Just a quick question.
My subscription renewed right before the most recent GA extension. I'd never really thought about the fact that my renewal continuing to process on the same day each month meant I was losing that bonus time. Should I still file a ticket for it?
We're working on resolving this, but for now go ahead and make a ticket!

after seeing this thread, i made a ticket, and i received some CSC because the staff member was "not able to add any Gold Account time directly to your account since doing so would have overwritten your subscription"... is that the expected fix for now or should it have worked manually? sorry i am confused, i read through all the messages here but still unsure, just double checking, thank you!!
if a UA did that, that is probably the fix for this time. next time if a GA is given out again in the future, subscribers should receive the benefit without having to file a ticket. This will either come as an extension to their GA if possible or some CSC like this time, but without needing to file a ticket to receive it :)
mmh yes that much i understood, that in the future it should be done automatically, but i somehow thought i understood that programmes had found a temporary fix for now that had to be done manually by staff, so i wasn't sure the csc was the correct answer/behavior!! :D better safe than sorry, didn't want to spend something that didn't really belong to me eh!! haha thanks :D
well if a UA gave you the CSC, that's the fix they agreed on :) you can always trust what they do is the correct way =)
The temporary fix is adding the equivalent in CSC to your account to make up for the missed time.

I think the point is to be given time as compensation because you stuck with the site through a hard time rather than something you can sell. This is by no means the official word but I think this is why the medals are not given out.

Is the automatic/non-ticket method already in place?
I can't quite remember when my subscription renews (either October or November, I think), so I don't know if I need to pay attention to this or if it will take care of itself when the time comes.
Speaking of, is there an obvious/easy way to tell when your subscription renews that I'm just missing? I tried looking on the subscription page and user prefs page but didn't see it.

as far as I know, for the GA that just went out to everyone a few days ago, everyone who has a subscription needs to file a ticket :) the other question I don't know the answer to since I've never done a subscription :x
The issue only happens when the subscription renews though - I interpreted the "future" comment as future renewal dates rather than future GA bonuses/add-ons, but I definitely might have misunderstood.
