listening to accident bulletins on the radio, shaking their heads and thinking "That won't happen to me!"
