What about having [yet]another item to wear like the hypno-monocle and anti snow shield, thats costs sp, say 10 million sp so everyone can eventually buy it, and when you wear it in the zapper, it knows to avoid repeats? maybe one use only though, that would have to be made clear.

at one time I would have been against this, but it's pretty discouraging how many duplicates I've gotten. any way to reduce the chance of a duplicate I would support now.

I don't really see too much reason to be against it, other than it defeats the purpose of it being random. But it really isn't fun to get the same skin like 10 times while missing out on one that you really want and would actually use.

It's not even like you can sell the skins or anything, it's just a little something for you to use if you want.

I am usually against things that make the rng obsolete, but since I'm trying to collect skins, the duplicates are just no fun :p I just got a new one though and feel very good about it.

Well I don't think most people are even asking for handouts, I know quite a few who would be okay with an option of reduced chances of getting a repeat even it was kind of expensive. Like the regular option to get a guaranteed experiment for your pet (although there is still a random factor there). It could be somewhat of an sP/wiz token sink, at least until people get all of their skins.

I'm not complaining too much, since I'm only missing like 5 zapper skins now. But I would be willing to pay a bit extra just to finish off my collection.

I want to clarify that I'm not against this suggestion though. I'd prefer just an overall weight towards ones you don't have or a more expensive option to get a random one you don't have as opposed to pick the one you want, but at this point I wouldn't really mind anything,

But paying extra for a random one you don't have wouldn't be so bad, especially if it's expensive. Like at least 2,000 wiz tokens maybe?

I did some math and if you did a max of 8 zaps a day for 15 days (usually about how long Morostide lasts), that's 6,000 wiz tokens spent on zapping. So 2k for a guaranteed one you don't have (even if it's not the one you want) wouldn't be too bad I think.

1-2k I wouldn't mind. I think it'd be worth it. I don't even use the skins but I like collecting them

Honestly, I don't really know how many wiz tokens the average person even has. I usually hoard mine for no real reason until the price goes up, and then I'll sell some. It's not too difficult to accumulate a bunch just by doing wizard quests every day.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but I support a way to reduce the chance of duplicates. I really wanted the Experiment 2795 skin, however I'm getting a lot of repeats. It especially sucks because I already have very few skins, to the point that I feel something is skewed considering the lack of variety I'm getting.

The zapper is only available for a short time, every few hours, once a year. I agree with eliminating or greatly decreasing the chances of duplicates somehow (maybe a wearable talisman or paying extra tokens). That way it's still random but less frustrating. I know a few users have given up zapping because of all the repeats.

To me, "persistence" doesn't really apply to luck/chance games (which I consider the zapper). That's like telling someone they're guaranteed to win the lottery if they are persistent. lol

I've been zapping constantly since Morostide started, and I have YET to get any of the new skins. I constantly get duplicates. It's infuriating.

Edit// I bought 12 waivers as well, and only got 2 new skins, both really old. Seriously?

I zap an average of six times a day, one day 7 one day 4, and I still can't get the one skin I want. At this point all I am is frustrated.

Managed to get a few new skins, but now I only seem to be getting repeats. Unless something's done for the last few days to give us a better chance at new skins, I'm not wasting any more tokens on this.

I don't expect getting new skins to be easy, but when I've got so few left to unlock, the chances of getting a new skin are so slim I feel like it's not worth it. It's disappointing enough when I don't get the skin I hoped for, but it's worse when I get a skin I've already zapped 5+ times over the course of this event. X_X

If I could pay a larger fee to get a skin of my choice, I'd do it. Even if we were only allowed to do it ONCE for this year's event. The suggested 1k in tokens sounds reasonable. Maybe add a longer wait between zaps because guaranteeing a specific skin took up so much energy for Euclid to calibrate the zapper just right?

I'm all for something to lessen or remove getting duplicates. Like Marlboro I only need a few skins to have them all but out of those I really just want one.

Yesterday I got the pumpkin skin 3 times in a row and then scaley twice. It made zapping no fun at all. Not only repeats of what I have already but repeats of the same over and over.

I've got really discouraged now. Why keep this current zapping system when all it does is create frustration for an increasing number of players?

I managed to get a 2nd skin off my want list and I'm down to 6 missing in total, 3 of which are my top wants and skins I've been hoping to get since day one.

I've managed to complete most of the zapper skins "collection" but that's really, really not what I cared about this year. I just wanted , which I had for over a year, and a few other skins I'd actually use. Please adjust the odds or give us a way to pay for a zap of a random skin we're missing, a random skin from a chosen set, anything. Please.

Also, something seriously does seem up with the skins. I've gotten SO MANY times. At least 5. Nacht and Red Snake have been really common too. Its driving me crazy. This isn't fun. This is a frustrating waste.

I had another go when I came on this morning and got yet another repeat. That's it. I'm giving up because I can think of better uses for my Wizard tokens.

We really do need a new system where we have better chances of getting new skins.
