Not with this guy. He had 91k health and took a good 25 mins for me to grind away at his health. To have lost then would have been devastating

Welp, that cements it for now - two more attempts, I get that bastard down to about 20k health and he just keeps hitting too hard by that point. Doesn't help that he healed himself up 10k over three turns. The last attempt I had him down to 18k when he killed me, and he dealt upwards of 14k damage in the final turns - so much for RotL and PQ doing anything meaningful. On the one hand, this means that I still have a foe to glare down for down the road. On the other, it is quite the frustration, but of course, this is the bloody Baenwurath I'm trying to conquer. I just don't have the right stuff for a protracted siege at this time, but mark my words, Baen, I shall fly a dragon down your throat one day with all the wrath of Aegon the Conqueror upon Harrenhal...

The castle is the worst of the all but it looks like you managed a couple of wins so far? That's not bad at all! I think @ chibois was at the high end of T12 when he got 10 wins?

If I can beat Prakherash 5 times without too much difficulty then you can definitely do it! His health is high, but he doesn't hit that hard as long as you are blocking light and physical. DGR and AU made him go down a lot easier, but you can also use the ether instead of AU.

No, I only have one win. Almost every time that I have him down to around 20k health he starts to hit me like a ****ing truck every turn afterward and I just can't out heal. If I kept at this for a long while I could possibly pull out another win and scrape my way toward 5, as I had the bastard down to 1500 health a few attempts ago but that was the first out of several tries to get so low, and I'm getting so volatile staring these losses in the face that I can't sit here and endure repeated attempts like I have with other foes. Prak had his gimmicks, sure, including such vast health, but he never hit me like Baenwurath has been.

I may just have the wrong setup. But I don't have the patience for this, and it stopped being a fun a while back. I'm just going to bow my head and concede that the better road for my sanity is to put Baenwurath out of my mind until I have better stats.

Yeah the castle is nasty and he only gets stronger the longer the battle goes on. If you could blast some of his permanent weapons, that would probably help. Fire, Earth and physical look like the best things to block. A ton of cobalts or sancturia exodin scrolls (depending on your main weapons) and fatal fire scrolls look like they would be super helpful.

I'll try that down the road when I can update my armory/scroll list again. I'd read about Baenwurath being a monster but experiencing it first hand... ugh.

On the bright side I landed an 11k crit against the Crawbeast in round 28 of BQ, and he was also the foe for the last two levels, so I am feeling a little bit better.

Ugh, crawbeast is public enemy for me. He was the only thing standing between me and my OC scroll. My pet was T11 at the time he came back and I was determined to win that scroll but battles with him were almost impossible because he would heal for more than I could damage him. Now I pummel him into the ground and it feels so good lol.

Tell me a bit about Prakherash, I know its either freaking hard or impossible to freeze him and I think Blessings were disabled, should I just load weapons with critical hit crystals? I was going to take HMC out of mothballs and use that to block light. What is DGR?

Prak can be frozen and has no blessings to protect him from freezing. I would actually recommend getting all your freezing scrolls out for him. The unstable fairy scroll was my lifesaver.

As for weapons, he does a lot of light, physical and dark. I froze him first turn, then double blasted and used my mecha when he was frozen again to boost strength, defense and speed. All blessings are disabled against him so I modded DGR and AU with crit hits and singed baguettes. DGR = dark goddess rod. HMC is good for light blocking, but I don't think it has a heal on it? You could use the ether instead of AU.

see? That challenger is so out of my league I can't even imagine, but I do understand that you would have been devastated after all that time.

Thanks That's the one thing that worries me, HMC doesn't heal but Ocean Currents is my staple in fights once the freeze scrolls are gone will also tack on a CE scroll or two, had to get rid of 3 to free up the AP for The Void.. LOL Modifying gets expensive since you normally have to re-mod weapons with each new opponent

sigh Way I figure it, in a month and a half of just BQ's Kilroy should hit T13, and all of that sweet xp is all going into his defense.

The present stat cap is 35k right? I'm considering a final build for Kilroy of 12/13/5/5 in hp/strength/defense/speed, in fitting with his growth over the years. That's a long way off yet but I'm wondering if I should alter the ratio of hp/strength? Favor more of one over the other?

Yup, that's the same way for me haha. I missed him (and the whole Islander War) originally and when he started turning up in BQs, he beat me like a drum in a Van Halen concert. When he came back for the plot last year it took a lot of effort to get just the five wins in. Now days Kilroy is stringing him up to dry.
