Went for 3rd visit w/therapist for dizziness. She gave me exercises to do that really make me dizzy! Ugh. But she said with my nerve damage they will help re-route my brain and eventually I won't be dizzy. Or something like that. lol Should have had her write down that and what I have besides the crystals. I ask her and promptly forget the answer. Hate this short term memory loss...

Arrived in NJ just before dinner time. Drive was fine, excepting for my headache and many of the truck drivers not being able to keep their rigs in their own lanes. Got cable and internet set up.
The roof leaked while we were gone. A pretty good amount. Some soda exploded in the refrigerator - plumber said we had some bad storms and lost power over the winter so with no heat in the house they likely froze and eploded. Will be cleaning the refrigerator later today.

that must be frustrating - having to make yourself dizzy on purpose to try and stop yourself getting dizzy. I sure hope it works!

Glad you arrived ok but yuck about fridge and oh no about roof! Is that still under warranty? Seems like you had the roof fixed last year?

lol warranty Can't get anyone to stand by their work. First guy "sold" his business and new owners just kept saying they'd come and never showed up. Second guy also never showed up. If we ever had a warranty with the actual roof from the manufacturer I don't know. Don't even know if they used the stuff they told us they would.

What a pita! Now I remember tho that you had said you had all kinds of problems with this. Now you have to try all over again to find someone hopefully reputable to fix it. Here's hoping that you can do it this time! What about something like Angie's List or try the Better Business Bureau? Maybe just a carpenter or handyman instead of an actual roofer or roofing company? Wishing you luck. :)

Morning all. Been busy this week, mostly w/ outdoor stuff which really got to my neck. Dad was back in the hospital. They finally diagnosed him w/ congestive heart failure.
Have not been in the best of moods this week.

I can't believe how hard it is for you to find a reputable and affordable person to do a little bit of work on the roof. That's just ridiculous.

They should definitely give you a paper w/ the instructions on your exercises to do. S/times doctors can give too much information at once but they usually give you papers explaining stuff. Hope the exercises help in the long term.

How did things turn out w/ the bill?

well after the storm Wednesday night, I got home from school on Thursday to discover the neighbors shed in my back yard. It tore up the fence so waiting on insurance lady to get here now. The neighbors house is vacant so had to call accessor to find out who owned it. They have no phone so had to mail them note. sigh. Then went to a friends funeral, came home to relax but grandsons came to spend a couple of nights. So yep, I'm very tired.

I hope all is well with everyone else.

Oh no! At my former house my shed got blown into the neighbor's yard. Luckily no damage we weren't able to fix ourselves. But it sounds like you will have a lot of trouble getting someone from that house to do anything. But if your insurance fixes it then maybe it will be up to them to find the owner and sue them. Then at least you don't have to deal with it unless your rates go up. Hate that. Best of luck.

So awful about your father. My friend had that and had a quintuple bypass (which I had never heard of but my Mom said she had and it was rare) and he lived ten more years. Best wishes for your Dad. Hugs. Oh and yes she did give me written instructions which are helping some but we'll see.

The bill passed, but it's not exactly what was being fought for. All of our representatives that met with the teachers and said "We will back you! We've got you guys! Don't worry!" voted AGAINST education. Nothing but typical lying politicians. One Senator even stood on our stage at a district meeting and said she was proud to represent us. I'd like to call a massive BS on that one. Names were taken down and once re-election comes up, not a single one will get a vote from anyone at the schools. Some other bad news is I can't use sick time and lost two days worth of pay for reasons that don't make a lick of sense, but someone is supposed to be working on a way to allow us to earn our hours back. Good news, though, is that the bill was worded vaguely enough that teachers are going to the Board and asking that the money the district gets be spread out equally between teachers AND support staff! So yay! Potential raise! ^_^ It'll be small, but I won't complain - a raise is a raise.

Happy liberation day from here in holland. Today in 1945 we where liberated from the Germans. So all day festivities and music in town. And crap for me as i am having eveningshifts so no festivaties for me :(

Still no news about my couch. Been calling for 2 days and no one knows where it is, i got a bit mad yesterday. Seems now someone is in charge and will look into it and promised me she would call me back on monday.

Insurance will pay for half of the damage, we will have to pay for the other half. I doubt that the neighbors will do anything and it's not worth suing over. Anyway, onward and upward I always say.


well that' awful how you have been treated over a couch. I think I would talk to a lawyer and see what can be done.

That does sound quite typical, and really sucks for the loss of pay. Even though it seemed there were a lot of people who tried to do s/thing about it, there still seems to have been very little impact and that's really disappointing.

He got a replacement valve 10yrs ago.

They were going to send him home on Friday after they got the fluid cleared from around his heart and lungs, but had him walk around and he got chest pains again. Went in w/ a scope and found that the second stint they did (same spot) was being rejected by his body so they removed it and did the balloon thing.

Since the new changes to the forums, I can't get on via my phone using Chrome or on my Fire tab using Silk browser. Both of them look identical in how the pages get distorted. I don't see anyone else complaining, although I really haven't been hanging around too much since it would mean being on my laptop even more than I already am for work.

What a beautiful day today. Hubby getting lab work done as I type and then I have a cardio check up this afternoon. guess no grocery shopping today lol.
