Just quickly popping in before I rush off. Helping at the food pantry yesterday was chaotic as usual, but everyone was in good spirits with lots of hugging going on. As usual I tried to duck out of pictures, but they managed to snag one of me xD was super tired this morning, but I'm helping out again today so I had to roll myself out of bed. Hoping to hit the library first since I'm going right by it, there's a couple new books I need to read.

For the past two days, I've woken up like 5-10 minutes before my alarm. Why body, why?! I need those extra minutes.

glad you're getting it down, with the A1C my mom hovers around 7 mostly because she loves iced coffee with sugar and flavored syrup too much. Her best friend is worse, her daily sugar levels are over 300-400.

I can't believe the big day is almost here! I'm flying home on Saturday. Has everyone gotten their shopping done? I've been out at the shops the last few days for random things and woo is it busy!

Also been Luminaire shopping on here and Christmas shopping for my family. Got a little bit of a late start on all of that, lol. Just been a little stressed with the end of the semester and talking to a realtor and a lender about the possibility of getting some land to later put a manufactured home onto. Just trying to get some numbers to see if it is doable this year, or put it off until later. We shall see!

Let me know how the movie is. I've been wondering if I would like it or not since I have never played the games. I'd love to know what you think!

Hi all. Went to a Christmas show last night for the Interfaith Sanctuary in town. Nice show good feels all around. My favorite group was probably the Moody Jews. It was a concert event I should say. The fog was pretty scary on the freeway on the way home, but we made it. The charity also raised quite a bit of money so I am super glad about that. It helps the homeless both with having someplace to stay and also in steps to get out of that situation. Happy Solstice one day late to those who celebrate or care about it.

Never had the money for all the stuff (mixers, pans, etc) and never had much counter space in any place I've lived in so I just never felt inclined to mess w/ it. aww thank you bb <3 ..not sure how i ended up all galactic, well yes i guess i do, cause i was in there looking for the duckie pj's cf gave us to do a ha (as i'd already had a pr so they are buried in there s/where) but anyway i came across the kimono lol .. :P i can doze off here while doing quests so i certainly can while looking thru tons of pics..i really need to delete about half of them lol ..my ex had a huge sweet tooth, so did michael, so yeah i got used to baking lots of cookies and cakes...not so much on the counter space but definitely took up the whole stove top and table..really pissed me off as he was one of those people who could eat a house full of sweets and it not show, me on the other hand..whole different story lol ..

well I spent another night in the hospital. after my first test yesterday I started having some chest pains so they wanted to keep me overnight for observation. so glad to be home. :)

Busy busy. Finished putting bows on presents and cleaning up my space some time after 1am. We're going out to dinner today and were going to see the zoo lights but now it's supposed to rain :( so there are some lights in a park you drive through and we might do that as well as look at lights locally. Tomorrow we'll celebrate Christmas because my brother will have to drive home on Sunday.

For some reason the treats turned out a little dry. I don't understand it because I made it the same way last year. Next year I'm using more marshmallows (which the recipe now calls for - but I didn't read that before I made them this year) and less chocolate because it over powers the treats (or did this year).

The movie was amazing! I loved it! ^_^ My sister and I were totally fangirling when we left, lol. I want to go see it again xP We even saw it in 3D. It is a movie that will probably be more enjoyed by those who have played the games, but still. I think a lot of the critics are being a bit harsh on it. So yeah...when the movie comes out on DVD, I am so getting it!

The one thing I do wish is that it wasn't PG-13. All the games are rated M, they could have done an R rated film. That is really my only complaint, lol.

How I feel when I fall off the roller coaster of life...and it just keeps on moving without me, running to catch up with it.

Slept in late today, my body is protesting the past 2 days hauling around boxes of fruits & veggies at the food pantry. I'm so glad we only do this once a month, it's a lot of work. We got a big donation of toys (barbies, legos, star wars stuff, playdoh, puzzles, etc) which was awesome, the kids were so excited! Today I'm just relaxing, but tomorrow I'll probably go out to get some stuff to put in stockings (candy & scratchcards, lol).

Glad they didn't keep you in for long, hope you get some rest at home.

I remember having a cookie recipe that I always followed, and one year it just completely failed to firm up. No clue what went wrong but I haven't made it in many years now, maybe I should try to find it. Hope you get to enjoy some lights despite the uncooperative weather!

We did end up going to see the zoo lights. Saw a little less than last time but mom didn't dress warmly enough and she was pretty cold. She toughed it out pretty good. And it started to rain right after we turned in the wheelchair and started to head for the exit. It was a hard walk for mom but she did good and we got to the car before it was raining too hard. We stopped back at home (we live maybe 2 to 3 miles from the zoo) so mom could warm up and fix her hair (she didn't have a hood on her coat) and then went out to dinner. Drove to look at a few streets of lights on the way home from dinner before calling it a night.

Watched The Snowman and The Snowman and the Snow dog and then the end of Frozen then my brother headed back to his hotel.

Got to do some holiday dinner shopping today - thankfully, not too much - and then I get to be lazy. Mostly. Need to clean the kitchen, which is a disorganized disaster (, get over here) and then set the tv up we all got my daughter for Xmas. She won't be back until I pick her up tomorrow from her dads.

It'll be a relatively quiet and slow paced weekend for me. Don't have a bunch of people to go see or that's coming over so it's not a huge endeavor for me.

J - which zoo did you go to? We have a decent sized park around that has lights you can drive under and around to look at. Haven't been in years but it's still beautiful, from what I remember. Lights always give me such cheer during these dreary, cloudy and cold days so I'll definitely have mine up for awhile. Does your mom ever help you calm down on the road when you get aggravated at people? lol I don't know what made me think of it but I know you always drive w/ her and you seem very much like me when it comes to driving (as in GTFO of my way!). :P If I see people acting absurd and my daughter is in the car, I still roll down my window on occasion and yell at them. She gets so embarrassed but I point out to her what they do and that she's gotta watch out for idiots like that. I really try to be a more patient driver but it's really hard when it's plain to see that the only thing they're focused on is themselves and no one else on the road matters. (Same thing in the store... I don't hesitate to say shit of people are standing in the middle of the aisle, doing nothing but talking on the phone or to s/one else.) RUDE.

The funniest part about that gif was how the bike continued on and on and how he just kept going. I think that's what some of us do, even when we think we're ready to give up, we keep running (or treading water). Noticed anything astrologically, lately? Been having a LOT of crazy dreams this month. I know it's relatively usual for a Piscean, but it's been more frequent.
Ex. - the other night, I was dreaming about things that were after us (oh boy have I had some goodies that are burned in my memory of "things" coming after us) and this time it was like a skeletal type creature - very similar to the movie Spectral, which you've gotta watch - and I was in a car, holding still, thinking it would pass me by. But it opened the door and when it was right there I grabbed it real fast and woke myself up grabbing my pillow from a raised up on my stomach position. :O SHEESH! lol It didn't scare me, and there's really only a few that do but it's just the vividness of the dreams I have. I joined you in not only having a drink, but I went ka-put as well. :P Had 2 drinks and barely made it through that second one before I was ready for bed. But I had also woken up at 2:30 the previous night, w/ that dream, and then couldn't go back to sleep b/c Cotton was licking herself and she makes a crazy sound that was nerve-wracking and I just couldn't find peace again. 😞
