I actually noticed we had a birthday today. was born today.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. It was a very nice day. My daughter flew in from Hawaii, so that was wonderful, and I got to see the rest of my family too. The weater cooperated and we had a few sprinkles, and it was in the 70's. Loved it! My son fixed my A/C so that just topped an all around great day. :)

I would have been quite content with being with everyone and my favorite meal. But I also got a beautiful custom framed signed print of my favorite painting by my favorite artist Boris Vallejo from my daughter as well as several things on my Amazon wish list. I didn't expect the Amazon stuff, so that was a really nice surprise, but I did know about the print. I went through hundreds of paintings and had a hard time narrowing it down to four in order of preference, but these I have loved for decades. I wasn't sure what was available as prints, but Caryn was able to get my . So excited! She said she was not going to trust the mail with it and she wanted to see everyone, so it was a great reason to fly it in herself. My son Cory took pics after I hung it in my office, and I'll post them when he sends them to me.

What a wonderful thing to have your daughter fly in and have your whole family with you for your birthday! Love the print. The wings are magnificent and the little detail on her foot is cool. I envy you the storage on your desk. I'd like to have that top part on mine, I just have some cubbies.

Yes, it was! I love my desk too. I think it's beautiful. Can't believe the bank was just throwing it out. Rox was at the right place at the right time and I got a new desk and hutch. :)

Morning everyone. It's a cool day here. Getting ready to head out and do the stuff I couldn't do yesterday since taking hubby to kidney doc. Hubby hasn't changed and that's a good thing since his kidneys haven't gone down in function.
