just make sure you go and TRY to open the bronze door once you get the key. After you do that, you will be told you have to come back tomorrow and click on it again to actually open it. :-)

I read 2 and 8 pins as using only ten pins :1 (not sure if it's solvable that way then?)
err... honestly I would have much more appreciated the text saying "a score" instead of "2 and"? It really doesn't seem obvious that "2" meant 2 of tens [decimals, base ten], and honestly I think it woulda been cooler and more on theme if it was "a score" since ancient mayans counted in base twenty
yea, I get that puzzles are supposed to be puzzling but I'm feelin' really misled by that wording, haha. Two pence of thoughts? not sure if I should even bother pinging any creative staff about this

I loved this puzzle when I played it in Professor Layton, but the execution was kind of weird here.
You can't undo a mistake without clearing the entire board, and everything is all the same color so it gets muddle very fast. PL let you draw the lines in different colors and it highlighted pegs as they were used up, so you could easily see which were still available.
It feels weird to me to copy a puzzle from somewhere else but leave out everything that makes it intuitive and playable?

Thanks for all the tips, especially the squares/pins puzzle!!
i was going at that puzzle forever
I'm so frustrated. What does it mean to "use" a pin? What qualifies as using the pin? I wish they could LIGHT UP or something to display which ones I've used already!
- Each square you draw will use four pins. The pins will act as the corners of the square, with the lines between them being the sides.
You can't use a single pin as the corner to two separate squares.

- Thank you, that's what I thought. But since I've been struggling with the puzzle a long time, I was worried I was wrong about what it meant. Your explanation is very helpful and also tells me an easy way to check which ones are used. You may have saved my sanity, good sir. (And my self-esteem. I really don't want to skip the puzzle or get the solution from somebody else.)
WHERE WAS ELWOOD AT THE START OMG
Btw OP updated with tips and the actual solution. Obviously if you have time it's great if you can try to solve it on your own first IN THE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE

- I didn't get any kind of pop up other than something saying This door has a series of four locks - bronze, iron, silver, and gold. You will need to collect all 4 keys before approaching this door again. Nothing about coming back tomorrow. Am I missing a step?
- I completed the puzzle and clicked repeatedly on the door and nothing happened...until I clicked on it again for the bazillionth time and suddenly it worked. IDK. Go fish. LOL
thank you so much for the solution i never played such a puzzle solution before, so i had no idea of how to solve it. == the plot would have been over and i would still try to solve the stupid puzzle ==
