Hi all, praying all who were affected by Florence and okay.
It's a scary situation I know.
Nothing really new with me but I did want to post to let you all know I'm thinking of you.

Am praying with slippy for all affected by Florence and for those in MA affected yesterday by the Gas explosion.
oh my, I did hear about that from someone else but all the news talked about here was Florence so I had forgotten it. Thank you for reminding me about it.

So horrible to see the storm news. I am far away in Europe but I am still watching it and I hope everyone is safe
Being in MA it was all over the news for hours and FB. Knew you would pray for them as well.
was it real bad? I still haven't heard anything on the news yet but I will certainly pray for the people.
wow seems like everyone heard about it. btw, love your ha

- The storm is currently sitting with its center along the NC coast (around Wilmington last I checked). It's been raining on the coast for a while now, dumping lots of water. They say the impacts from the wind are going to be waaay less than they originally thought, but the flooding could be catastrophic because the storm is moving extremely slow and will just be sitting and spinning for a while they think.
,
mega thanks for the info and link

Hope that storm finds you safe and protected and leaves you be.
- I am in NC, but I wouldn't say I'm in the middle of it. We've been sitting at the edge of all of the rain for most of the day. We certainly will get more rain overnight and into the morning, but the winds and whatnot won't affect us much, since we fairly inland (45 mins west of Raleigh). :D
Oh good. Glad you aren't right there. Is it flooding where you are? Stay safe. :)
I feel for everyone affected by the hurricane and don't wish any ill upon them, but I am so happy to get rain from it for a while now. Has been so nice and fairly cool. Really wonderful this time of year for us.
yep it's news here. Thanks!
i am so glad we don't have those kinds of storms here. Sounds horrible
Good Morning All :D Florence is still spinning right around us, but for the most part we are getting as much rain as they originally thought. They are saying it might pick up for us this evening and into tomorrow, but only time will tell. I'm just thankful to have power and water and am enjoying the downtime.
- The storms can be pretty bad, but usually they don't come this far inland and cause trouble, so we don't worry about them too much. They're usually just a coastal hazard.
- Where I am, we aren't really getting too much rain so far, so not much flooding. I do think a county or two over though they are getting decent amounts of flooding. I know eastern parts of the state are really struggling, but we just must be far enough inland that we're doing okay.
thanks for the info :) I hope it goes away fast.

Been questing and hanging out in discord but other than that it's been dreary here. Storm missed us at it's strongest point, headed for Iratze and her family, but we'll catch it on the way out when it turns north and heads back east before getting kicked on out. Late Monday into Tuesday. Shouldn't be too bad by that time.
Was so sad to see that people have died from the hurricane. Hoping there are no more lives lost
Today we've seen the sun for the first time since our drive here a week and a half ago. Was beautiful. Sat outside and read for an hour and a half and just enjoyed the 77 degrees and sunshine and breeze. More humid tomorrow but should still be nice before clouds return. Then Thursday is supposed to be like today and mom and I will celebrate her birthday (wihich was yesterday) and go to Cape May for the day.
That gas explosion is scary. Could happen anywhere. Was surprised there weren't more fatalities. Very sad about the 18 year old who died.
Jeez. Glad she could fix it! I'd be clueless and useless to do any of that.
“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin
"Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the orphan." - Isaiah 10:1-2
Morning to all. Been super busy.
Glad those of you close to the hurricane mess are safe.
I'm just getting hubby ready for his colonscopy tomorrow. Yeah I probably spelled that wrong, sorry about that.
Is everyone "bopping" along? lol, I can do the first three but not the last one.
Have a great day all.
