Haha I get what you mean about it all being "Greek" :D You got the right idea! Freeze the Slyph when you can. The bad thing about the curl is it has no block unless it freezes. The Slyph does a lot of light and then physical, followed by water and maybe some dark or wind (I can't remember which but they are not significant ). Do you have a turkey quill? That will heal your pet for around 12% on average and has a physical block. You could also use an item hunter bomb for when he's frozen for a lot of damage. I would also blast his stuff with a recycle blaster and soma tablets if you have them.

Cobalt scrolls are good, but do no damage. Do you have the aftershocks scroll or feather explosion? Those will help block, heal and do more damage.

Congrats on your win! Maybe? I'm not sure what you're pet's stats are but that guy also has healing disabled, which makes things a little more difficult.

My battle pet is just a baby! He's Tier 10, but I asked for set advice years ago for him and I haven't changed any weapons at all since then so he's probably long over due for some new stuff!...maybe not though because I also have taken a few hiatuses along the way...either way I'd LIKE to update some stuff!

and no, not turkey quill. i used phoenix quill for the major healing, i do have reborn wand of doom, but i never get to use it, because i'm always trying to freeze the guy with the curl. but i like the idea of having something that also helps to block.

OOOO ITEM HUNTER BOMB!! YES!!! i have that, will trade that out. mmmm, I also use shinwas shard to try to block him, at least when i get down to that low Hp.

and yes! i think i do have aftershocks.... but not feather explosion...

Oh yes some upgrades required x.x I'm not sure what your budget is but the T10 stuff can be expensive. Scaling stuff like the Minotaur knocker, comet flash, prodigy staff and sierrac flail are nice affordable options for earth, dark, fire and water block you can use now and get better when your pet gets stronger. The paint brush blades will be great once you hit T11.

I like the turkey quill a lot for T7. It's affordable, infinite use and does a decent amount of damage. Definitely use the aftershocks scroll. If you go to your scroll library in the battle coliseum you can add it to your default scroll set. Hmmmm I don't know how the reborn wand freeze rate compares with the ocean curl freeze rate, but it might be worth trying the wand instead just because that heals you too and can freeze your opponent. Make sure you mod with parched baguettes or blessed armor crystals as I believe he can freeze you.

Yeah all of my pets are trained super unevenly because of the Job Agency and then just not caring enough about battling before x____X I'm going on a stat booster splurge once I hit my sP goal again to hopefully make some adjustments to all that ;u;

So I need some help deciding what to do with my stash of tomes and boosters. I don't know who to boost.

Do I boost:

Tier: 13 Rank: 88 (10,668 away from cap)

Endsong Level: 1688 Health: 4180 / 4180 Strength: 4222 Defense: 3780 Speed: 2865 Intelligence: 2050

Tier: 12 Rank: 279

(6953 stats away from tier 13)

Shadax

Level: 644 Health: 1560 / 1609 Strength: 1638 Defense: 1610 Speed: 1607 Intelligence: 480

(1536 away from tier 11 and will be my new battler)

I am torn as to what to do. I have 123 tomes to use, plus all of the boosters I got at Lumi. I would love what you all think and maybe it will help me out a bit.

I am leaning towards my tier 10 to get her closer to tier 11. But, ahhh...I don't know.

I vote for either Shadax or Endsong.

I would boost shadax or smokely. Reason being: boost smokely to cap him and not have to worry about boosting him anymore. I wouldn't boost endsong because once he is T13 the only fast way to gain stats is through boosters. That leaves shadax who will be a lot more effective against event challengers at T11 and can still gain the most from BQ exp
