Busy day. Mom and I celebrated her mom's bday with some Christmas shopping and lunch. My nana loved going out to lunch. She would have been 112 today. :)
On the way home we stopped and got Maxi's ashes. They are in a pretty bag with some stitching about the rainbow bridge. They made a plaster paw print with her name on it for us and they gave us a condolense card with charm that is half a broken heart with the other half in with her ashes. Other than making me ball I thought it was very sweet of them. I want to find a picture of maxi and give them a ty card for taking good care of her all these years and include maxi's pic. Then we went to member's night preview of Wildlights at the zoo. Walked maybe 1/3 of the zoo before stopping by the lake for hot chocolate and pretzels and waiting for the illumination to actually begin. Did not walk the whole zoo because it was cold and I've not been sleeping well the last couple days, so we came home right after the light show on the lake. Will visit again to see the rest.

I'm kinda looking forward to the pawn shop but I'm figuring that if I can't be online as soon as it opens and be quick I'll not be able to buy anything I'd want from it. I'm just never quick enough. Or like with regular CW sales I"m not willing to pay what some people want even for stuff I really would like to own. :)

by "bike" do you mean a motorcycle? oh my that would be bad on icy roads unless you go 10 miles per hour lol

Hi all! Been a crazy couple of months for me with moving and starting a new job. I'm teaching social and independent living skills now, my hours are better with weekends off, and I have much less stress. Looking forward to the holidays and having more time for subeta.

The lights at the zoo sounds fun, I don't think my local zoo does anything like that.

I like videos that demonstrate what it's like to be in the shoes of other people, I just watched one for work that simulated what it is like to have hearing loss from mild to severe in case I have to help someone with it.

Awwww...that was so sweet of the vet's office to do! When I got my first dog's ashes back I got a card with her pawprint in it. She is in a nice wooden box that kind of looks like a book with the rainbow bridge poem printed on a small scroll tied to the top of it. I need to look up if the zoo out here will do something with lights...That would be awesome to see!

Oooo...that one sounds interesting! Would be scary to go from hearing, to non-hearing, though.

How does everyone like the fireside items? Some of them are pretty nice. I've got nearly everything (have many rreign items from previous years saved to burn) except for a couple minions and wearables and rreign beanbags and of course the books.

I've got extras in my extras shop of course in case y'all need anything.

If I remember I'll try to get some pictures of the zoo next time. I forgot my camera last time and I don't have a phone that takes pictures.

as is the norm for me, I get the older items. I have gotten some of the new stickers but haven't seen the books that I really would like to have. I did get a few of the new clothing, (see ha) but that's really not exciting. oh well

we are having our Thanksgiving dinner today so I best be getting other stuff done.

Hi all! I can't wait for Thanksgiving, mostly because I'm super busy until then. My friend's organization is giving away turkey dinners (turkey, sides and other groceries) to 250 families at a local elementary school so I went straight over after work to help bag them up. And at my workplace, we're cooking a Thanksgiving meal on Weds for our clients who live in group homes so lots of prep and decorating going on there. It's been sorta weird yet fun to start a job right before a holiday.

I was happy to get a new blob kitty item for my gallery, and I have all the beanbags. I still need to turn in food to get the books from Fantine.

Hello, sweetlings. I have been meh lately. Been burning rreigns and planning my subjects sale purchases.

Loving the fireside items

Oh black friday sales started here and darnit i just have 40 csc (not buying with real money) :(

Anyway nighshifts are over and back to normal routine. The weather is not being nice, rain, dark and wet :(

Morning to all. I got a couple of books and a beanbag from the Black Friday sale. someone said that Fantine gives out books? hmmm, haven't gotten any of those yet. :( and everyone knows I'm crazy about books for my pet. lol

wow, congrats :) I gave her 55 pumpkins so far and I've only gotten food lol

thanks, but i already had those items last year. I wish there where new items. I had 30 pumpkins to give and it was nice not just to get food.

well I think I got some new food but will have to check. gotta run for now though. talk to you tomorrow

Just wanted to drop in and wish everyone a Happy Turkey Day tomorrow. I'll probably be around then b/c I have absolutely nothing else to do (and no one to cook for) so it will be an R&R day for me.

I've been busy with this end of semester... And now I'm sick in bed! But I must get better by the end of the week because I have seminars to present and tests to do next week. So, no pressure there. lol

So, I'm around, just not later in the day as I would've thought. I've been working w/ a hateful little troll for 6mths now and I can manage pretty well, but the past couple weeks it just seems like she was going into overdrive and I had to constantly defend myself. Monday, she came over to my cube and went off on me (everyone in the office at the time) over an email that I had questioned her about and asked for a training session. Needless to say, it triggered my anxiety. To me it seems like she is more in a position of power, even though she's not a supervisor or anything, and that's what had really thrown me in to a mental state that made that illness develop into an everyday struggle. Tuesday, when I got to work from home for the first time in 6mths (takes that long when you move to a new position) and even though I wasn't around her, I was extremely anxious. It's a terrible feeling. I called early that day and made an appt for Wednesday for my Dr. to help w/ the issue. (Already on a daily med called Effexor - low dose - and occasional Xanax). After talking to her a few minutes she wanted to hear my chest and breathing and told me I needed to take at least half of one of my Xanax immediately, which she's not really an advocate of but b/c the symptoms had not stopped since Monday, she understood that it was more than just an occasional attack, which the effexor is actually supposed to help prevent and for the most part, it has. I had to explain, via email since it's easier, to my supervisor (the one that me and my co-worker has pulled pranks on and done funny stuff to his car) that my situation is real and that day when I told him I was near a full blown attack was very real and very serious. That part went well and I know and feel that he will do whatever he can to protect my well being.

Anyway - my effexor dosage was upped, twice the dosage I was taking. Woke up around midnight feeling like I was going to puke, and jittery all over. Decided on some coffee since it usually calms my stomach and contrary to what you would think, it didn't make the jittery feeling intensify but it did settle my stomach.. mostly. So I'm awake, watching documentaries and wishing I had s/one around to talk to.
