Back to work for me after 3 weeks of vacation. I am starting with a swingshift today and tomorrow and then 1 nightshift and then 3 days off :)

Last very hot day here (so they say), 36 degrees celcius. Tomorrow will be cooler and we will be getting rain and will cool down more till around 24 degrees celcius. I need the cooler weather this heath was no fun. And the trees and plants need the rain, so dry here.

I pray for rain for both of us :( This much heat sucks! We're told next week we are set to get roughly what you are at right now, and I can't wait for that (still too hot, but I can't be picky at this point xD).

Hot here though I know not as hot as a lot of you! Storms later and for nearly every day for the next week. Hoping the heat breaks for us all very soon. Would love to have an actual autumn instead of summer right into winter.

Been getting some stuff done around the house or about what needs to get done around the house. We've been out pricing sinks and toilets. We defrosted the freezer we keep in the garage, it's from the 1970s so still needs defrosting, so spent some time standing with the blowdryer deicing it. lol

Meant to tell y'all a story from my time at my brother's. We had dinner out one night and at the booth we sat at my feet didn't touch the floor. I'm not super short, I'm 5'4'', so it was super surprising to not be able to do anything but reach the floor with my toes. I mentioned it to out server and she brought me a booster seat for my feet. lol She slid it under the table and I rested my feet on it and it was perfect height when I had me feet on the seat. And here I was thinking I was long beyond the need of a booster seat. xD

Glad you had a good vacation! Nice that you get a couple days back and then a few days off right away. Always so hard to get back into the swing of things after time off.

Glad y'all have a few days without the kids to get settled in. School starts here next week which is the earliest yet. When we moved here it still started after labor day and it's only the last several years they have been making it earlier and earlier. Hope you get the rain you need. Wish we would get rain and not storms. Wish we could all do a rain dance for California and other wildfire strictened areas too!

Today is my husbands birthday. No special plans as we don't celebrate birthdays around here. lol

Hi all. So glad this week is supposed to be 90's with a few (maybe possibly oh I hope so!) 80's and a good chance for rain. Hurray!

lol About the booster seat! I'm 5'10" so never a problem for me. Years ago my mother had a tall toilet put in for me. When I saw it I thought "Wow that really is a throne!" lol But it is amazing for my knees. One time right after it was installed Rox was talking to me in my bedroom, and she had to go. She went in my bathroom and left the door open to keep talking. Not unusual for we have been friends 33 years now. Anyway, we both laughed when her feet didn't reach the floor. It was the same with my car. I had the seat pretty far back to drive, and she always had to move it up. Sometimes she would forget to put it back and when I tried to get in I would be all scrunched up and frantically reaching for the lever. lol

Glad you feel better. Happy Birthday to your husband! You don't do anything for birthdays? We each get whatever meal and kind of cake we want, or banana pudding or brownies - whatever. It's nice.

i did, we always get 3 weeks in summer.

i was glad to have a few days off when i cam back from prague. ANd yesterday i was back in work mode within the hour i was at work.

we spoil each other all year so no point in it lol.

Morning to everyone

well weather man was wrong again lol. we only got a sprinkle of rain but I'm grateful for that much.
doing some more laundry today since I feel a little better. might as well get it done and out of the way.

I've been sick since Sunday. I thought I was feeling better and now my asthma is irritated again as am I.

Brian and I are both feeling horrible. Added to that is the fact that the kitchen needs cleaning and there are areas in the house that need sweeping. Plus the fact our bedroom is now a danger zone due to the fact that there is mildew growing and the leak might not have been fixed. We've been sleeping on couches for around a week now.

I remember starting school after labor day, too, until we moved out here. We've been getting rain and wind! I like the rain part x) California definitely needs a rain dance :(

we finally got the rain and let me tell you, it stormed and wow! lost sat and comp for a while. but I'm still so thankful for the rain.


I'm not a coffee drinker. never did like the taste. but I am glad your feeling better.

So i had a hospital appointment today. Long story short.... Been busy for more then a year and i now finally can tell as i had a final talk with the doctors, etc. As most of you know i am struggeling with my weight and i went and got help. I am now getting a mini gastric bypass. No operation date yet as there is a waithing list but we (doc and me) exspect somewhere end of the year (november).
